Mas de Tarnie is a typical, French Provencal, country villa of 2500 square feet situated in five acres of pine and oak trees, flowering shrubs, and rosemary. The beautiful nature of the region allows for great strolls, hiking, and biking. With a stream crossing the land just outside the property, all that you see are the vistas of hills and beautiful nature with possibility to horseback ride or cross country in woodland tracks. When you sit next to the pool and admire the view, breathing the perfumed air, you get the beautiful feeling of being in full contact with nature. Yet only two minutes away, you have the beautiful, medieval village of Assas, an unspoiled village, with a castle classified historical monument.
All around you have vineyards and wine producers where you can go taste and buy the great wine of the region. Twelve minutes from home, you can reach the charming city of Montpellier offering all sorts of entertainment (cinema, restaurants, festival, museums, etc...). Montpellier has an International Airport and a fast speed train (TGV), it is located one hour by plane from Paris, less than one hour from Provence (Avignon, Luberon...,two hours drive from Cannes, and three-hours drive from Barcelona.
This wonderful house has been completely renovated in 2003 and 2004 and offers the comfort of a new house with the charm and poetry of the old stones. The house has two floors.
On the first floor,there is a romantic master bedroom with a beautiful view and a bathroom. Then,there is a spacious living room with a fireplace, a dining room with a veranda, and a kitchen which opens up into the dining room. The dining room has a bar where you can serve yourself an aperitif, sipping some wine while listening to nature. From the dining room you can step out into the barbecue area (large teck table and chairs)surronded by Olive trees.
On the second floor, there are four different bedrooms all with their personal charm and history. One of the rooms has its own entrance and its own terrace for sun bathing and further privacy. There is a second bathroom on this floor. The house is furnished by the Italian owners with taste and is a mixture of modern design furniture and antique pieces
Adjacent to the main house you can rent separately from September to June included, the "Kyoto Loft" a space for relaxation and well being in the spirit of zen harmony and peace. It is a 700 square feet open space, completely modern with large windows and going out to a big terrace deck with a splendid view.Inside you have a king size bed and spaceful dressing space, wc, a SPA area with big Japanese hot bathtub (onsen) facing the view, a large living room with chimney , high tech kitchen with bar fully equiped. It is the perfect spot for a loving couple, yet it can hold 2 more persons to sleep in the sofa.
Rental for the LOFT depending on number of persons and period is between 600 euros and 800 euros per week all included.
During summer time, the LOFT can be rented with the Mas for the same group but never for 2 separate groups. |
