This is an unusual, handcrafted Jackson Hole West Bank home -- an 1,800 square foot solar log home on Fish Creek Road, remodeled and expanded in 2001. It is furnished tastefully partly in the style of the Himalaya, where the owners lived for two decades, and features a spacious living-dining-kitchen area, perfect for relaxing and entertaining. The house has three bedrooms and 2 full baths, and sleeps 5 to 9.
The kitchen has a large Wolf stove and a ship's porthole that looks north to Grand Teton and the ski area (JH Mountain Resort). The house includes a utility room with washer and dryer, workbench and tools for working on skis, and a large yard looking out on a stunning view of Sleeping Indian. Located near the bike path.
There is a log office thirty feet from the house, and the house and office have wireless Internet and phones with unlimited long distance (USA) dialing, with 2 desks, a printer, etc. The rustic but popular summer guest cottage known as the "Shackteau", may be available -- ask about this. It has electricity and a double bed (not included in the bed numbers listed above) but no plumbing.
A canoe and bikes are available.

Didi and Brot spent more than 20 years in the Himalaya of Nepal, Tibet and India, and were married there. Didi imports Himalayan rugs (www.didithunder.com) and Brot is a writer, consultant and lecturer (www.unusualspeaker.com).

I came to JH as a ski racer originally in 1964, and felt privileged to return with my family -- and they have thrived, growing up here.
