Accommodations: Apartment, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 3-6)
Keywords: 2-Bed Apartment
Our stylish, comfortable and very peaceful apartment sits in a beautifully restored, elegant 19th century building - right in the centre of historic Krakow. Situated on a quiet street (Ul. Batorego), it has its own balcony overlooking large private gardens. And whilst this is an an unusually undisturbed part of the Old Town, it's still only 5 minutes walk from the city's famous Market Square with all its cafes, restaurants and night life. The building has been lovingly restored to a very high standard, with its stunning 19th century stained glass wooden stairwell. At 900 square feet, it's an exceptionally spacious 2 bedroomed home, renovated in keeping with the period - a mixture of modern design with a touch of classic charm. Its light and high-ceilinged rooms have parquet flooring and two old ceramic stoves. It's our second home, designed to be functional and comfortable - with satellite TV, fully equipped kitchen, central heating, big bathroom and original art deco furniture in keeping with the city's style. We are close to the best shops and restaurants that Krakow has to offer (and it has plenty), but we're especially fond of the great pastries in a little cake shop directly outside our front door.

Beautiful Historic Apartment in Old Town Centre
Year Purchased: 2006
Why the Owner Chose Krakow (Cracow)
Anna is originally from Warsaw but we went on a family holiday to Krakow a few years ago and fell in love with the city. We decided that we wanted to have our second home here. After months of searching we found this gem of an apartment, in a beautiful 19th century building, lovingly restored by its owners. We preserved its old features, ceramic stoves and parquet flooring. And added some modern ones - joining the kitchen and the living room with huge sliding doors and knocking together two dingy utility rooms off the balcony, creating a rather unusual bathroom. Then we found some antique furniture in local shops and made it into a home.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
The location is perfect. You're right in the centre of the old city, a few minutes away from the famous Market Square and all the amenities, yet the apartment is peaceful and quiet, tucked in a side street, away from the tourist crowds and noisy bars. It's best feature is the little south-facing balcony where the sun never sets and where you can enjoy early morning breakfast or a glass of wine in the afternoon. What more can one want?

We are two professional radio journalists with three children. We live in London, but love to travel. Anna is Polish born and this is our second home and a favourite place to stay when we visit our family in Poland.

We really appriecated the restaurant recommendations although we didn't have time to try them all, the ones we did try though were yummy!! Maybe we will have to return to try some of the others!! Just to say thank you for letting us rent your apartment in Krakow, it was as good as we had hoped, what a fantastic location, but yet so quiet! We wish we had stayed longer, there was so much more we didn't get time to do / see. Really glad we booked with you, and thank you for the welcome pack you emailed across which was really helpful. I know my mother is very keen to go to Krakow again, she went some years ago, so this is probably not the last you'll hear from us!
