Our stay at this unit from Feb 8th to Mar 15th this year was very enjoyable. Of course, when you are leaving a Canadian winter................ahhhh The unit was as presented on the VRBO website and the view from the Lanai was really great. The marina and all boats going in and out of the harbour. The beach is spectacular!! A short walk and you are there..............white sand and warm water. The kitchen was lovely and we could have our meals in , quite often. It is close to all interesting activites in the area and "The Bus" is a great way to get around. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping areas , if that is what you are interested in. The owner of the condo is very pleasant to deal with and most accomodating. Also the staff at the Ilikai are most helpful too. We had a wonderful vacation.................We would highly recommend this unit .
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, age 55+.

We enjoyed our stay and definitely will visit again. PROS; VIEW!!!!! This unit is on the side where you can have a 'true' ocean view. LOCATION. On the strip of Waikiki... can't complain. I love this location. Did I mention the awesome view??! CLEAN. One of our biggest fear was that this place was not clean. However, the moment we walked in and inspected the condo, we could not find a thing to complain. Bed sheets and towels clean that we didn't have to use a flat bed sheet that we brought.;) AMENITIES. boogie board, beach chairs, beach towels, full kitchen (we actually cooked a lot), stereo with iPOD docker, etc. OWNER. the owner was easy to work with. FYI... If anyone asks me... there were minor defects...1) the rice cooker did not work properly. The button didn't stay pushed down to 'cook'. Which became annoying since I actually had to watch out for the rice to cook. 2) NOT this unit's problem... but the hotel has total of 6 elevators, including 'bather's'. During our stay one was 'broken'. Even with 5 elevators, we had to wait quite sometime to get to the lobby or our floor. Many times when the elevator finally arrived it was full and had to wait for the next couple of them. When we brought this issue to the general manager (after waiting literally 15 min for the elevator), he told us, "yes. the part is coming from Mainland and it is taking time. Relax, you are in Hawaii" However, small price to pay to stay at the Ilikai condo.
