This is a historical dovetailed notched log cabin.
This cabin has been utilized since 1906 when it was the general store. It is the oldest surviving structure in Lower Stanley. Rentals available by the day, week or month. Stay where State of Idaho Fish and Game officers stayed since 1937. The game wardens stayed here when they patrolled the area, that is how the name "Patrol Cabin" was derived.
The 500 square foot cozy cabin features a living room stone fireplace (electric), dining room table for four, living room with futon/sofa and 2 comfortable chairs, full kitchen, separate bedroom and bath.
This cabin is ideal for a couple or a couple with small children. It sleeps five although 3 to 4 is more comfortable.
The bedroom has a double bed with a single bed above. There is also a futon/sofa that folds out in the living room. It features a private yard with picnic table and great Sawtooth views.
Snowmobile parking & immediate access to XC and snowmobile trails is available in the winter. Private horse corrals are available nearby for rent.
This is an economical alternative to staying in a hotel. The managers live in another house on the same property. They are there to help make your stay enjoyable.
The Patrol Cabin does not have telephone, stereo or TV, it is a rustic retreat where you can get away from these modern amenities.
