This lovely, light and spacious holiday apartment has been newly renovated (July 2008) and sits on the banks of the River Arguenon in the delightful market town of Plancoet.
Plancoet is a thriving little town known for its medieval beauty and flowers. It is also famous for being the home of Brittany's only bottled spring water. It lies on the banks of the River Arguenon and is only 10 minutes inland from Brittany's delightful coast. Plancoet is a busy country town with a weekly market, nice stores and restaurants ranging from creperies to the famous Michelin-starred, Le Crouzil.
Step outside the apartment and within a short stroll you can be dining at a number of restaurants and cafes, buying bread from one of two bakeries, or shopping for your dinner. Your children will enjoy feeding the ducks or visiting the playground at the nice park across the street.
This is the perfect location to explore Brittany. Only a short drive away are the natural and unspoiled beaches and seaside resorts of the Emerald Coast. The medieval town of Dinan with its timbered buildings, castle and port is only 15 minutes away. Easy day trips include the seaside resorts of Dinard, St. Jacut de la Mer and St. Cast. St. Malo, with its rebuilt ramparts and wonderful stores and fabulous aquarium, can be reached in only 20 minutes. Visit the oyster beds of Cancale and have the freshest oysters at the daily market. Enjoy the fresh, clean air and the beautiful scenery of the coast with a walk along the GR34.
The airport in Pleurtuit is only 15 minutes away with daily flights to London Stansted (1 hour) via RyanAir. From Paris, flights to Rennes are 45 minutes and from there, the apartment is an easy one hour drive.
ACCOMODATIONS:
This apartment is located on the 2nd (top) floor of an established apartment building overlooking the Arguenon River. All of the furnishings are new and the apartment has been renovated.
Kitchen: Well-equipped, good-sized kitchen area with stove and oven, refrigerator, and large kitchen table with seating for six.
Lounge: Very attractive, spacious lounge furnished with two very comfortable sofas, tv receiving satellite SKY (English) channels, VHS player, DVD player and portable Sony Radio/CD player.
Bedroom #1: The master bedroom is spacious with a window overlooking the river. It has a queen-sized bed, fitted wardrobe and armoire.
Bedroom #2: The second bedroom or children's room has two twin beds.
Windows are located in each room. The bathroom has wall shower fitting/bathtub, wash basin and washing machine. There is a separate toilet.
All of your immediate needs are found at your doorstop: supermarket, butchers, bakeries, banks, newsagents, pharmacy, bars and restaurants.
