  Our family tries to get together every few years since we live from Oregon to Florida and all in-between. It is hard to find an affordable house big enough for my 5 children, 7 grandchildren, spouses, my husband, me, and my elderly mother. One of my daughter-in-laws found this home and it was perfect! We had a wonderful time playing games at the house, swimming at the pool directly next door, going to the beach, shopping, and had so many places to visit including para-sailing! The home is very well stocked with everything we needed and it is beautifully furnished too! Thank you so much for the fabulous vacation! ~The Faulkner Family

  This was our 3rd annual family trip to Destin and our second year in Kristen's beautiful beach home. Just as last year, the house was impeccable upon our afternoon arrival. Its location in the gated community makes it a short walk to the beach, while still being private and free from beach traffic and noise. The community pool next door was never crowded as we had it to ouselves much of the time. I think repeat business makes for some of the best testimonials and we hope to return here for a 3rd year next June.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

  We had 20 people in our group with ages from 2 to 40ish. Eight parents and the rest kids. The home is decorated beautifully and we were surprised at all the extras that were provided from the goody baskets to the abundance of beach towels and toys that were provided. We visited the beach and pool everyday. The homeowner went above and beyond with any minor problems that came up and we would definitely recommend this property to others and hope to stay there again.

  We loved our stay! We had 16 of us that stayed in this home and 12 were teenagers. We were all comfortable and the house is beautiful. This house is located in a gated community, which was a plus. The community pool is right next to this home and it is like having a private pool, the kids loved it. Great location to the beach, Pampano Joes restaurant, and the rest of Destin. The owner was great to work with, very friendly and sincere in wanting us to be comfortable and have a good time. We had an all around awesome experience with this home and Destin as a vacation spot. We would recommend this home and area. Awesome stay!

  We housed 22 for our family reunion (a kid slept comfortably on the floor and one in a travel crib) and there was definitely room for all. I'll second the previous reviews....close to the beach, but far enough away from the noise of the beach, neighbors were quiet and helpful, CVS and souvenir shop in walking distance, the house is well kept, kitchen and kitchenware was more than adequate, and the pool right next door is enjoyable. Thank you for a wonderful retreat!

  This location was perfect for our family of 23, including 15 adults, 7 children, and 1 infant. Each day we spent deciding between the pool directly next to the house or the beach only a 0.5 mile walk away. Everyone had a place to sleep. We cooked dinner every night to keep things cheap, and the house was well equipped to do so. Plenty of towels, and plenty of space for games and fun inside. This house was so great for us, and we had a great time! Thanks!

  Our family , a group of 15 had a wonderful stay in this spacious beutiful home. There is plenty of room to gather or just relax in your own room. The pool was right next to the house and never crowded.The neighbors were very polite. The walk to the beach was not too far away .The owners were great to deal and Kristen was very quick to respond with answers to any question .We would most definitly stay again..

  Our party of 14 (6 adults, 8 children) stayed here June 11-18th 2011. We found the home to be nicely furnished and very well maintained. The Kuerig coffee maker with 24 servings of different varieties of coffee was one of many of the "extras" this house offered. The home is located on a cul de sac so traffic is minimal. One of two "community' pools is located right next door. Even though we went during high season, most days we had the pool to ourselves. Last year we stayed in a home in the same subdivision that had a private pool. The problem was that it was so small that it seemed overcrowded with more than four people in it. I would not pay the extra for a private pool again. The beach is a short walk as are two tasty restaurants ( Whale's Tail and Pompano Joe's). We were saddened to return this year and see Theo's Pizza had closed. I cannot think of one bad thing about our experience with this property. We highly reccommend it and hope to return again!

  We had a great time at the Emerald Coast Retreat! The pictures do not do this home justice. It was super comfortable and felt MUCH bigger than 5 bedrooms. My family, my sisters', and my parents came with us- everyone raved about the accomadations. The beach was just a short walk away. The community pool was LITERALLY right next store- it was great! We had plenty of room to gather as a group and enough space to go to our separate quarters and relax. They have everything you could ask for- even a high chair! I wish I would have asked before I brought ours. It was a wonderful vacation and we hope to go back again!
