This gated home features a main house with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a private, attached one bedroom, one bathroom cottage.
Distinctive in its use of unique colors and textures in the indoor and outdoor living spaces, this residence affords you all the comforts of home - at the fraction of a hotel room price.The interior features original restored 1920 wood floors, as well as modern bamboo flooring and recessed ceiling lighting throughout all rooms. The warmth of the wood floors is accented by curved doorways, chunky molding, an original fireplace in the living room, Italian-style lime-based wall treatments in the incredibly spacious family and dining rooms surrounding the fully-updated, modern kitchen. The open-floorplan, large kitchen comes fully equipped with stainless steel refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave and large capacity washer and dryer, iron, and lots of extra storage space. Coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans, utensils, and linens are all provided - even the mojito glasses are ready for you. The second bedroom, as large as the master, provides two sets of large bunk beds (full/twin and twin/twin), sleeping five comfortably. The 3rd bedroom has a Queen-sized bed. The second bathroom is beautifully tiled with unique stone accents. The attached cottage (can only be rented together with main house) affords a private entrance, French doors leading to the patio area, Queen-sized bed, full refrigerator, microwave, eat-in kitchenette and full bathroom.
Surrounded by lush landscaping, this home features a large two-tier slate stone Patio area great for entertaining as it offers a large grill and comfortable outdoor tables (seating 12), sofas and chairs for your al fresco dining experience. Huge Royal Palms, Coke Bottle Palms, bright pink bougainvillea, and lots of greenery surround the property for full privacy. We stayed here for a family event. The house was big enough for three families to stay comfortably and was perfect for all of us to be together. The house was clean and well maintained. It has wide open spaces for socializing and enough quirky features to make it interesting. It's in a residential neighborhood, not on the beach or any uniquely Florida location, but it's close to just about everything, the airport, Key Biscayne, Coconut Grove, University of Miami and especially downtown Coral Gables which was really convenient. The owner of the house was fantastic; very easy to work with and very, very helpful. We didn't have any complications or problems during our stay. Overall very enjoyable.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.
