Whether you are searching for that special romantic getaway, or the fun filled memorable family vacation, this 3 bedroom, two story, plantation style beach house located in the "Corazon de Hermosa", the heart of Playa Hermosa, is for you.

Considered to be the most beautiful white sand beach in the southern Nicoya Peninsula, located at the exclusive, less developed, northern end of the relaxed beach community of Santa Teresa, Playa Hermosa is truly a "wow" beach.

The spectacular wide flat beach provides great surfing and many other recreational opportunities for all ages and abilities.

The house is in the center of 6 lush private acres with old growth almond and coconut trees on the beachfront and large native trees throughout the property creating monkey highways and other habitats to an amazing diversity of wildlife.

You will see and hear howler monkeys, white face monkeys, iguanas, birds and other wildlife all from the front porch or your bedroom window!

The beautiful sounds of song birds in the mornings along with the howlers calling to each other and the waves crashing on the beach creates a symphony of nature all around you.

After a day of surfing, beachcombing, tanning, exploring or just relaxing, be sure to take in the sunset. Sunsets are particularly impressive here and due to our proximity to the equator, the "green flash" is a common sight.

Hungry? Hop in your rental car for fine dining just a mile away. We provide a list of local restaurants with special attention to our favorites.

If you prefer to relax at home, arrangements can be made for one of our local chefs to come and prepare a dinner for you in the privacy of your own home.

Feeling sore from all that activity? We have a list of local massage therapists available to help get the knots out. Grocery shopping and maid service are available upon request.

  • This is the perfect vacation get-away. I spent the best 10 days of my life there last year. The beaches are beyond gorgeous, the house is comfortable and perfectly casual. The owners, Craig and Leslie, are wonderful and highly knowledgable about the area. They've been there forever. You'll love watching the monkeys migrating through the treetops, while you're having your morning coffee on the deck. (Be sure to snag a fresh banana to go with it from the trees on the property.) Costa Rica is the perfect vacation, and this is the place to go!!!

  • What an amazing vacation! Our family vacation was better than we could have imagined. Great for the family because of the large estate and only steps to the beach, and also secluded enough for a private and romantic stay. The beach is literally just out front of the house and is GORGEOUS! Wide beach, soft white sand, warm water, gentle waves close to shore with great surf outside - and great tidepools to explore are just a short walk down the beach! And yes - sunsets are unlike anywhere else! We saw green flash sunsets, LOTS of monkeys and iguanas, and enjoyed local restaurants and businesses too. We got a massage on the beach with Kata and were massaged under the shade of the trees with the sound of the ocean in the background....AMAZING! This house is truly a unique spot as it is a secluded beachfront property surrounded by undisturbed nature, yet a quick trip into town for restaurants, dancing, and other adventures. All while being able to truly relax in a comfortable home with all the amenities. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and we WILL be back!

  • My husband & I had the pleasure of experiencing this phenomenal tropical paradise & recommend this retreat to everyone. Not only can you relax at the beach by day & enjoy the town at night you can also participate in releasing stress through yoga classes that are available in the town. It is truly beautiful to awaken to the sounds of the beach & monkeys parading though the dense foliage. A trip worth remembering!!!!

  • This is an AWESOME property. One of the best surf beaches in Costa Rica. The property is huge and allows for lots of privacy. The house is very functional with surf racks, covered parking and a large kitchen. We were there in November and a second time in May. May is Mango season; the property has great fruit trees: lemon, mango and coconut. We got to meet the owners, they were very friendly and accommodating.

  • We really enjoyed our week stay at this house. I was so impressed by its secluded and very private location nestled amongst the trees with the beach only steps away. The house was perfect for our family's needs. We were amazed to see the monkeys cruising the treetops each day right out our windows. The beach was great with good surf and warm water and such fantastic sunsets!! Would go back in a heartbeat!
