Relax! That's what it's all about at the WEBFOOTE cottage, just one lot from the ocean in Salvo, one of the tri-villages at the northern end of Hatteras Island. Life takes a slower pace here as you shuck your shoes for fip flops and toss your neck ties for tee shirts. A quick walk through the dunes reveals a wide beautiful beach, part of the National Seashore,perfect for sunning, walking, swimming, fishing, and forgetting about the world. Walk up to the Rodanthe Pier or walk south and see the mast of a sunken ship, right off the beach in Salvo.
Webfoote's family friendly layout is cozy and comfortable, featuring an open first floor kitchen/dining/living area that opens to two large oceanside decks. The main floor has two bedrooms (double bed and two singles) and a full bath. The 2nd floor has two larger bedrooms
(both queens) and a full bath. From these rooms catch a view of the sound from the private balcony, or a view of the ocean from the sun deck.
Two outside showers, fish cleaning station with running water, and under house entry make for easy beach living. When the sun goes down it's time for cookout suppers on the deck, a walk down the street for ice cream, friendly card games and bon fires on the beach. Life at the beach... it's lazy and comfortable at the Webfoote.
Besides enjoying the pristine beauty of the national seashore, there's lots to do here. From watersports in the sound and ocean, to visiting the historic Hatteras lighthouse, to a ferry ride to Ocracoke to see the wild horses, to visits in Manteo to the Lost Colony or to Nags Head to the Wright Brothers Memorial,you'll find activities for the entire family. History and present day adventures come to life here on the Outer Banks.
