Why the Owner Chose Truman Annex
Key west has always been one of our favorite vacation destinations. Key West's winter weather is usually the warmest in the U.S. Key West is a happening place with numerous restaurants and you can always find something to do. Our next best vacation destination would be Sanibel Island where we also own condos. Without leaving the States the weather just doesn't get any better.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We enjoy everything about Key West. The Restaurants are numerous and great. There is always a party atmosphere with extremely friendly people. The snorkeling at the nearby reef is difficult to duplicate and the Sunsets are always so different and a definite treat. We also like going down to Mallory square and watch the street performers who perform every evening around sunset. Biking Key West is a Must.

We stayed at the condo with another couple. The condo was just perfect. Loved the decor and furnishings -- everything was very clean. Fantastic sunsets on the huge deck!!!! We were able to walk every where we wanted to go. Duval Street is really close -- and fun. None of us had ever been to Key West before -- we would go back and stay in the same condo. We had never used VRBO before -- and had heard about good and bad experiences from others -- but everything was perfect. Marita was easy to work with. Thanks!!

The condo was beautiful, bright and very clean. The sunset views were spectactular, better than Mallory Square. We would watch the sun set from the deck, then walk to Mallory Square. Most activities are within walking distance. Many of the water activities are just outside the gate to Truman Annex. Our family had a great time and one of the favorite things, even for our teenagers, was just watching the boats going in and out of the harbor. Enjoyed the Danger Full Day Sail Boat/Snorkling/Kayaking trip with Captain Brian and 1st Mate Susan, which is conveniently located just outside the Truman Annex gate. Had a great time! Also had a great experience catching Mahi-Mahi on the Compass Rose with Captain Mike Wienhofer located in Charter Boat Row. The Hogfish Grill on Stock Island cooked our catch, great place, great food, friendly people. Duvall Street is just a couple of blocks away. Very easy walk. This was the first time I have ever rented a condo through VRBO and was a little apprehensive. The owners were very helpful and pleasant. I would not hesitate to rent this condo again or any other condos they own. Very pleased with our experience. Looking forward to returning for another wonderful vacation someday.

When Y walk in the door and drop your bags your mouth will drop ... THE VIEW IS BREATHTAKING.... Condo is spotless ....Wait till y see the deck .. y will watch the boats all day and the crusie ships dock...Y will almost hate to leave to venture into town. Y will not be disappointed . It was or first trip to KW but will not be our last and I would stay here again for sure.Y can walk almost eveywhere but it is so cool to rent an electric car which we did for a couple of days. Y must go to breakfast at Blue Heaven.. home made bananna bread... and do happy hour at the Boat House under the Commomdore Restaurant on the pier... I hate to say it but we went back there three times.... we did lunch at Sunset Key .. pricey but beautiful.. we did a day with Sebego tours and did the sunset cruise ... so much fun... we did it all and loved it.... I almost forgot the pool is great...... If y have been searching for a place and reading reviews like I did I can tell you for sure you will be so glad y booked this condo.. we were there with another couple and had plenty of room .. beds were great ... honestly there is not one thing negative .. nothing....the owners attention to detail was much appreciated..... great airfare on Air Tran out of BWI ....266.00 RT .. I could go on and on....but y will see for yourself and then y will be typing a similar review..... ENJOY!!!!!

This condo truly is "perfect in every way". The decor is bright & beachy - definitely my tastes! The deck is unbelievable! And the Key West sunset is so picturesque. While everyone else has to go to Mallory Square to get a peak of the sunset thru the crowd, you can have your own private view from the HUGE deck! The location couldn't be better! So very close to Duval & all you'll want to see & do. We rented bikes but didn't really need to, since everything is in walking distance. Marita is great to work with, too :-) By far one of the best vacations we've ever had!!!!

We rented this unit October 2010 and it was wonderful. The unit was exactly as listed, it was clean and in a very nice location (Truman Annex, Key West). The owners were very nice, easy to deal with and prompt in getting back to us (by e-mail) with any questions we had. We hope to go back and will definately stay in this unit if it is available.

Four of us, two couples stayed in this lovely condo to celebrate a 50th bday, May 8th - 13th, 2010. Our first night out on the deck we watched the most beautiful sunset with various sailboats and charters heading out of the marina for their sunset cruises. WOW is all you can say. Each morning we would have our coffee and fruit out on the deck checking to see what cruise ships were in port for the day. Just a short walk out to Duval Street or out the gate walking past the marina to Mallory square..the location of this condo is ideal. Don and Marita were very easy to work with and answered all my questions quickly, all aspects of this rental went very smoothly. One pleasant surprise was that BOTH bedrooms had ensuite bathrooms which made it convenient for both couples. The condo had everything we needed. I did laundry and both the washer and dryer worked great. We enjoyed Michael McCloud at Schooner's Wharf one afternoon and a band at Green Parrot. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the shopping and our husbands enjoyed flats fishing with Capt. Luke Kelly out of Sugarloaf. We are looking forward to our next visit and would definitely stay here again! Thank You Don & Marita for such a wonderful stay!

Just returned from our 7th annual Key West vacation. We've previously stayed at high-end B&Bs and the nearby Hyatt Sunset Harbor timeshare property, and this condo is by far our very favorite of them all. The location is ideal, with the hub-bub of Mallory Square and Duval Street a short walk away, but serenity and security in the Truman Annex complex. The owners' descriptions and pictures are spot on. I had several questions both before and during the rental, and the owner always responded immediately. The condo is beautifully and tastefully decorated. Mattresses and bedding are of high quality; lots of extra bedding, pillows and towels. The kitchen is substantially stocked with utensils, dishes, and cookware. The deck is indeed huge, shared with two other units. We very much enjoyed interacting with folks staying in other units so don't see this deck-sharing as a negative. The deck faces west, making it extremely pleasant in the mornings when the hot sun is behind the 3-story building. And it's of course wonderful when the sun is setting directly in front of you! The parking garage is under the building and access to the unit is via elevator; there is one space assigned to this unit. If I could wave a wand to make things absolutely perfect for me, I would make it possible to just walk out of the unit onto the waterfront and the pool; the rail you see at the deck's edge is a far as you can go. We found it very awkward to exit the rear of the condo, go down the elevator and then walk through the parking garage to get to the pool area and beyond that the waterfront/boardwalk access. But this was a minor thing when compared with the positive attributes of this condo.
