If you're ready for a round of golf, a gourmet meal, some fabulous shopping or a movie, you'll find them all within minutes. Public golf is just down the road and Mashpee Commons, with shopping, restaurants and a movie theater, is only a few miles away. Year Purchased: 2002
This adorable home belonged to my husband's parents. Since acquiring it in 2002, we have repainted the entire interior, installed wainscoting in the kitchen and upstairs bathroom, laid a new floor in the kitchen, installed new fixtures in the upstairs bathroom, rebuilt the sunroom, installed a stone patio and walkway, installed an enclosed, hot and cold outdoor shower, upgraded the electrical system, re-shingled, replaced the roof and all first-floor windows, repointed the chimney and repaired the garage foundation. We are now working on the gardens. We rent the house during the summers to offset some of these costs and to enable us to keep the home in the family. We live north of Boston, are in our late fifties, and have three grown children and a super black Labrador Retriever named Skip.
Owner is also a real estate sales agent, holding license #009512312 from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The peace and privacy we enjoy here is unmatched. We awake to bird songs in the spring, watch geese and ducks as they glide in over the lake, and enjoy swimming in the lake. We play tennis at nearby Falmouth High School, walk the holly reservation at Ashumet, go antiquing, and go shopping and dining at nearby Mashpee Commons. Our sister and brother-in-law have used the place as a base for enjoying the beach and the many public golf courses nearby.
