A Place on the Lake is a duplex with two sides Blue & Aqua
It can be rented for your bigger group both sides for 5 bedrooms 5 baths! Sleep up to 9 in beds and there are extra air mattresses, too.
It is fully equipped with two fully stocked gourmet kitchens, wireless internet, tvs in all the bedrooms with DVDs or Tivos attached to them. The lake makes for amazing sunsets. We like to take a beverage outside on the decks and watch the sunset across the lake. In the winter, you get great pink alpenglow and in the summer the bright reds and oranges are lovely too.
All the beds have down comforters and luxury bedding. One side of the duplex is large (blue) with a dining room table that will seat 8, one wood stove and one gas fireplace. It's three stories on one side and two stories on the other so that you have plenty of private areas and yet the big dining kitchen open area makes a nice place for everyone to come together at meals, etc.
In the summer, the yard is lovely. A Place on the Lake sets on a corner lot with a half acre of landscaped bright green grass to play in or set up out door tents for big cookouts. There are plenty of trees and a hammock if you just want to escape. There is outdoor seating for 14. The BBQ has seen a lot of big burger cook outs.
In the winter, the alpenglow sunsets are a hot pink treat every evening out across the lake.
The canoe is over 10' long and can easily hold 2 or 3 people. You will find oars and life vests in the dock box. Fishing (permit required) can be done right from the yard or using the canoe in the lake.
The unit also has lots of flip flops and robes for heading downtown to the hotsprings for a soak!

Why the Owner Chose Pagosa Springs
We are from Pagosa Springs and have lots of family still in town. It's a wonderful retreat with beauty that can't be beat. It is a perfect mix of high mountains and enough town so that you can find fancy cheese and fresh flowers.
The Unique Benefits at this Duplex
The lake frontage is great as a way to stop the clock and just be present. If there is a mild wind the water sparkles like an ocean and when it's still you can see the sky in it. The canoe is right in the yard as a way to get a little extra water connection too. There is a lot of foul in the lake and the fish are visable as you stand at the edge of the yard.
