This sweet spot on Lake Pagosa has all the comforts of home with all the beauty and tranquility one would want on a mountain vacation. The views of the lake are spectacular not only from the spacious greener than green yard, but also from a fireside perch (if you like) in the living and dining area. Comfy beds with cozy linens. Attractive and very clean home with plenty of space and privacy. Quick drive away from shopping and the great hot springs in Pagosa. In the early summer, you must go rafting in the San Juan River. Full Moon Program on Chimney Rock nothing less than spectacular. Try DSP Pizza for a fun lunch or dinner. Chill out or go for a "hot" mountain challenge in this beautiful place. We will go back. Owner, friendly and helpful in every way.

The rental is everything one could ask for in vacation location and amenities. Situated in beautiful Pagosa Springs, this unit is extremely clean, comfortable and located close to shopping and dining establishments. I especially love the deck overlooking the lake. We were able to kayak the lake, grill a dinner and watch fabulous sunsets. There is so much to do in the area that having everything in one unit (ie kitchen, washer, etc) was exactly what we were looking for and everything the ad said it would be.
Owner response:ah. thank you for the nice comments! come back soon... lk

We greatly enjoyed our stay at A Place on The Lake. We were 4 adults, one toddler. They had baby gates and the house did well to suit all of our needs. The fireplaces were cozy, there were lots of games, books, CDs to entertain us. The kitchen was well-equipped and we were able to make delicious meals and eat them around the table together. We came while it was snowy, but eyed the lake and boating equipment with interest - possibly we will come back in the summer and play on the lake too! Beautiful property, warm and welcoming hosts. We also enjoyed the sampling of bee beauty products left for us on the table - how thoughtful!

The location is great: only a few minutes from the grocery store, restaurants, and recreation center (where kids can play on the playground or swim in the pool). Everything about staying here was hassle-free and convenient. There was a washer and dryer we made use of, dishes, and so wonderfully decorated! The view was unbeatable from the inside and the deck! Cozy and awesome, would highly recommend staying here!

It also helped that you accept pets, L never leaves home without her baby.

This beautiful property on the lake in Pagosa Springs, Colorado is more than a getaway, its like a home away from home. Upon your arrival, you are greeted with a beautiful lake surrounded by lush green trees and a view of the mountains peeking through in the background. Aside from etherial view and crisp Colorado air, the home itself is like a dream. With all of the amenities you can imagine (full kitchen, dining area, plush beds, big, open windows, comfy sofas, fireplace, etc) you are left never wanting to leave. Whether you are a sports enthusiast looking to ski the slopes when the powder is prime, or a couple looking for a romantic getaway this is the place for you. During our stay, my boyfriend and I had easy access to the mountains, hot springs, and local restaurants and shops. We definitely took advantage of the beautiful scenery and great things that Pagosa Springs has to offer, but some of our favorite moments on our trip were curled up with some coffee on the patio and relaxing by the fire. The property is beautiful, clean, well maintained and an all around welcoming place to stay. It's easy to make yourself at home and never want to leave. I would most definitely stay here again anytime I am in Pagosa and would tell everyone I know about this little gem located in the heart of the mountains.

There is nothing better than a girls weekend in Pagosa Springs! Girls weekend has turned into an annual trip and we always stay at the wonderfully relaxing A Place on the Lake. We take a long weekend in the fall (anytime is good) and enjoy the falls colors, hot springs, hiking, horseback riding, and if we plan it right... the Colorfest with the Hot Air Balloons. There is no other place like this one as it's overlooking the lake with the most gorgeous views and sunsets. I cherish my memories of these times spent in such a wonderful cottage with my family & friends. Love it.
Owner response:You girls bring a smile to our faces. We will welcome you back to Pagosa soon (I hope).

I actually live in Pagosa Springs in a smaller home. I rent A Place on the Lake when I have out of town guests here. It's a great location, has full amenities and is set up well for togetherness or privacy. The view is unbeatable....sunsets on the lake are gorgeous winter or summer. All my friends/family love it and look forward to staying there whenever their in town!!

What a wonderful cottage! I had such a amazing experience. You thought of everything when you decorated the cottage. I especially love the comfy sheets. After a day of skiing powder and taking in the beautiful nature, we enjoyed the in town hot springs then finished in front of the fire cozied up with a glass of vine - divine! In the morning we looked out over the lake while enjoying coffee. It was so relaxing and peaceful - just what I needed. Thank you again - I hope to be back with my family sometime soon!

If you are looking for a cozy winter cottage surrounded by natures beaty, this is the cottage for you! Magnificent views of lake, snow covered hills and a sky filled with buffy clouds. The cottage has all the comforts of a swank hotel - amazing sheets were my favorite. The owner has traveled the world staying at four star hotels and she brings those same ammentities to this cozy cottage. Go for a quiet hike to take it in or hit the hills to enjoy some great powder. After your day enjoy an evening in the nearby hot springs. Come back to the cottage for a comfortable evening in front of the fire. Any way you look at it - you will have a great experience in this charming cottage.
Owner response:Thanks. It was a pleasure hosting your family. Would love to have you back.
