Located in a private, safe, quiet, waterfront community, you’ll enjoy stunning views from our COMMUNITY DOCK on Battery Creek,(when accompanied by owner), watch dolphins when they are riding the tide. You BIRDERS will find many species of southern birds to enjoy spying on here in Beaufort! Spring through Fall view knock out gardens from your special home away from home.
“Banana” is just 3 minutes to the Parris Island Gate and less than 15 minutes to golf courses Sanctuary Golf Course and Parris Island Legands... Where GOLF RATES ARE LOW!! ... 30 minutes to Hilton Head, 40 minutes to Savannah, 90 minutes to Charleston, 12 minutes to Historical Beaufort, South Carolina, where films Forrest Gump, The Great Santini, The Big Chill, Prince of Tides, Rules of Engagement, Full Metal Jacket, G.I. Jane, Something to Talk About, The War, White Squall, Forces of Nature and many more were filmed. You can even charter a fishing boat nearby, or watch the shrimp boats come in with their daily catch!
Hunting Island State Park and fabulous beach, is just 25 minutes away, is a renowned tropical island, with lighthouse, great fishing pier, bathhouses, museum, and nature center. This is Island life in the Carolinas at its best if you are on a budget! This is a restful retreat, centrally located and close to everything- offering the art, cuisine and shopping of nearby.
“Banana” is very sunny, bright, and explodes with Island color. Truly a comfortable southern jewel, it was built just 8 months ago. Everything is new with nice upscale furnishings. You have use of a gas BBQ grill just down the classic, southern-style stairs.
This rental will constantly be in demand. It is very clean, with lots of special touches, and we take care to make sure guests are supplied with things other rentals don't offer. Fluffy towels, French hard-milled soaps and high thread count linens make your stay more enjoyable.
All of our guests will receive a goodie gift basket with snacks to celebrate your safe arrival and as an added service... the fridge may be stocked with milk, orange juice, eggs, breakfast stuff, and of course - coffee/tea, so you don’t have to run to the store as soon as you arrive, however, a major market is just outside our compound. If you do want us to do your shopping, you can settle up with us during your stay.
Got a boat? This is the perfect place to rent - the Port Royal Landing Marina is 5 minutes away and a second boat ramp is 3 minutes down river from us. Sorry, Association rules do not permit boat or jet ski trailers, RVs, or motorcycles in the driveway. If you plan on bringing your trailerable boat, let us know first, so we can try to help find a spot for it!

We live in Beaufort, SC a great destination! So, it was at the request of many of our friends
to create separate guest quarters on our property with a Caribbean flair to accommodate them as well as their friends and family. We know Caribbean style and we know gardens! Add to that our hospitality and we've created another great destination for visitors.

Wondering why we named our guest quarters… Banana? Daria’s family home for many years was on the island of St. Thomas, in the American Virgins. When you live in the Caribbean, you most often name your home for what may be nearby. Our entrance is flanked by banana trees, which grow approximately 8’ per year. Tom is a lifelong horticulturalist and garden designer who is constantly working on our gardens. While you are here remember…life is short, so please take time to smell the roses! Daria is a commercial artist and has had her own advertising company for many years, first in N.Y. then in the Virgin Islands and now here in Beaufort… and works from home.
