What a great week I have had! Although it was a working week, the Banana was my haven at the end of those tiring days. I found myself looking forward to getting back and relaxing in this quiet, comfortable, lovely cottage. And you guys are so amazing. You are the nicest people and your hospitality can’t be beat. Tom, the camellia was a wonderful gift at the front door, not to mention drinks and dinner at Dockside was great! Our "Island" sanctuary

Wish we were back there now, this place was a jewel in a great location. Thanks for the personal touch, the hosts Daria & Tom went beyond the normal call of duty to be sure all of our wants and needs were met. They offered advice about the area, lent us their beach pass, and even gave us spending money, ....well, not quite, but we did get to play with their cats and sample their grape juice. The Banana is unique, in a good way. The decorating scheme of the banana put us in a "Island mind". The ambiance was very romantic too. We also enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, it would certainly be a place to consider moving when we retire from working in the tundra of winter PA. We are looking forward to a return in warmer weather, bringing along our waverunner and kayak. Savannah is only 50 mile ride on the intercoastal waterway, via Hilton Head, an easy run if the water is smooth. The restaurants in the area offered great eating experiences. We had the rest of our family stay at the D--'s Inn down the road- all they did was complain about the noise, low water pressure and little critters. First of all thank you so much for convincing me to stop by on my way back from Tybee Island. "Banana" was EXACTLY what I was looking for. The pristine cottage and neighborhood was so safe and serine & more than I could ask for. I'll never let go of the fond memory of you bringing me fresh lemons, soup and meds when I had a cold and sharing visits and beach walks when I was well again. You played a big part in my desire to return to Beaufort for a whole year and look for a permanent home here.

My wife and I stayed at the "Banana" during the Beaufort Waterfront festival and had the most amazing time. The property is located in a Southern Living community that is just outside the Parris Island main gate. The room is essentially a carriage house, but one that is so cozy that you will easily forget where you are. Daria and Tom are gracious hosts and truly made us feel at home. There is almost a bed and breakfast feel when staying here. Daria and Tom were completely unobtrusive, but incredibly helpful with dining suggestions and even assistance with getting a document printed. I would recommend this property to anyone needing one room and passing through the Beaufort area. The place is perfect for families attending a graduation at Parris Island and would even be perfect for people in town on business. The Banana provides a great alternative to any hotel in the area. The next time we go to Beaufort we will assuredly attempt to stay here again. Rent without worrying, this place is great.

Tom and Daria… where to begin? It took two days of rough travel to get here from western Colorado for our daughter’s Marine Corps Graduation, and of course we were met with open arms and a lovely glass of wine! Immediately we knew everything would be fine. There is no comparison to the well-equipped Banana for the welcome and comforts of home and the luxuries of a five star resort. Tom and Daria don’t stop at great! They gave us the greatest every day. We were given beach chairs and beach towels and a cooler with ice for our beach days. Then their own huge, fresh shrimp for dinner one night! The local paper, with the names of all the graduating Marines, was put at our door and then we baked cupcakes for our Marine's party. They even went out and bought an additional inflatable bed for our daughter to sleep comfortably on graduation night-- so we could all be together! Gene and I will remember and treasure our seven days and nights “living large – “Banana-style”. We definitely “got our island on” dancing to the great reggae music provided. Together with the perfect days at Hunting Island State Park and the romantic seafood dinners… we want to say… thank you so much!

March 30-31, 2009WOW! What a peaceful spot! Banana is a perfect "stateside" Caribbean Getaway --- LOVED IT! It had everything I needed to make my stay most comfortable and then some... Thank you Daria and Tom for your most gracious hospitality--- I WILL BE BACK!

April 6-13, 2009We had nice visit in Beaufort! Banana is so bright and cheery...to the owners we say, "You did a wonderful job bringing the Caribbean to Beaufort, S.C." We took a boat ride down river and saw a Dolphin! My daughter was so excited. Thanks again for the yummy dinners, too! We shall return.

WOW!...like banana (the fruit)is considered the "Perfect Fruit"... we consider BANANA (the studio apartment in Beaufort) the "Perfect Place" to stay for a delightful getaway. We had a wonderful time here and truly felt the Caribbean flare of the place added to the enjoyment of our long weekend vacation. We will be back, soon. Thanks for everything, Daria and Tom! We recently had the pleasure of staying in the charming new creation, Banana. Our hosts were caring and thoughtful with much attention paid to those details which made us feel so welcome in this quiet, restful location. The waterfront community offers beautiful surroundings to stretch your legs after a long car ride. The exquisite garden beckons with a hammock just steps away from the doorway. A brief walk took us to the dock and pier house where we relaxed in more hammocks and watched nature at its best on an absolutely gorgeous river. The owners have truly thought of EVERYTHING for their guests! … we will recommend Banana to our friends and everyone we know heading south to your neck of the woods! We can’t wait to go back again next year.The place is stunning. Bill and Dottie Titus
