Renting this condo for our first vacation w/ our active + adventurous 16-months old was a dream come true. The photos looked promising but it was even more perfect in reality. Location: Beach (swim + snorkel) only steps away, several baby-friendly pools available, pool chairs were arranged so that you never felt like you were 'lying on top of each other', 2 min drive to grocery store to stock your fridge and short drive to historic Lahaina. We highly recommend renting a car because Ka'anapali is a bit far from the rest of Maui. Amenities: Top notch bbq's on premise, small gourmet market w/ coffee bar for first caffeine fix in the morning. Condo: Clean, excellent condition, quipped w/ travel crib, booster chair, lots of beach + water toys, blender (homemade pina coladas, yum!), sophisticated interior decor. Booking: Owner extremely friendly, answered emails within a day, property manager Monty very helpful (arranged for us to get into the condo before regular check-in time when he heard that we had an over-tired toddler). Must do: 1. Twin Falls Waterfall - Drive to Pa'ia, stop for lunch, then take Hana Highway 36 to Twin Falls waterfalls. Stop at mile 2 at fruit stand, then hike a short, easy trail to a slightly hidden water fall. Bring water shoes and a waterproof bag for camera - you'll have to get wet to reach the waterfall. We carried our daughter and left stroller behind. She loved taking a dip in the pool of the waterfall! Best family adventure on Maui! 2. Date Night: Find a babysitter. Have a romantic dinner at Mama's Fish House. Best. Meal. Ever. Aloha!

We just got back from a wonderful 12 day vacation in Maui. This is our 4th time in Maui and we absolutely loved staying at 520 Konea condo. Everything was perfect. The rooms are gorgeous and have all of the possible amenities you will need and more. The beds are super comfortable (and I'm very picky about my mattress), the kitchen is spotless, the bathrooms are roomy and luxurious. We were there with our two young boys, who loved sharing a bed and bathing in the extra large bathtub. Honua Kai is so close to everything. The pools and beach at the resort are great, but we were also an easy drive up to Napili Bay or down to Lahaina downtown or other parts of Kaanapali. After 12 days we still did not want to come back. Loved staying here and will be back next year.

A Week in Paradise

We just spent a week in PARADISE and being so close to all the whales made it more memorable to us. Bob was very helpful with ideas of what to do during this time of year which included Whale Watching, site seeing, restaurants and my favorite a few trips around the golf course while enjoying the view. Having the Beach Chairs, Umbrella, Cooler and Towels, Snorkeling gear in the Condo made our days at the Beach even move enjoyable and our bags lighter. Thank you for all of your efforts to make your vacation home a wonderful place to stay, We have been on the islands numerous times but this was our best trip ever!

Everything about your condo that you described was perfect. It had everything right down to the cooler, beach chairs and boogie boards for the beach. My children just loved the water slide and we liked how we could sit at the pool and just turn around and watch the ocean waves. Dukes is also a great place they have a happy hour and will serve you right at the pool. Bob & Chris we really appreciate taking care of us and will be back next year!

The Honua Kai condos were exceptionally well cared for and in pristine condition. The condo we had was spacious and luxurious for a family of four. Duke's restaurant and the coffee/grocery shop were superb and we frequented both venues for convenience. We highly recommend this resort!

I can't say enough about this resort other than unbelievable! From the moment you pull up to the resort it just takes your breathe away. We love our stay at this condo. I was impressed with Monty the property manager who met us and took us up to the condo. The condo was equipped with everything we needed and more. Just wanted to say this resort is beautiful and no wonder everyone is wanting to stay there. My wife loved the condo it had everything she needed. I am a golfer and loved that 2 of the best courses were within a few miles away. Plus the owner provided a place where I could rent my clubs and they delivered them right to the resort. My kids couldn't of had more fun going down the water slide and playing on the sandy beach. I can't wait to book our next vacation in Maui and will definitely stay in Bob's condo.

Had a great time in Maui. The condo was everything and more you could want for a holiday. Everything you need was supplied...boogie boards, beach towels, etc. So all you need to bring are your clothes. Resort is close to grocery store as well as any other amenities you might need. Great view of the mountain...treated to a rainbow at least once a day! The beach was great and you can walk a long way on the boardwalk. I would highly recommend this condo for your stay! Owners are very accommodating!

Our family fully enjoyed this property. It was spacious, clean, and the check in process was smooth and uncomplicated. Chris & Bob had it well stocked with basics; toilet tissue, paper towel, dish soap, laundry detergent and basic spices. We loved having all of the beach accessories and made good use of the boogie boards. The resort itself was beautiful and well maintained. There was always a BBQ available. There are lots of sharp coral pieces in the shallow water in front of the resort, and water shoes would be a good idea. Chris & Bob were also very prompt in returning our damage deposit. We are a family of five, and often opt to rent properties as most hotel rooms will not accomodate 5. Having said that, I would not hesitate to return to this property as well as recommend it to others. Thank you for the wonderful time in Maui Chris & Bob.

Kaanapli Condo

We spent a wonderful holiday on the beaches of Maui. Honua Kai is a beautiful new property with all the amenities of a resort but the comfort, convenience and space of a condo. The unit was perfect for four of us, it was like new, tastefully decorated and had a closet filled with all the beach toys you could want. The bedrooms and bathrooms were quite spacious and we never felt cramped.This unit had a nice view of the green hills behind us and the ocean and beach was only a few footsteps away. The photos of the site paled in comparison to how nice the actual unit was. The condo was located right on Kaanapli beach close to lots of restaurants and activities, but quiet and low key if you wanted it.The only sad part was having to leave.

Great stay at 520 Konea!

We had a great visit in Maui staying in 520 Konea. All descriptions on the site were accurate and we were wowed at the beauty of the Honua Kai property. And the management team was so professional and easy to work with the entire time. We loved having a full kitchen so we could save money on the meals (we were traveling with 3 adults and 3 kids under the age of 10.) The beds were great. The pull out was OK for the kids. Everything we needed was provided, including the extra beach toys (the kids loved that!) We've stayed at the Sheraton in the past and we would never be able to score a chair by the pool. I don't know if we just came at a slow time (October), but we were always able to grab a couple chairs when we wanted them by the pool. Which was great because our kids couldn't get enough of the swimming. And when we did pull ourselves away from the resort, we took in snorkerling, first time SUP lessons, scenic drives and hikes, beaches, a hula show and more! Our days were filled and we can't wait to go back!! Mahalo!

Beautiful Property

We found this condo to be elegantly designed and at the same time comfortable for our group of four. We loved seeing the sunrise, moonrise, and rainbows over the mountains to the east from windows and lanai of the unit. Every evening we walked down to the beach below to toast the amazing variety of sunsets. The development is a beautiful new property, with a series of natural-looking swimming pools that manage to have different areas appealing to adults and kids alike. We traveled without children, but I could have easily imagined my 7 year old happy there, playing on the slide or in the lazy river-style pool, which is so tastefully designed that you almost can't tell that is its purpose! On our own, we relaxed by a quiet upper pool, which children might find "boring." In front of the hotel is a long sandy beach, great for peaceful walks to Black Rock, or boogie-boarding and snorkeling for the more active types. We found the location great for exploring many different beautiful beaches of western Maui, as well as convenient to Lahaina., I recommend driving the perimeter of western Maui, even braving the one-lane road, to see some less-appreciated places on the island. One day we also took an excursion to upcountry to the lavender farm and the goat farm (to sample goat cheeses), about a 45 minute drive from the condo, with beautiful views below. Finally, if I were to make any suggestion to the owners, it would be to supply the kitchen with a garlic press or a better chopping knife. I like to cook, and although the kitchen was well-stocked in general, I missed my gadget-comforts.

Beautiful complex with multiple pools (and a waterslide for the kids) and a beach. Spacious 2 bedroom unit with everything you need. Comfortable, large lanai and 2 full bathrooms. Close to Restaurants and shopping. Laid back pace at this well appointed complex. Terrific value. We've stayed here the last two years. Owners are great to deal with!

Folks , you can't get any better than this!! Blue skies, blue water and sunshine are the rule here and the accommodations are 5 star in my opinion! The resort is new and had 3 beautiful pools. We couldn't keep our kids off the water slide. The owners were wonderful to work with and the unit was equipped with a lot of extra's like boogie boards, cooler, beach chairs & umbrella. My wife especially liked that they even had a pack & play for our baby. The unit has two bedrooms with king beds but the owners were nice to split the one king into two twins for our kids. The condo was perfect for our stay there! We wanted to explore the island while still having a comfy and resort like place to come back to and hang out. I love the two bed two bath...perfect for two couples to have their own privacy. The kitchen was perfect as well and we cooked quite a bit there. The washer/dryer was a nice feature for all the towels and I washed all my clothes before we went home so that way it was less laundry when we got home. The beach in front of the resort was really nice to lay out on and it was very clear. There is a little bit of reef that you can cut yourself on but as long as you wear flippers while snorkeling you are fine. My favorite place to snorkel was Napili bay (about 10 min drive) because they had soo many sea turtles! I felt like I was in Finding Nemo! I also recommend going to Honolua Bay not for the actual snorkeling (its ok too) but for the scenery to get there. It's its own little gorgeous rainforest much like the road to hana. I cant wait to go back and stay longer!

This condo that Bob has was absolutely amazing! This was the second time we have been to Maui and by far our best vacation. The location of the resort is perfect. There are 2 world class golf courses very close to the resort. The condo had beautiful furnishings and everything you could want and need.

This was our second time staying at Chris and Bob's wonderful condo. We had such an awesome experience last year; we could not wait to return! This trip lived up to all of our expectations and more. I can not recommend this resort more highly. It has everything one could ask for: beautiful grounds, amazing views, family friendly pools, beaches, fitness center, BBQ area and of course the sunsets while dining at Dukes are priceless. I can't say enough about the many unique pools at Honua Kai. Our kids spent hours and hours playing on the water slide and jumping from pool to pool. We enjoyed taking walks along the oceaview boardwalk to Whaler Village for shopping or frozen yogurt treats. The condo is amazingly nice with gorgeous panoramic views of the mountains. We enjoyed looking for the daily rainbow that filled the sky each evening. The owner's have stocked the condo with "extras" like boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs, cooler etc. It was nice not having to rent these items. The condo is very spaceous easily accomodating our family of 5. The beds were super comfy and the full kitchen was so nice for cooking meals or snacks when we grew tired of restaurants. We have been visting Maui for years and Honua Kai is truly the best place to stay on the island. Chris and Bob made the experience really wonderful...we'll be back!

My family and I enjoyed one week at this condo and are already counting down the days until our visit next summer. The condo is centrally located to everything on Maui and there is a Dukes on the property. After a long flight, getting the rental car and a stop at the store it was nice to relax in the condo and walk down to dinner. The property is well maintained and the listing photos reflect exactly what the unit and grounds look like. They do have a property manager that is only 5 mins away, if you should need assistance. I would recommend this condo to all my friends and family!! The pool area was great and very family friendly. We all loved the slide!!

AFFORDABLE WELL MANAGED VACATION IN PARADISE

People who have vacationed in Maui, especially Kaanapali, know what a great place it is but the folks at Maui Blue properties know how to manage. Everything from our reservation to arrival, stay and departure was handled competently and comfortably. They were even there to help when our time share management company screwed up and lost our resort reservation for another location the previous week. The unit where we stayed was huge and well equipped. The lanai was more like a veranda and could have accommodated a crowd. Four people were in the unit and we never felt like we were getting in each others' way. The location was prime for everything from the beach to proximity to great restaurants like Roy's and Sansei just up the road in Kapalui. Even a supermarket with EVERYTHING was in walking distance.

Wonderful stay - perfect for our small family

We sometimes struggle finding the right place to stay for our family. We like luxury accommodations, but often find that get two bedroom hotel rooms for our family of three too steep at the nicer resorts. Honua Kai was exactly what we were looking for. The accommodations are five star all the way, yet being a condo, the nightly rate was quite reasonable. The unit is nicely situated on the 5th floor. The units are quite quiet. I don't think we heard a sole while we were inside the unit the entire 8 nights there. The two bedrooms are spacious with large beds and high quality linens. The master bathroom is quite large and well detailed. The kitchen and dining area were perfect for having breakfast and lunch in the unit to take a break from the pool/beach and having to eat out every meal. You could even prepare dinner with the well stocked kitchen if you are so inclined. One of the great conveniences is there is a supermarket about 150 yards across the road. There are also three TV's in the unit, not that you will be watching a lot of TV while in Maui. The staff at Honua Kai was very friendly and helpful. We used the concierge only once, but they were helpful and it was good to know that help was there if we needed it. The pools and grounds were spectacular. Our daughter must have gone down the water slide over a 100 times during our stay and got to meet some friends while sliding. Always nice when you have one child to know that they find entertainment with contemporaries. The unit is well equipped if you intend to head to the pool or beach. If you want something more, either the Aina Market of the little poolside store has all the essentials and then some. One other nice to have was Duke's restaurant on site. Perfect for the breakfast/lunch/dinner when you are beat and don't feel like journeying off the resort. The location is ideal. The sun sets right off the beach between Lanai and Molikai. The snorkeling off the beach is quite good, so I am told by my wife (tons of fish and sea turtles). I don't know what more to say other than our vacation was perfect. Chris and Bob were very helpful in getting everything lined up and Monty was great in getting us acclimated once we arrived at the resort. if you are a family looking for a great location for your next vacation, this is it!

What a wonderful way to spend our first vacation in Maui. The Honua Kai was a extremely comfortable resort with exceptional professional staff. I had rented another condo at a different location that ended up being a complete nightmare. I contacted Bob Westerfield who was our LIFESAVER! He helped me get a unit at the last minute so we could enjoy the rest of our vacation in Maui. The resort is as nice as the photos show and the location was perfect. This is the resort to stay at if you are looking for a nice, clean resort with friendly staff. Thank you again Bob, I have already told numerous friends about how great this resort is. We can't wait to go back!

Great Experience at Honua Kai

This villa worked out very well for our family of four. The villa is almost brand new with nice furnishings and a full kitchen. The beds were very comfy and we had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy ourselves. Having a full washer/dryer was also very nice...you can bring less clothes that way! The grounds are very pretty and there were always plenty of chairs. There were also several supplies that came in handy such as beach chairs (with builtin cooler) and a beach umbrella.

Fantastic Maui Vacation!

Usually when I book accommodations in Hawaii, I have to choose between the convenience of a condo or the amenities of a resort. However, this rental unit provides the space of a condo-style suite with full kitchen and the amenities of a resort such as an on-site restaurant, a fitness room, a concierge service, a marketplace with coffee bar, and a fabulous pool with a water slide and children's play area. The resort is located on the beach, so you really don't have to drive anywhere to play in the surf or take a sunset stroll in the sand. If you are interested in historical sites, whale watching/ snorkeling trips, shopping or nightlife, Lahaina is only a short drive away. The unit itself is a well-appointed and spacious condo, more beautiful than the internet photos portray. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room provide abundant lighting and gorgeous views of the West Maui mountains, especially at sunrise. The condo is large with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a central kitchen/dining/living room area. It is clean and new with luxurious touches such as granite counter tops and and Bosch appliances. I really appreciated the extra amenities such as the coolers, the beach chairs, the beach towels, and the beach umbrella--which you don't always find at other condos. And the owner is very pleasant to work with, helpful and accommodating. We had a memorable vacation in Maui, and we hope to return someday soon.

Awesome time at a beautiful kid friendly resort

Well maintained newer complex with numerous pools and an excellent staff. We stayed for 7 days in March with two kids under 2 1/2 and loved it!!! The kids pool(s) are structured for all ages with water falls and slides and even a little beach. The ocean is foot steps away with a beautiful and uncrowded beach with spectacular Whale watching and snorkelling. Dukes restaurant and a gourmet shop are located on the ground and a great fish market is a short walk away as well as the local grocery store. Of course if you are lucky enough to stay in one of Bob's places you get all of this and the comfort of knowing that the owner cares about you and your stay and is there to make sure your time is special.

Marvelous Maui Vacation

Maui is Marvelous! From the condo to relaxing on the beach to driving the Road to Hana it doesn't compare to any other vacation destination! Our trip was filled with golf at Kanapali Royal and Kanapali Kai; snorkeling at Kapalua; swimming in the ocean; a sunset cruise; a trip along the road to Hana; and simply lying poolside soaking up the rays. It's hard to pick a favorite! The road to Hana began with a smoothie from the Hana Bay Picnic Company in Paia, mmm delicious! We then explored many of the spots mentioned along the Hana Audio Tour cd (PS we left the cd in the condo for you to enjoy too!). Our favorite part of the road was the many waterfalls which were not only breathtaking but enjoyable to swim in too! We also enjoyed the sunset cruise aboard Teralani 2 where we were within 50 feet of many whales!! February is a great time for whale watching, I highly recommend going during January-April as the whales are one thing you can't see in Maui any other time of the year. Great eats include: Duke's right on the property; Gazebo Restaraunt for mac nut pancakes with pineapple; Cheeseburger in Paradise; Maui Brewing Company; and grilling at Honua Kai as we watched the sunset over the ocean. And our trip wouldn't be complete without mentioning our wonderful accommodations. this unit had everything! We had a cooler, boogie boards, beach chairs, and pack 'n' play available during our stay which saved us lots of additional expenses once we were there! And the view off of the lanai is definately worth mentioning. The lush mountains along with an occasional rainbow were beautiful! We were very impressed with the condo and property at Honua Kai. Everything was just as it is in the pictures and website. The condo is very clean and well kept. This was my 1st experience renting by owner and this is the way to go. The pool was great for the kids because it is so large and had so many activities, they never got bored. The actual property is very large and everything from the hallways to the plants and trees outside are kept nice and clean. Believe it or not, although it is quite a large property it is very quiet. We never heard a soul while we were in our condo, it was quiet during all hours. We did get one unexpected treat...everynight around 5:30 pm we would see a rainbow right off the lanai into the mountains. Several evenings we used the grills on the property to cook dinner and they were always clean and accessible. I really enjoyed working with Bob and Chris because they were very quick to answer any questions I had . Everything on our vacation was really great. At the end of our vacation when we were supposed to leave we found out our flights had be cancelled because of bad weather at home. Our time was up in the condo and I contacted Chris and Bob at the very last minute and they were very accomodating and let us stay 2 more nights. We will definitely be back to this unit in the very near future. Mahalo

Condo at Honua Kai

Our family very much enjoyed our stay at Honua Kai in Jan. 2011. The owners and property manager were excellent to communicate with. They responded to any queries we had in a timely manner. The condo is well stocked and well maintained. We especially appreciated the extras that are usually not found in a rental, particularly the use of beach items which we could not have brought with us on the flight. The condo and resort facilities are just as described on the website. Our family appreciated the variety of pools and hottubs, use of the bbqs, and whale-watching from the resort. One word of caution: you need thick soled waterproof footwear in the ocean. Coral is very sharp. Recommendations: We enjoyed on-site restaurant. Evening reservations are recommended. We also enjoyed lunch on the beach at Whaler's Village. Whaler's Village was enjoyable to go through. Grocery shopping at the supermarket across the highway from resort was more expensive than we are used to, but not bad for a vacation spot. It is about a 5-10 minute walk from Honua Kai - very convenient. We definitely would recommend this condo to our friends and/or relatives.

Visited Honua Kai for the first time this Christmas ('10). Enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. Excellent location and kid friendly. Looking at going again for spring break now that we know how nice it is. There were 10 in our group and everyone had a great time. Highly recommend this resort. Lots of families - beach is amazing - but not calm in Dec. We still took our 4 and 5 yr. olds out and they had a blast.

MAUI VACATION

- I love Maui and enjoyed staying at this condo ! It is beautifully decorated . The condo had plenty of room for family or friends with two bedrooms to spread out in. You'll find the view from the balcony is simply breathtaking, particularly when the sun is going down. You can catch any number of sea excursions – snorkeling, fishing, whale watching, dinner cruises or pretty much anything to do with the sea. There’s also an aquarium to visit and several restaurants and bars, all within walking distance. If you can’t find solitude on that beach you didn’t look very hard because much of it is unvisited. I took a long walk along the beach and once I got past a couple of hotels and condo complexes I had the beach almost completely to myself. The area is quiet and peaceful, a great place to get away and unwind. But it’s also centrally located so it’s very close to all of the attractions you’d want to see on Maui. We drove up the volcano and along the Road to Hana and also to a walk to the harbor for a snorkeling trip to Molokini - a small crater and marine reserve just off the coast. One night we walked just a few doors down and ate at the highly rated Waterfront Restaurant. It was all so close! The owner was gracious and helpful, providing links and phone numbers for local restaurants and tours after asking me what I might like to do and even suggested a couple I hadn’t thought of. I had a fabulous time in Maui, especially in this wonderful condo!

Best Vacation Ever!

We travel a lot. And we stayed at Bob's property for 3 weeks. We were with extended family and so when I say I enjoyed myself and we all really liked the unit and facility, it is significant. The condo is beautiful and well stocked, and the resort is gorgeous. It has the best of both worlds, so that you can leisurely make breakfast then wander down with all the toys and floaties and a cooler full of snacks to the pools. Dukes is right there if you want bar/restaurant service and it's so convenient to meet everyone for dinner at sunset. We barbequed too - it's easy and pleasant. There is a large grocery store across the street within walking distance. But, I'd strongly suggest renting a car ahead of time online because it's fun to go in to Lahaina and down to Whaler's Village for some night life, shopping, or to change up your dining options. There is also a little cash bar right across from the grocery store open late for those of you who want some fun past 10pm but don't want to go far. Cheerio!

The unit we rented from Maui Blue Properties is one of the best condo's I have ever stayed in. The attention to detail was amazing. Three pools that were never over crowded and Dukes on the property was amazing. The condo was furnished with everything we needed. From boogie boards, beach chairs and all the toys our kids needed. We will definitely be back next year. Bob and his staff were very helpful. Thank you, for a wonderful stay.

This unit is great! We stayed for a week and its a perfect size for 2 bedrooms equipped with all the necessities. Honua Kai overall is beautiful and relaxing with great ammenities (store, pools, beach access, Dukes on-site). The owners were able to furnish a request we had for our daughter and are always reachable during the booking process and after. Enjoy Maui and Honua Kai!

A perfect location, you can snorkel right in front of the complex. We enjoyed every minute we were there and seen some beautiful sunsets. The condo was new and came with everything we needed. There is a beach walk right in front of the complex which leads all the way down to Black Rock. Bob with Maui Blue Properties was very helpful with all the details and very professional. Our stay at Honua Kai was wonderful! The unit was pretty, clean, and had the perfect amount of space. The property is new, and the grounds are well-maintained. The beach is a great place to snorkel and swim, and the pools are beautiful! We really enjoyed walking on the beach walk all the way to black rock in the morning. At night, we enjoyed watching the stars on the beach :) Maui is a beautiful island and there is so much to see! We love Lahaina, Whaler's Village, Hana, Haleakala, and the Ulupalakua winery. We just returned from an AMAZING week on Maui and Honua Kai. This resort is absolutely breath-taking inside and out! We enjoyed relaxing by the beautifully landscaped pools and snorkeling in front of our complex. Duke's restraunt was excellent. The view and food were fabulous. The concierge service at Honua Kai was very helpful and booked several activities for us. Our condo was incredible and all of the extras provided truly made it feel like home. Chris and Bob were a delight to work with and made sure our Maui experience was one that would bring us back. We look forward to staying here again on our next vacation to Maui!

Our stay at the Honua Kai was a wonderful experience. The condo was clean, spacious, and a "home away from home". The pictures just didn't do the place justice. It was even better than we expected. John, the property manager, was a delight and extremely helpful. The pools/poolside were wonderful for both parents and children alike. We spent numerous evenings at the beach making sand castles waiting for the most amazing sunsets. We even BBQ'd dinner twice at the grills near the pool. It is close to Kaanapali Beach and Lahaina and there is a convenient grocery store across the street if a need arises. The grounds are beautiful and everyone we encountered was more than friendly. The owners are very helpful and friendly and answered our emails promptly. We are already trying to figure out when we can go again!!!

My family and I just returned from the most magical week in Maui. We were blown away by our accommodations and are already discussing when we might be able to return. It was wonderful to work with Chris and Bob, and such a delight to stay at their condo. My mom especially appreciated all of the thoughtful touches - beach towels, baskets for toiletries, beach bag, an ipod docking station. The Honua Kai property felt very private and relaxed and yet we were only minutes from Lahaina. We went running each morning on the beach path, drank coffee on the lanai, swam and snorkeled, laid by the pool, enjoyed happy hour at Duke's and grilled at night. Thanks so much, Chris and Bob, for making our family vacation so special!

This was our first trip to Maui, so I spent weeks looking for the right place at the right price. We were not disapointed! Everything about the property was accurate and beautiful. We had the best time snorkeling with the turtles, sailing on the former American cup contender from Lahaina, swimming in the waterfalls on the road to Hana, and even getting to see lots of whales.(even though it was close to the end of their season there) We also thoroughly enjoyed relaxing by the pool, and we hope to definately come back and stay here again. We loved Lahaina and many of the restaurants, but we enjoyed Duke's about as good as anywhere else we ate, and the atmosphere there was the best for breakfast or dinner. We really cannot express what a great time we had and thank you so much for the wonderful accommodations. Your property manager, John is great to work with and so were you.

Our family just returned from the most fabulous vacation ever on Maui. We are frequent visitors of this island and Honua Kai is clearly the BEST place to stay. I can not recommend more highly Chris and Bob's beautiful condo. It was everything and more as promised. The condo is so wonderful, the grounds were gorgeous, and the pools were fantastic. We loved eating at Dukes, taking long walks on the beach boardwalk or just relaxing on the beachfront sand. The owners were great to work with and we really appreciated all the "extras" they provided. This was truly a memorable trip and we will be back next year!

Second guests at 520 Honua Kai. Absolutely loved it! Despite some unseasonably windy weather, our trip was fabulous. The accomodations were everything and more than we could have hoped for. In addition the little extras like the cooler, beach toys and boogies boards were greatly appreciated. The beach out front is amazing - can walk for ages enjoying the waves. Snorkeling just South of the condo was amazing! The pools were perfect! How often can you soak in an infinity pool and watch whales breach in their natual environment. Thanks so much Bob and Chris!

Honua Kai is the fabulous resort in west Maui. It is so new and nice, and the location is great! The pools are so fun for the kiddos. This condo is also so nice. The rooms are exceptionally well furnished ... top of the line appliances in the kitchen complete with washer and dryer. The owner is so thoughtful to leave beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels, cooler, zippy cups!, boogie boards, sand toys, and more things that a hotel would not offer. If we go back to Maui, this is the place we will stay :)
