This large vacation home is built on four levels ensuring privacy while easily accommodating two families. It has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Drive just 2 minutes to the north Oswald West State Park and stroll ½ mile to the Punchbowl and watch the sun set over the Pacific while searching for whales and sea lions in the surf below. Venture further into Oswald West State Park and surf or boogie board at short sands beach. Plan to stay at Short Sands through low tide and explore the beautiful tide pools on both the north and south ends of the cove.
Our home is just minutes from the quaint coastal town of Manzanita. You can stock up on groceries, shop, rent a video, or grab a bite in town. Wander for hours along the 7 mile stretch of beach in Manzanita. Stop at the city park and let the kids play on the playground while you play volleyball or tennis. Hone your golf skills at the Manzanita Golf Club or Driving Range. Rent a bike and head to south of town to explore Nehalem Bay State Park. Nehalem Bay State Park offers horseback riding, a boat launch, and trails to both the bay and ocean. Drop a crab ring or toss a fishing line into the bay. Search for eagles, herons, seals, and otters who make Nehalem Bay their home.
Drive 10-15 miles north on scenic highway 101 and visit beautiful Arcadia Beach State Park, Historic Hug Point and Ecola State Park, and the infamous Haystack Rock. Drive 10 – 15 minutes to town to explore the quaint villages of Nehalem and Wheeler to shop for antiquities, enjoy some delicious seafood, or rent a boat to catch your own.
*There is no beach or town access from our home by trail or neighborhood streets. You have to return to highway 101. We are 1.5 miles north of town and 1.5 miles south of Oswald West State park beach access parking.

Thank you for a real good time! Our family of five has visited here with another family of four many times and love it. I have to rave a bit about it...It is such a big home with four floors of fun! The warm wood of this house is so welcoming and it's everywhere making it feel so cozy. Your home feels so solid and I love that its quiet when I want to sneak away for some deep vacation sleep. I love the big and beautiful pool table on the bottom floor and I think it is actually super true. Oh yeah, I love all the windows for nice daytime light so we find it is just fine when its sunny out and were not quite ready for the beach or it's raining cats and dogs and we want to relax and take it slow. When were out on the deck it feels like a massive treehouse and I love that feeling. We also love being able to drive north for a few minutes and get to Short Sands Beach at Oswald West State Park for surfing, beachcombing, tidepooling, boogieboarding and general enjoyment of one of the most beautiful beaches on the Oregon Coast. Then we drive a few minutes south and drop into Manzanita for a great beach town experience and for some morning espresso (ok and a little browsing in the shops)! So thank you for an excellent rental home. I highly recommend this place for couples, families, or some friends just getting together for the fun of it!

We come to Manzanita often for the ocean beach and a weekend of reading and seafood. This house felt less like a vacation rental and more like dropping in on the home of a friend; children's toys in the family room, a half full refrigerator and an oven that hasn't been cleaned in years. An avid reader, it was difficult with overhead lighting in every room, there are no lamps and some of the track lights were out. Cooking facilities weren't great; the microwave is three floors down and we had to get the disposal running. The weather was sunny so we enjoyed the deck. The home is up near the highway, in a stand of fir trees so the view is of the ocean's horizon and is filtered through the trees.
