This charming waterfront home is located on a three acre parcel overlooking the beautiful Westcott Bay. Enjoy kayaking, clamming, crabbing, fishing, biking and frequent visits from local resident deer, seals, fox and soaring eagles.
This home has the master bedroom on the main floor with a king bed and private bath. The outdoor hot tub is just steps outside the door. Upstairs there are two additional bedrooms. One room has a king bed the other has a queen bed with a ladder up to a small sleeping loft containing a single Futon bed. THe upstairs bathroom has a large shower, and sink with a pocket door and toilet and second sink in the other half. There is an open loft area with a fireplace and TV upstairs.
Entertain in the large open kitchen with stainless steel appliances and stone soapstone countertops adjacent to the great room soaked with sunlight from the 25-foot high ceiling and walls of windows and sliding glass doors that overlook the bay.
Outdoors enjoy the hot tub, a large stamped concrete patio with furniture, natural gardens and carved out stone steps to the clamming beach below. A favorite hang out for guests and friends is the firepit for evening stargazing and story telling and making S'mores.

What an amazing place to take a vacation! We got to enjoy this wonderful waterfront Roche Harbor house the weekend of our engagement and it was wonderful. We biked on the island from the ferry and were within walking distance of all the essentials in Roche Harbor. Beautiful views, great hot tub, fire pit, deck, and lots of games to play. I would recommend this vacation home to families for a fun filled weekend or to couples for a romantic retreat. Thanks, and we can't wait to enjoy this place again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This San Juan house is a beauty, what I deem as pure heaven. It offers everything for the soul; nature, coziness, spectacular views, gorgeous house, yet comfortable! The wildlife is incredible. The accessibility to the sweet little town of Roche, as well as the main town is easy! There is much to do; hike, relax, kayak, nature walks, shop and dine in or out! This house makes you want to stop and smell the flowers. I would recommend this little slice of heaven to anyone!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The accomodations and amenities exceeded our expectations, everything is provided in the house for your comfort and ease. The location and the design so peaceful and serene. There is so much space but still so cozy and comfy. There are many areas to explore on the Island, but still we didn't want to leave the relaxing comfort of the patio overlooking the bay and the calmness and privacy there. I have enjoyed this property in the summer and winter, one of my favorite places, and the best place for getting away from the hustle and noise of the city.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This place is great. My Wife and I could not beleive how well accomodated things were. Every amentity that you would expect in your own home and more are provided. We loved being able to walk to Roche Harbor and still have the privacy of the home to escape to. The view overlooking the bay is incredible. Lots of opportunity to watch eagles, seals and deer. The fire pit was also a great addition. I would recomend this home to anyone looking for a great retreat to the San Juans.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This is a great vacation home. Aside from the great location, beautiful setting and outstanding accomodations, we were so impressed with all the amenities this home offers. Most vacation homes don't have these kinds of furnishings. What a real treat.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: My husband and I purchased the land over 15 years ago and camped with our children, family and friends for several years till we built the home. Many of the timbers we re-milled and used were from a building in Seattle that we salvaged them from and are over 100 years old! THis is a very special place for our family that holds many years of memories and we hope you will create some of your own while you are there.
Why the Owner Chose Roche Harbor:
We have always been boaters. I grew up on the east-coast, on the salt water. We fell in love with Roche Harbor Resort and Marina the first time we went there 30 years ago!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
In the "off season" we like to go up and relax, do jigsaw puzzles and take walks in almost any kind of weather. One of my favorite activities in the spring, summer and fall, is to go out on the small point at the tip of the property in the early morning and sit quietly to watch the clams squirting and the seals and otters feeding. We enjoy seeing the deer on the property, the fox's and eagles over head. The 3 mile loop is a picturesque walk around to Roche Harbor and back. For many years we have enjoyed swimming in the quarry nearby and probably one of the most treasured events has been all of the Whale watching that we have been fortunate to do, just 15 minutes out of our bay into the straight.
