You have it all here!! Private sandy beach on the largest of the Great Lakes - Lake Superior. Beautiful fresh clean water to kayak, canoe, and water-ski. Also enjoy fishing on Lake Superior! Wake up to beautiful sunrises... with your favorite beverage and birds singing. Behind the cottage is a natural wildlife preserve where you will see Great Blue Herons, Bald Eagles, and Sand Hill Cranes gathering their daily food! This cottage is super clean and right on Lake Superior sandy beach!
A quiet and extremely clean place to relax and only 10 minutes from Lake Linden, 30 minutes from Copper Harbor (Fort Wilkins), Houghton, and Calumet 25(mining town history and almost the capitol of Michigan in the 1800's). Enjoy the hiking and biking along the Keweenaw Peninsula or take a couple of days and go to Isle Royale National Park. The boats leave from Houghton and Copper Harbor (only 35 minutes away from your cottage).
Winter skiing (Mount Bohemia, largest vertical drop in the USA), LacLaBelle, and Mount Ripley in Houghton. Great cross country skiing at Swedetown trails and Copper Harbor, also. Snowmobile the Keweenaw!
$250 is due to hold rental. The remainder of payment is required a week prior to arrival (if writing a check) or you can pay cash when you arrive. Payment will be returned if cancellation is given 60 days prior to reserved date, or if property gets rented in the interum. Deposit of $350 required in separate check (will not be cashed, it is held) and returned 3 days after end of rental date.

- Great blue herons, sand hill cranes, bald eagles. This is a bird watchers paradise! The natural wildlife reserve, behind the cottage is great for kayaking and birdwatching. Kayaks are provided. Lake Superior sandy shore is in the front of the cottage, just a few yards from the cottage. This is a gradual beach, so it's great for children to play. For as far as you can see, all you see is water, beautiful water!! This is a very healing and peaceful place! The beach is very private and peaceful! Sunrises are beautiful and moon rises over the water are spectacular!!

We spent a week last summer (2009) in this rental. The weather was cool and rainy most of the time but it didn’t dampen our enthusiasm for this location. We had sandy Lake Superior beach at our front door and a lovely natural watershed at our back. We saw Sand Hill cranes, Bald eagles and all sorts of wildlife! The cottage was VERY clean, the beds super comfortable, the decorating cozy and we even had a piano to pluck away at! Jan, the owner, was friendly and attentive while being discrete. I would recommend this place to family and friends. As a matter of fact, my brother recommended it to me! Thanks Bro! And thanks Jan!

A wonderful week! The Cottage is absolutely perfect. We felt completely at home and the kids loved being so close to the beach! The perfect break away from the hub-bub of daily life! We would definitely love to come back!
