St. John is believed by many to be the most beautiful of the U.S. Virgin islands, if not the most beautiful island in all of the Caribbean. The vacation home of their dreams was built on a hill above the turquoise waters of Rendezvous Bay, looking south, with scenic views that stretch from the east end of St. John to St. Croix.

- All of the villa's living space is on the main level of the pavilion. The Great Room, with two seating areas, provides a 55' HDTV, DVD, movies, games & game table. Adjacent, the gourmet kitchen leaves nothing to be desired, even by the most discerning of gourmet cooks. Well stocked with a large variety of glassware, stemware, dinnerware & cookware, the kitchen is equipped to feed the masses with its top of the line stainless steel appliances, including a 3-door refrigerator/freezer, standard oven, microwave/convection oven and two dishwashers. Sliding glass pocket doors lead from the indoor kitchen to its outdoor kitchen providing easy service to the alfresco dining room & includes a professional gas grill, 2nd oven, icemaker & generous countertop space. The dining room joins the covered outdoor living room resulting in one expansive outdoor living space with awesome ocean views. With an abundance of outdoor seating and lounging furniture this space is the true heart of the villa!

Once through the security gates of Mare Blu and into the villa's main pavilion, guests are not only convinced that they have escaped civilization, but are also certain they have found paradise! From a lounge chair on the veranda at Mare Blu, one may feel as if they are completely secluded, but in fact, they are only a short drive from the best of everything the island of St. John has to offer. If we were told we could use only one word to describe our experience at Mare Blu, it would be "perfect"! The owners have successfully incorporated the beauty, colors, and cheerfulness of the Carribean in every room of this incredibly thought-out house. Comfort and uniqueness abound in the decor-each room is amazingly private, yet ther are incredible open and inviting areas for gatherings, all with the most incredible views. Every detail has been provided for, and once you've done a little grocery shopping, you literally do not ever have to leave the house! The location is a huge plus-most everything is within easy driving distance. Mare Blu is an ideal setting for that special event or occasion, and we highly recommend it for guaranteed memories of a lifetime! Mary Ann and Bryan-Tega Cay, SC

Friends and I spent my 40th Birthday week celebration at Mare Blu and it was more than we ever expected!! St. John is my favorite Caribbean spot and this house tops all other stays in the past (villas, Caneel Bay, locations on St. Thomas) It was a shame that we didn't have more people (we had 6) because we wanted to share the experience with the rest of our friends! The house is amazing with every amenity (we couldn't think of anything we were missing, except maybe a firepit - haha, danger!). A fabulous view, convenient to town. We fell in love with Mare Blu and will definitely be back!! No question. Teri, the owner was great to work with. I miss it so much - I'm ready for St. John again!

St. John has been our favorite vacation spot for many years, but this was our first home rental. It was beyond our expectations! We highly recommend Mare Blu - every detail thought of for your maximum comfort, and an exceptional view from every room. Our family did not want to leave & can't wait to get back. You will be well taken care of by the property managers/staff and the owners are truly interested in guests enjoying their home. An easy drive to any place you might want to go, but you won't want to leave often or for very long! This is a very special gathering spot for a family or a group of friends. It is a place to make wonderful memories!

My husband and I stayed at Mare Blu with friends in Jan., 2011. Absolutely unbelievable! Brand new and immaculate. Luxury in every creative, contemporary detail from bedding to the kitchen dishes and accessories to the candles. I felt like I had overindulged on a shopping spree to West Elm and Williams Sonoma! Spectacular views of Rendezvous Bay from every room, including the bathrooms with their indoor and outdoor showers! Great location with Cruz Bay 10 min. down the hill and the National Park the same distance up the hill. Expensive, but for a six bedroom estate with so much class, it is worth every penny. Also, the owners offer a fair deal of basing the rate on the number of bedrooms rented. We sat in the no chlorine infinity pool watching a gorgeous sunset on one side of the pool and the NFL playoffs on the other. Since the Saints were losing, it helped that we could grab a beer out of the refrigerated drawer under the TV four steps from the pool. See what I mean about thoughtful details?!!

I'm just looking over the photo album of my daughter's wedding, last August, and Mare Blu was the absolute hilghlight of our week. We hosted 25 people every evening for a party where everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We were able to do our own cooking, the views are breathtaking, and most of the guests just wanted to hang around the pool. The Westin Hotel took care of the wedding ceremony and reception but everything else was at Mare Blu. It would be my first choice for vacation or any kind of celebration at anytime of the year. We remain so grateful to the owners of the house for their generosity - it was even more spectacular than we imagined and one of the highlights of our entire lives! Since 6 couples chipped in, the cost was much less than the local hotels and we didn't have to eat out every night. My family will definitely go back to St. John, specifically for Mare Blu.

We stayed at Mare Blu with several friends and do not think it could have more perfect. The villa is a short distance to town where we found great places to eat and shop. The ocean views are spectacular from all the rooms and the outside living area. The kitchen is very special with every convenience imaginable. There are many special decorative details throughout the complex that are tastefully done to capture a modern yet tropical theme. The pool is definitely special and I really like the no chlorine water. If you want to relax, and enjoy St John in a very unique setting, then Mare Blu is the perfect place.

Pictures can't do this fabulous Villa justice! Everything is absolutely perfect from the amazing lounge chairs by the infinity pool to the decor and artwork this contemporary villa is made for relaxation in the best of style. The bedrooms are super comfortable, linens are plush, each bedroom has its own private bath and doors you can open to feel the ocean breezes. The kitchens, both outdoor and indoor are expertly stocked with all necessities. The entertainment system is great and adds to the overall experience. One of our favorite things about Mare Blu is that from every room and the patio the view of the Caribbean is spectacular. We can't say enough about the vacation we had at Mare Blu. As if the fabulous house and great location on St. John isn't enough, the ladscaping is awesome too, we even had fresh limes from the tree in our drinks. No detail is forgotten here - we highly recommend this property.

We stayed at Mare Blu to celebrate my twin daughters' birthday. We could not have imagined a more perfect setting for a celebration! The villa is a convenient drive to town, nestled on the lush hillside of St John's South Shore. The pictures do not lie, there are vast ocean vistas available from every room. Mare Blu is nothing like the typical St John villa (we've seen many of them personally): it is vibrantly decorated with rich color and artwork. Every room is different and so comfortable; the owners have thoughtfully detailed the home with unique touches that made entertaining fun and easy. On the day of the party, we had a group of kids and their parents. Everyone was amazed with the house and the layout. The kids were loving the pool, and made the veranda a makeshift dance floor! The kitchen/great room allowed for a lively gathering, while the bedrooms were removed and provided quiet privacy. A perfect getaway for groups, active families, sedentary families (you may never want to leave!), everyone!
