Take in the ocean breezes while relaxing in the huge great room with the French doors fully open. Sit in peace listening to flowing water from the fountains in the beautiful patio gardens. BBQ or lie in the sun on the deck or just go for a walk down to the beach, several blocks away.
You will be staying in Cardiff by the Sea, one of Southern California's most awesome and relaxing hide away.
You will be amazed when you step into this gorgeous 2 level 2600 sq ft home which sits on a quiet street above the village.
Unique features of the home include 32 feet of French slider doors which open to the ocean, hardwood floors, granite fireplace, crystal chandelier, large spacious kitchen with granite counters, vintage Wedgewood double oven stove, wine cooler, 25 cubic ft refrigerator with filtered water and ice, dishwasher, and a large restaurant style sink.
There are antique furnishings throughout. The dining area includes an antique marble buffet and rosewood table that seats 6. There is also a table in the kitchen which seats 4 and the bar seats 3.
A BBQ is located just outside on the deck overlooking the ocean. For entertainment, a flat screen TV with Satellite dish, DVD players, Bose stereo system, CD player, and a piano.
A favorite past time is to watch the glow of sunset each night which can be seen from anywhere in the great room and two of the three bedrooms. You will feel like you are in your own private and peaceful resort.
All of the bedrooms are very private, each with their own full bathroom. The master bedroom has a view of the ocean, a queen size bed and a deck. The master bath has a large claw foot bath tub (in addition to the shower), pedestal sinks, and black marble.
The second bedroom also has a view of the ocean, and antique Scottish double bed, and a beautiful bathroom with a granite topped vanity chest.
The third bedroom opens to a patio garden, has a queen size bed, and a ceiling fan. The bathroom features a travertine topped antique vanity chest with a vintage bath and shower.
Off of the main hallway sits the laundry room and half bathroom.
Watch surfers ride the waves at Cardiff Reef or play golf at Torrey Pines, Encinitas Ranch, or Lomas Santa Fe, each just minutes away. Enjoy the thrill of thoroughbred horseracing at the the world famous Del Mar Track where "the surf meets the turf."
The track is just 10 minutes away and is open July through September. Legoland, Wild Animal Park, and the San Diego Zoo are easy day trips away. Glen Park (tennis, horse shoes, basketball), Quail Botanical Gardens, and Swami's Beach Park are right in your backyard.
Daily beach equipment rentals including kayaks, wet suits, surfboards, etc. are just down the street. Shopping is plentiful from the Carlsbad Outlet Mall to the quaint little boutiques in the coastal communities.
Hop aboard the Coaster train and head to downtown San Diego (just 30 minutes away) for fun in Balboa Park, Old Town, Gaslamp Quarter, Sea World, or Coronado Island.
