This was my second time at Casa del Gekko and my wife's first. It was absolutely beautiful. Tony and Linda are wonderful hosts and friends. The house has everything you possibly need including most importantly privacy. We can't wait to come back. Also, highly recommend the Corcavado Trip. Ask Linda, she'll set everything up. Thanks again.

Stunning location, wonderful hosts!

It's taken me too long to write this review, but better late than never. We stayed here last February for a week with our two boys, then aged 3 and 1. We absolutely loved the location of this house, further south than we have stayed in the past, extremely private, with stunning views and access to very special hikes and waterfalls. The hosts, Tony and Linda (and their son Travis), are really wonderful, and we only regret that we didn't manage to find more time to spend with them. Their own gorgeous house sits just up the hill a bit further so they are very available to help in whatever ways you need - and we relied on them for a variety of above and beyond things, like an emergency medical appraisal of our baby when he had a spiked fever, and a declogging of my ears (Tony is a doctor), as well as riding our 3 year old around on the ATV, sharing pool toys, and entertaining us with a cocktail on their lovely veranda. They are fascinating and kind people, and staying at the Casa was wonderful not only because of the great house, but because they made the visit extra special. The house was just perfect for us, clean and well-outfitted, with beautiful grounds. Tony can walk you around and explain all the trees and wildlife, of which there is plenty. The pool is lovely. The road up to the house has its tricky parts (the curve right before the driveway being memorable, and parts of the road on the way to the waterfalls) but totally manageable in a 4x4. This was our 4th trip to Costa Rica and our best so far. We would absolutely stay in this house again (though this year we are traveling with another family of 4 so needed something a bit bigger). The size of this house would be perfect for 2-3 couples, or perhaps 4 adults with 1-2 children total (kids sharing a room).

My boyfriend and I stayed at Casa Del Gekko for a week, and it completely exceeded our expectations! When we drove into the property it was heavenly to behold..the well-manicured yard, exquisite pool, and 3 bedroom house with all the amenities was more than we imagined. It was hard to believe we were 15 minutes from the nearest beach, and just outside the property gate was the biggest playground ever, with mountain trails, rivers, gorges, waterfalls, and nature at its finest - to explore anytime of day. The ocean views and sunsets from the main house were fantastic to see each night and the weather was perfect. > > Tony and Linda Hamilton were gracious hosts and welcomed us into their world with river walks, repelling excursions, hiking and swimming in the gorges. Tony is the resident expert on everything in the jungle and the perfect guide.. and Linda can set you up with any activity available in this area. I would highly recommend this location to anyone seeking all that the jungle and ocean has to offer in Costa Rica!

The Perfect Honeymoon Spot

We recently made Casa del Gekko our honeymoon destination. It was absolutely perfect! We loved waking up every morning to the sounds of waterfalls, exotic birds, and monkeys as much as we enjoyed watching the sunset dip down over the Pacific. The house and yard are completely secluded from the hand full of neighbors that reside on the nearby mountainsides. Tony and Lynda were such wonderful hosts. They took us on several treks through waterfalls and made us feel perfectly at home. Thank you so much for making our honeymoon so memorable. Till next time! Gideon & Jen

My daughter and I recently stayed at Casa Del Gekko. The home is amazing! In the mornings you wake up to the sounds of the wildlife around. Tony and Linda were gracious hosts and most supportive in making our holiday extra special. The location is terrific - from mountains to beach within 20 mins. We enjoyed many activities including boogie boarding, ziplining, and riding horses. The later took us to the beach for some unforgetable moments of riding next to the surf. We are coming back to stay again!

We spent 1 week in April 2010 at this magnificent home with an amazing view of the rain forest. It was very comfortable for 6 people with a beautiful and refreshing swimming pool. The owners, Tony and Linda, went out of their way to make our stay memorable by organizing river walks, rappeling down beautiful waterfalls, etc.etc. The pacific ocean is only 15 minutes away and is surfers paradise with a very warm water. The area is of unparallel beauty and completelly unspoiled by civilization. We were waking up by monkeys and beautiful birds, There are also amazing restaurants nearby with international cuisine We can't wait to go back and we truly recommend this house for anyone looking to relax with a bit of adventure.

What a gorgeous place to stay! The house, pool and grounds are beautiful and very well kept. It is very nice and quiet. The Hamiltons are terrific hosts. We will definitely stay here again!

We were fortunate enough to stay at the Casa del Gekko this year and can't say enough wonderful things about this property. It was clean, secure and spacious, with a beautiful view of the ocean and jungle. Our favorite area was the private pool. Tony and Linda were wonderful hosts as well. It's the perfect accomodation for your Costa Rican vacation!

We stayed at the Casa del Gekko for a week in May, 2009 and absolutely loved it! Tony and Linda went above and beyond to be sure that we had an enjoyable time. This was our first visit to Costa Rica, but now we can't wait to plan a return trip!

We stayed in the Gekko house for two weeks in January 2009, and can thoroughly recommend it as a very comfortable house, surrounded by a large garden with mature plants and a mass of flowers. The view is great, and nearby, there are lots of activities.
