  We had a great stay at this condo. The unit is well appointed and in great condition. Grounds were well kept and were constantly being cleaned by staff. It was a pleasure dealing with the owner (Terry). She was very helpful and accomodating. We would book Terry's condo again in the future!

  El Faro is probably the best location of its kind in Playa, sandwiched between the beach and 5 avenue there is always something to do. We did a 5 star all inclusive at a property near by and realized that doesn't make sense with all restaurant options 5 avenue has to offer. This was our second time renting at el Faro, the unit was just as described and the owner is a pleasure to work with, she even includes a list of restaurant and excursion activities that were very helpful. we a family of 6 stayed there the week after Xmas which must be the busiest of the year and even so the staff at the front desk still managed efficiently and took care of our needs quickly. El Faro - we will be back. Thank you Terry, Sylvia & Cesar.

  From the moment we arrived at the El Faro Complex and specifically Terry's condo, we were treated with such a wonderful experience. We really loved the location and can't speak enough about the excellent service from the front desk, housekeeping, and even from Terry. The unit is well maintained and appointed; with very good daily maid service. During our stay we walked North past the Mamitas Beach area, where we have staying in years past, and South to the Ferry Dock and each time we were re-assured that we were indeed in the most perfect location in PDC. The beach is truly magnificent with gentle rolling waves and powder soft sand. Having beach chair service daily and pool side chair service available was nice because we could split our time between the pool and the beach without worry of loosing our spots. The complex has excellent security and we never worried about our belongings, even when we were away from our lounge chairs or on a chips and salsa run. Another great plus of this condo is the very reliable wi-fi service, vonage phone, comfortable king beds, air conditioning units w/ remotes, excellent kitchen amenities, and tons of entertainment options with cable TV and flat panels throughout the unit. The 2nd floor unit has spectacular ocean views. We traveled with some friends and they were praising me the entire time we were in PDC for finding this gem. Another great plus to the location is it is very close to the heart of 5th avenue, and only a few blocks from Walmart. We never needed a taxi as it was such an easy and safe walk back and forth from the store. Our favorite restaurant was El Fogon, just a block South of Walmart, with great local taste and one of the best values we found in PDC (dont forget the Mango Licuados). For scuba diving we chose Scuba Playa just a two minute walk from El Faro. They offer max diver service of only four persons, and their boats are anchored right next to the condo. We loved the daily towel service too. Again, Terry is great to work with and is a great communicator. . Thanks for one of the best vacations we have been on, we will be back!!!

  We had an outstanding vacation on the beach!! Everything in the condo was fantastic- right down to the sharp knives ? . It had all the conveniences of home. The porch is an amazing place to sit and look out over the ocean. We really appreciated Terry's notes and used all of the tips and suggestions. The location of the condo could not be any better and we found our way around no problem. As for the staff at El Faro- they were great. The front desk were very helpful and everything was waiting for us when we arrived. Housekeeping staff were excellent. Most of all though the Security staff were stellar!! El Faro grounds were lovely and the place was very well kept and clean. It really was a great vacation and we will definitely be back.

  I was in Playa del Carmen for 2 weeks with family and friends (2 families: 4 adults and 4 kids). The condo was just perfect I have nothing negative to say about Terry's place. Everything you need is in the condo, it's very clean and well maintained. Terry was a great help for all of my questions and gave us some good tips on tours and restaurants. Pool and beach are perfect and the view of the sunrise from the balcony is just amazing. Music outside is really not that bad it did not disturbed any of us not even the kids. Beds and pillows where also just perfect. I would go back anytime and would recommend this condo. Thanks Terry we had the best vacation ever!!!! Sharon

  I recently stayed at Reef 302 and had a really nice time. The property is very well appointed and looks just like the photos - even better actually. The unit has bottled (jugs) water and a pump under the sink with a separate faucet for convenience, as well as a separate bottled water unit. There are flat screen TVs in each bedroom as well as the living room, plus DVD players and cable/satellite too. The pool and beach in front of El Faro were great (no boats anchored there like El Taj and other nearby condos). We also got a chance to meet the owner while were were there. Previously, she had helped us secure a second El Faro unit for other family members for the same trip and she was very helpful. It was great to meet her in person, and we would like to thank her for all the help and advice she gave us. Thanks, Terry! If you are considering renting a condo near this area of PDC, I would highly recommend El Faro and especially Terry's unit.

  When it was time to plan our winter trip the decision was an easy one. We had stayed in Terry's condo last year and loved it so "why mess with perfection"? Check in was a breeze- with even the same front desk staff-the only difference is they wanted us to wear wristbands (they explained that the resort is much busier and they need to know who belongs) and the use of El Faro beach towels as opposed to our owner's. Opening the door to the condo was just like coming home! We all agreed that we have never felt so comfortable on vacation as we do in this condo. The owner's have gone to great lengths to ensure their guests comfort and it shows. From oversized comfortable furniture on the enormous balcony, to flat screens in every room, to lighted vanity mirrors in the bathrooms, to a fully stocked kitchen and this year's most welcome addition WIFI! You simply cannot ask for more. Even when you are walking around the resort you will notice that many of the condos seem sparsely furnished- not Reef 302. The grounds and pool are as lovely as we remembered - even if the sea has reclaimed alot of the beach! This stretch of beach is very lively and a lot of fun can be had people watching and visiting the numerous beach bars. The staff is helpful and we even had the same housekeeper who did a wonderful job of keeping our condo spic and span. I think it really says something about a place when you can go back for a repeat visit another year and see many, many of the same staff. We didn't eat at Wicky's as much as last year- I am not sure if there has been some sort of changes but it just didn't seem to be the same as the previous year. The food wasn't as good and the service was at times non existent. No matter. There is many wonderful places to eat just steps away. We had memorable meals this year at: Playa Maya- toes in the sand breakfast La Terraya for lunch and dinner La Mission for a spectacular dinner La Piola for a lovely Italian mean Canibal Royal beach club for truly the most amazing shrimp tacos ever!!! All in all, just a wonderful stay! I am sure we will be back if for no other reason than many family members have stated that they want to come with us!

  If you want to be in the middle of it all, within easy walking of everything; the beach and 5th Avenue shops and restaurants, this property is a very good choice. The views from the outside balcony were wonderful and the interior is decorated and outfitted perfectly. The pool is quite large, but for some reason the water was not circulating through the waterfall or infinity spillway. It was large enough to swim laps. I would recommend researching restaurants prior to arrival as there is a huge selection and some are good and some are awful. Just walking around and selecting whatever seemed good resulted in a very poor meal. The owner provides good recommendations; the front desk is not helpful. The beach has eroded away quite a bit since our last visit 5 years ago, but still lovely. It is quite busy and walking south is a quieter experience. Bring earplugs for sleeping as there is often loud music playing from the beach. We had a very nice stay and enjoyed ourselves.

  I want to start out by saying the condo's are centrally located and are very nice and clean, nice pool area, the balcony comfortable and roomy, the staff very nice, the only problem was this condo did not have a laundry room, big minus for us. Also it was situated between two restaurants, one on each side of the condo, which plays loud music, that made it very difficult to sleep and we could not open our doors to enjoy the ocean.

  The place was FABULOUS!!! I can’t say enough good things about it. Some of my group stayed in your condo, and some stayed at the same resort, but a unit that was owned/managed by a separate group. Your unit was SOOOO much better than the other...everything about it was better! The kitchen was fully stocked, there were multiple TVs, and the décor was very tasteful. It was all the nice little extra touches (like the kids toys, the conch shell lights, jellyfish lamps, magazines, beach bag, cooler, etc.) that made your place feel like home. The employees were accommodating to every need and all of the requests were taken care of right away. The maids did a great job and it was nice to have daily service included. The view from the unit is breathtaking, and having the stairway right beside the front door made it easy to come up from the pool to restock the cooler, or grab a quick bite. The location of the resort could not have been better. We were close to everything....shopping, nightlife, restaraunts, bus station, WalMart, grocery store, ferry, dive shop....you name it, and it was within walking distance. We were glad to not have to rent a car, and only used a taxi/bus when traveling to the ruins, snorkeling, or to the ecopark. We were traveling with small children, and always felt safe walking around town. The dive shop you recommended, Geofish was equally impressive. All the guys in our group are scuba snobes, and they were very pleased with the dive sites, equipment, and pricing. The location was great, very convenient to the condo. Christie was always available to help, even when it wasn’t a question related to diving. She assisted us with restaurant choices, directions to various places, and choosing a park for the kids. I was glad to have her around the corner! We were very pleased with the transportation company you arranged. They were very accommodating and pleasant to ride with. He even stopped and let me buy some cerveza once we left the airport. All of your suggestions were good, and I’m glad that we had you to help! I could always count on you to answer any question we had in a timely manner. We will definitely be back!!!
