Perfectly designed, perfectly located, perfectly functional.
This studio was designed by its owner, a former automobile designer. Look at the pictures, they tell everything.
The studio is located in the avenue Junot in Montmartre, on the 5th floor of a very fine building. The elevator is a piece of art deco collection. The studio sleeps two guests in a high class convertible sofa. It is used by the owner himself a few weeks per year. A caretaker manages the building.
The studio offers an open view on the avenue Junot, its larges trees and prestigious buildings of fine architecture. This prestigious avenue was built early 1900, replacing “le marquis”, a place of old wooden houses.
The painters Maurice Utrillot, Poulbot, Gen-Paul as well as Tristan Tzara lived in some of the incredible houses that were built at that time. It remains the upmost location where many famous rich artists or powerful family live.
As a bonus, Phone calls to land lines in France, and to US, Canada and australia are generaly free. It is also true for more than 50 countries. More over, calls to cell phones towards specific countries (often US & Canada) may also be free. Ask us for detail as it may vary with time and policies of operators.
The Sacre Coeur and its gardens are 2 min walk. Les abbesses, the trendy part of Montmartre is just down the hill : many restaurants, shops and nice café terraces. The LAMARCK subway is 1 min walk, and the ABBESSES subway station is 3 min walk.
This location is a perfect base to visit Paris. It stays 15 minute by subway to most interesting Paris locations AND is a very charming and restful area to be appreciated after a whole day shopping and walking through museums.
Last point, we are staying 1 block away.
We are here if you need help, but do not worry, we will not be intrusive.

Wonderful Paris studio apartment

My wife and I loved staying in this Montmartre studio apartment. It was small but layed out well and was very livable. It had everything we needed, was super clean and quiet, the pullout bed was very comfortable and everything worked perfectly. Having such a well stocked market just outside the entrance was a huge convenience. Jean-Noel and team have a well-organized process for self-checkin/checkout and the instructions and directions were helpful and easy to follow. The location was perfect, a few minutes walk from charming Montmartre sights, great cafes and restaurants, and the Metro. We've stayed in Paris before but this is the first time renting with VRBO - it was so much better than staying in a hotel.

I had a wonderful time in Paris while staying in the apartment. The location was just perfect! The metro is just a 3-5 minute walk from the apartment. Staying in Montmarte was just right. Close to the center of Paris but far enough away that you get the experience of living like a true Parisian. The description of the apartment was accurate. Although it is a studio it is well designed. I never felt like I had little room. The sofa bed was SO VERY comfortable. I highly recommend this apartment!

The apartment is perfect for a couple who would stay for a while in Paris. Clean, modern, functional. Down the front door on the right, descending the stairs you have a great supermarket. Is located in the romantic Montmartre...a perfect stay! Near the metro station, a little village, with pitoresque corners, full of restaurants, wine bar etc. In the hill with a great view over Paris. With the metro you have practically no distance from all the site you want/have to visit in Paris. Jean Noel, the owner of the renting society, is gentle, honest, esay to communicate with. You have not to worry about anything, just follow the instructions via mail before leaving, don't worry about paying via the net ( I used paypal, and received 1 refund for one incorrect payment by me and few days after the return 1 refund for the apt insurance). I have to return in Paris (1 week is not so much...) and I'll recontact Jean Noel for another apartment...

Small but efficient, modern and tasteful use of space. Very clean, warm, well-lighted. Best sofa bed we've ever slept on; good bathroom, shower. No clothes dryer. Loved having the elevator. Upscale neighborhood with convenient shops and restaurants, bars and metro nearby; not crowds of tourists. We especially loved walking through the neighborhood and up to Sacre Couer. Owner was responsive to our concerns; promptly returned the deposit. We would definitely stay here again.

Junot #1 - great value for money

"I stayed at Junot #1 for a week in early October 2010 and I found it ideal for a solo traveller on a short visit. Big windows, high ceilings, light walls, and clever use of mirrors in the kitchen give a spacious feel. The bathroom is small but well designed, and the shower is good – plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The sofa bed has a very easy mechanism and is comfortable. When pulled out there's still good space around it. The kitchen is simple but has all you need for a short stay, and there’s a small but efficient washing machine (though there is no dryer). Just adjacent to the building there’s a good little supermarket, and nearby an excellent patisserie, and some nice restaurants (I recommend Café de la Butte). The Metro’s a short walk away. My only criticism is the lack of an iron and ironing board, and the limited storage space (which might be a problem for a couple if they have lots of luggage). Overall, though, this studio is very well-maintained, in an excellent location, it's very good value for money and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. "

My husband and I absolutely loved this apartment right in the heart of Montmartre! It was perfectly situated near the Metro lines, and within walking distance to the Sacre Cour, and so near all the cafe's, boulangeries, fromageries, patisseries and even a grocery store at the corner! Having stayed in the apartment for almost a week, we felt like we were part of the neighborhood. The view from the balcony was picturesque. The bed was comfortable, the apartment small and stylish, the bath modern and the lift was convienient. If you're looking for the perfect place away from the tourist areas yet close enough to everything- this is it!

July 2009, the first time that my husband and I spent 2 weeks in Paris, we stayed in a hotel. Between the hotel and having to go to restaurants, which both were VERY expensive, we spent thousands of dollars. October 2009, we were dying to go back to Paris, so we rented this studio apartment. For the two of us, it was PERFECT! We walked to the grocery store every night to buy our dinners, and stopped at the bakery that is downstairs. We felt like this was our home. There were so many wonderful things about staying in the 18th Arrondissement. Too many to list. We look at our 4000 photos that we took almost everyday. We were equipped with two cameras so we didn't have to fight over one. One thing to remember when staying in Paris. The buildings are old, and the walls are thin. Even in the hotels. We only had one night in this studio apartment where it was hard to sleep for about an hour. Before I forget...The Subway is walking distance from this apartment. We took it everywhere!

Perfect Second Honeymoon

My wife and I began our "perfect second honeymoon" last September (2009) with our stay in this excellent studio apartment. Not wanting another "hotel" experience, since we were to spend two weeks in Paris, we wanted more Parisienne experience and found VRBO. Jean-Noel's listing had everything we needed to make our decision, and payment options were a breeze with PayPal. Check-in and out was easy. The apartment was ultra modern; we loved living there, and we prepared dinners frequently. Living in, and experiencing Montmartre was wonderful, and we enjoyed strolling that picturesque area immensely. We shopped at the local grocery and various patisseries just like the local folks -- so much better than being a "tourist.". The metro was a block away, so we could go everywhere. We even took the train to Giverny this time. Renting an apartment is the best way to experience Paris, and this one is perfect for two!
