The studio is clean and near the beach, downtown and good restaurants. I loved it. It was sunny and it's a calm area. The owners (Yasmin and Bill) will make you feel like home. I love San Diego, and studio in Ocean Beach. I will be back for a good time.

The place was clean and close to the beach & shops. Also it had a great deck (seperate for both units). The owners were very nice and accomodating. I will most likely stay in this exact one again, WAY better than a hotel. I am from SD and this is a great price and area, can't be beat.

We actually didn't end up staying at the cottage, but the owner's allowed us to stay at their Mission Hills condo instead. Their Mission Hills condo was great, It was a perfect central location to all things in SD and it was very family friendly. We wouldn't recommend the Ocean Beach cottage for families with small children because it seems like more of the party beach, but the Mission Hills condos are perfect. thx!!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Seahorse Cottage. It was everything we needed and MORE. We couldn't be happier. Off street parking is great, and is a MUST when staying in any beach community in San Diego. Walking distance to the main strip in OB, shopping, restaurants, bars, post office, gas station, pharmacy, you name it. We will definitely be back, and will recommend this place to ALL of our friends visiting San Diego. Thanks for a GREAT trip!
Owner response:Thank you for the wonderful review.

We stayed 6 nights at The Seahorse Cottage in the beginning of October and we absolutely loved it. The Cottage is super cozy and the outside area is great. Owners were very helpful in suggesting places to visit and eat in and around the area. 2 minutes walk to the beach, short walk to the supermarket, bank, coffee shops and restaurants. What more can you ask for? When visiting San Diego again this will be our first choice to stay!

This was my second time renting with Bill and Yasmin, and my first at the Seahorse Cottage. It's lovely. There's a courtyard between the cottage and the other two-bedroom rental on the property, and the property itself is fenced-in with a keypad lock on both front and back entrances. The cottage is clean, well-maintained, and cozy, with tv, cable and dvd. Full kitchen if you want to cook or just keep perishables in the fridge. Five minutes walking distance to beautiful Ocean Beach, and Newport Street for the shops. Grocery store and pharmacy are close by, as well as other interesting shops and restaurants. If you're a light sleeper, be sure to bring earplugs because the airplanes fly over Ocean Beach starting promptly at 6:30 a.m. everyday. Somehow this was not a problem when I was dozing on the beach! :) You will enjoy your stay immensely here.

I stayed 8 nights in April/May 2009. The Seahorse Cottage is exactly as pictured--clean, comfortable, and well equipped. As a solo traveler, I appreciated front and back locking gates. Owners were very responsive to minor phone calls about internet service. I chose an all public tranportation trip. Beach, groceries, pharmacy are within short walking distance from the cottage. Easy city bus access to airport, train station, downtown San Diego, and Balboa Park. Enjoyed strolling throughout Ocean Beach, which is like a small town within the city. Recommend Newport Pizza and Azucar Cuban patisserie, both on Newport Avenue. [The only drawback, as throughout Ocean Beach, is plane flyovers starting at 6:30 a.m. Bring earplugs.]

We had a wonderful time in San Diego at the Seahorse Cottage. It was very clean and well kept. The bed was cozy and the location is walking distance to the beach. It was fun to walk around town and see the sites. The town of Ocean Beach is very diverse with people from all walks of life. We enjoyed this aspect of the area and appreciated that it was not a tourist trap kind of place. The cottage is close enough to hwy 5 you can find your way around easily. Bill was helpful with suggestions for places to eat and things to do. The ice cream shop rocked and the flea marked on Wednesday had some really great food and shopping. They are working on having a washer and dryer which will be a great addition. I loved the little sitting area outside where I enjoyed fresh coffee every morning. The off street parking is nice Nice job on a beautiful little cottage, we will be back to stay again soon.
