"Casa B" was originally constructed in the late 1800's as a single family home. It is currently a two flat with separate accommodations on the first and second floors. The first floor residence is available for rent and has two bedrooms and one bath.
It is immaculately clean, impeccably maintained and beautifully decorated! The interior finishes include Douglas Fir beaded board ceilings which create a warm cottage style atmosphere. Authentic oak hardwood flooring can be found in the living and bedrooms. Both bedrooms and living room have large, west facing windows which flood the space with natural light and allow for nice lake breezes. On days when the temperatures are a bit too warm, central air-conditioning will cool your sun tanned skin down nicely.
"Casa B" offers a wrap around front porch from which you can see South Haven's Marina and the Black River. It is also great for people watching as people walk to and from the North Beach down Chicago Avenue. There is also a private back deck with a natural gas barbecue, outdoor dining table and chairs.

Why the Owner Chose South Haven
Sheila's grandmother owned a home in the neighborhood which is referred to as "Historic Monroe Park". This is the neighborhood which is directly adjacent to the North Beach. As a child, Sheila spent her summers in South Haven. After living and raising their four children in the south suburbs of Chicago, Sheila and Dave decided to move to South Haven and become full time residents. They love South Haven!!!
The Unique Benefits at this House
The number one benefit of staying at Casa B is the location, specifically the proximity to the North Beach. More specifically, the ease with which you can walk to and from the North Beach without being burdened with huge hills nor an endless set of stairs. Aside from this most important factor, the best feature of Casa B is that Sheila and Dave live on the second floor of the house. Pride of ownership abounds!
A real, old-fashioned concession stand that sells ice cream and lemonade and rents volleyballs. Plop down on one of the stools, dig your toes into the sand and watch the world go by.
Beautiful flat beach that is huge! Pleanty of room for everyone from toddlers playing by the water's edge to young adults playing volleyball at the top of the beach. Fun for all generations of the family. Forget the diet and get some authentic Sherman's Dairy Ice Cream at the concession stand!
Get up early in the morning and stroll out on the pier with the fisherman. Very peaceful and relaxing!
Walk along the Black River and read the informative markers describing the history of South Haven. Sit on a park bench and watch boats and people pass by. Enjoy the peaceful pace of life.
This park has magnificent flowers in the summertime. There is a replica of an old fashioned clock tower as well as park benches to sit and soak in some sunshine as well as the surrounding beauty. Casa B is just around the corner from this special little park!

We had a great week in South Haven! Casa B is the perfect size (and price) for our small family of four. The house was adorable, clean and comfortable. Love the covered back deck and the front porch. The best part of Casa B is that it is SO close to North Beach...literally a 5 minute walk or less! The marina, pier and downtown area are also within walking distance. We are already planning to rent again next summer! Casa B won't disappoint small families.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

This is a delightful house. So warm and comfortable. I could walk to beach, ride my bike into town. The owners were lovely people. I will definately rent this property again. I love, love, loved the wrap around porch. Great for reading a book, watching the boats and hearing the concerts on Thursday evenings.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway.
