The Great Getaway Lodge is a brand new log cabin that welcomes you to the Ozarks and Branson area. There is so much to do and see around this location nestled in a wooded golf course community.
Our beautiful cabin is log construction inside and out. Our lodge decor with inspirational wall art invites you into a home where families can feel at home and at rest. Whether you are sitting inside reading a great book by the roaring fire, or if you are having a nice cozy time with someone special in the gazebo, we know that you will have a memorable time here.
The back deck overlooks the golf course below and has your own private hot tub and patio furniture for a nice meal outdoors. Or stay in and eat in the fully furnished kitchen. There is a gas grill and a park grill on site for your barbeque needs.
The Great Getaway Lodge is furnished with all new furnishings, a 42" large screen television, and decor that you would find comfortable and inviting to rest and relax while away from home. There is a fully equipped kitchen that seats 8 comfortably at a large, wooden dining table. We have tried to make the stay an easy one with a washer/dryer, a television in each room, DVD players along with DVDs and games. For your convenience, we also have an ironing board and iron along with hairdryers in each bathroom.
Our cabin has three bedrooms along with a pullout couch that can sleep up to 8. The Americana Room as a king size bed, television, DVD player, and an adjacent master bath with separate jetted tub and shower. The Rustic Moose Room has a queen size bed, television and DVD player. The third bedroom is decorated in a bear theme with two twin beds, television and DVD player.
Attractions - Table Rock Lake, Dogwood Canyon, Silver Dollar City, Eureka Springs, Persimmon Hill and all that Branson has to offer in restaurants, shows and shopping are within miles of The Great Getaway Lodge. Or, stay in and enjoy the wood fires, relaxing in the hot tub, or swim at the resort's swimming pool.
Our cabin is located off Highway 65 on Highway 86, just across from Big Cedar's entrance. Flying into the new Branson airport? We are only 10 minutes away.

The cabins are very close together, not much privacy on the back deck and in the hot tub. We could smell the sewer when we were outside, not very pleasant. The bedroom with the queen bed did not have a remote for the TV. The bedroom with the twin beds did not have a working DVD player. I complained several times about these things and the management company said they would take care of it but they never did and we were there a week! The toaster in the cabin was broken and the management company replaced it but it was a piece of junk too and we had to hold the handle down to get it to work. The interior of the cabin was nice but the management is not great.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

3 couples stayed here for a weekend getaway to Branson. It was perfect and had everything one would need. Great stay and the owners were very easy to work with.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We stayed at the Cook's cabin for two nights with another family. The kids loved it and the adults did too. It was furnished nicely -- probably the best we've seen, very close to the upscale designs of Big Cedar Lodge (we've stayed at many cabins in Branson through the years). The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a meal and then some. The towels were plentiful and the bed linens were wonderful. The beds were also extra comfortable. They gave us a great deal on our stay and were accommodating with my questions. We also thought the location was almost perfect - only about a 10-15 minute highway drive to downtown or the strip. "Warm, Inviting and Peaceful!" We recently stayed two nights in The Great Getaway Cabin and fell so in love with the place we are looking into purchasing a cabin for our family to enjoy year around. This place has it all, golf, boating, fishing, skiing, shows, theme parks, and shopping all within minutes of the cabin's front door. There's no better place to return to after a full day of fun than a beautiful luxury cabin like the Great Getaway. Thank you so much for sharing your private cabin with us. About the owner: We are the Cook family. Eddie is a Chaplain in the United States Army while Jennifer is a freelance graphic artist and fulltime homeschooling mom. We have a seven-year-old son, Edward, who is our pride and joy.
Why the Owner Chose Ridgedale:
Being stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, we realized we had a chance to visit the wonderful, quaint town of Branson more often. We loved the Branson appeal with all its shows and attractions, but fell in love with the remote location of our cabin 8 miles south of the city. A short distance from all the attractions yet away from the hustle and bustle, the cabin is so quiet. Being only three miles from Table Rock Lake is great too! Branson is such a family-oriented getaway excursion and that is why we fell in love with this area.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
We love going to our cabin! We are blessed to be a part of our military, but the Army is a very demanding life. The joy about our cabin is truly how we feel when we are there. We are in another world, one that is relaxing and restful. The hot tub on the back deck is my husband and son's favorite place. Almost every night has a fire roaring in the fireplace. We also love walking the golf course and being surrounded by such a beautiful, wooded area. Our prayer is that our guests will find our cabin as restful and peaceful as we do...truly a Great Getaway!
