  My friend and I had a one of the best times we have ever had in Panama City Beach, FL. This awesome experience is due greatly to the wonderful Condo at the Calypso Resort. The owners have it decorated really nice with modern furnishing that are very comfortable. The Pictures really don’t do the condo justice. The bed rooms and living space are adequate for the number of people the description states. The third bed room/bunk room is perfect for children or teens. This condo is perfect for a family trip or a group of friends. Our group could have easily stayed over a week and not have gotten cabin fever. The Condo was located near everything you need, "Beach front property, balcony with breath taking views, shopping, and food mintues away." Also the owners were extremely friendly and answered all questions that we had. The rental process was speedy and simple. I have rented beach property for sometime now and I will say this was one of the best. We did not have to go to a different location to check in or check out, everything was handled between the owners and our party. I will be repeat customer, and have already recommended this property to my friends and family.

  Michael and Susan's condo was awesome for our family vacation. Very spacious and roomy, clean, plenty of sleeping room for 8 people. All the amenities were in place, we were not in need of anything. Thank you so much for this wonderful week!

  I was pleased with my stay at the Calypso, everything described was exactly as stated. The photos were accurate and the condo was very clean and comfortable. The owners were great to work with and very helpful. I had a few minor problems and they were addressed immediately. I would recommend this condo to anyone. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance and Pier Park is right across the street.

  When we arrived at the condo after 4:00 on Saturday and waited on an elevator for 30 minutes with all our bags and groceries, we walked into the condo and thought we had the wrong place. All the beds were unmade and it was not clean! After a call to the owner, we were told to leave the condo for a couple of hours to allow the cleaning crew to clean. There had been a mix up and it had not been cleaned yet. This was very inconvenient to have to leave with our stuff after being in the car for 7 hours and all we wanted to do was get a shower and relax. The owner offered us $100 back and I didnt feel that was compensation enough for starting off our week this way. They did give us $150 sent back to us with our deposit but that was it. The condo ended up meeting all our needs but the people next door smoked on their balcony constantly and we could smell it in our unit and couldn't even enjoy our balcony. The smell from the rainwater runoff that is on the beach in front of the condo also smelled Terrible and took away from the view of a pretty, clean beach. The condo only has 2 pools and no indoor pool or hot tubs, nor does it have grills, which we enjoy. Being across the street from Pier Park was convenient but while we were there it was too cold to walk so we drove anyway and there is always plenty of parking there. So needless to say it was not the vacation I had hoped for and will not stay at this condo again. I really felt like we should have been compensated more for our troubles or at least offered a late check out or discounted one nights rent. I would have been much happier!

  Owner response: As self-managed owners, reviews like this are beyond distressing. I would hope that anyone who takes the time to read a review like this can see that out of 5 complaints the guest was upset about (the weather not being nice enough, the water smelling, a smoker on another balcony, no hot tub, etc) that the only thing that truly pertained to us as owners, is the fact that the unit was not ready for them when they arrived. Due to a mix-up with our cleaning crew the date of her arrival the unit was not yet ready for this guest. We immediately dispatched the cleaning crew and provided the guest with a refund for 150% of her cleaning costs for the entire weeks stay for her two-hour inconvenience (which is how long it took the cleaning crew and 5 crew members to immaculately and expediently get the unit ready for this guest). I discussed this with the guest the day this incident occurred and she was in agreement that a refund of $150 ($100 cleaning fee cost + an additional $50) was acceptable for a two-hour inconvenience. We attempted to make contact with this guest to ensure she truly wanted to only leave us a 2 star review when only one of the many issues she was upset about actually pertained to us, but she never responded. We're hopeful that any potential guests reading this review can see this review for what it was...a guest that we could not make happy no matter what we tried. Our hope is that you won't let this deter you from choosing to stay with us.

  This was our first time staying in a condo for a extended period of time and we were totally happy with the whole experience. Michael and Susan were very easy to work with and made everything very easy. Everything was exactly as explained and the condo was very nice. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed and there was more than enough room to make it very comfortable to stay in for a month. The laundry room was a extra bonus as most condos have stackables in hallway. It was wonderful waking up in the morning to the sight of the ocean. The location is perfect, within walking distance to Pier Park. We would definately stay there again and again and again. Thanks Michael and Susan for everything.

  Our stay here was wonderful! The condo was just beautiful, just like the pictures show. The view from the balcony is awesome, we saw dolphins and we also watched string rays swimming in the waters. We spent alot of time just sitting on the balcony drinking our morning coffee and enjoying the sunshine. We also went down and sit on the beach and took walks down the beach. The owners Micheal & Susan were great to work with and all the instructions we had in our hands before leaving our home, so we had nothing to worry about. Our daughter was flying in from Maui and the condo was stocked with all the cooking utensils, pots, roaster pan, everything for me to make a Thanksgiving Dinner...it was perfect! The location is excellent, we walked several times to Pier Park where you can find lots to do from shopping, movie theater and restaurants and entertainment for all ages. If we ever go back to this area we will definitely contact Michael & Susan and would recommend their condo to anyone who wants to enjoy a relaxing vacation. It was the Best!!

  Thank you so much for allowing us to rent your condo. We returned today and I am happy to say we had a wonderful time!! The weather did not co-operate with us the first few days but by the last 2 it was bearable on the beach. I always know it is a gamble with the weather on spring break. Your condo is beautiful and very spacious. We have stayed in a 3 bedroom 3 bath in the calypso but the rooms were not nearly as big as yours. It was clean and everything was in good working condition. We found everything we needed to cook in the kitchen and the bathrooms were well equipped as well. I love the fact that we could watch TV in every room and my teenage girls cannot live without Wi-Fi. I will keep your info for any future trips we plan to take. Thanks again!!

  I live here in Panama City and had a friend and her daughter come to visit. Since they had never been here before to see our beautiful beaches, I decided to break up the week and stay the first few nights at my home and then surprise them with a stay at a condo for the last few nights. Knowing the area as well as I do (and searching VRBO until my eyes were crossing), trust me when I say that Michael and Susan’s lovely vacation home cannot be beat and you will have a really hard time finding more for your money! The looks on my guests’ faces when they saw the unit and that incredible view were priceless. Not only was the unit spotless, beautifully decorated, spacious, comfortable and equipped with everything we could possibly need and more, the location of the complex is perfect. We parked the car after a trip to the grocery store on Saturday and it never left the parking garage again until we checked out on Tuesday. You won’t find another location with so much to do within walking distance. And to top it off, Michael and Susan were wonderful people to rent from. Can’t wait until I have more visitors so I get to stay there again myself!

  Great beach, great condo and easy owners to work with. It was colder than usual this year in December, but we played games, walked on the beach, shopped, and ate out. An enjoyable time for our young adult to grandparents. We would definitely rent this property again and hope to do so during the summer months.

  My wife and I were a little concerned about renting on the internet. This was a first for us and our first visit to Panama City Beach. Our concerns were quickly alleviated when we contacted the owners. Everything was explained thoroughly. Susan & Michael answered our numerous questions via e-mail and telephone calls promptly and professionally. Our instructions were explicit. We were very happy with the condo as it was everything advertised and then some. During our stay, we have problems with the tv in the living room. I contacted Susan late in the afternoon and by ten A.M. the next morning a brand new 42 in. flat screen was delivered and installed. I could not have done better myself. Calypso Resort is fantastic with its proximity to Pier Park and the adjacent Veteran's Park. Ideal for a good walk. I would highly recommend this unit and have done so to familly and friends. I would rent again from Susan & Michael in a heartbeat if and when I return to Panama City Beach. High praise to you both and thank you very, very much for a wonderfull 2 months in you condo.
