Pictures do not do this cabin and property justice.!! Amazing!! My wife and I had a great time at this cabin. Very secluded. View off back porch was very nice. Wood burning stove and hot tub made our stay very enjoyable. The manager Kim, was pleasant and communication with the owners was good. The Lodge at Deadwood (right down the road) had a sports bar and a fine dining resturant. The breakfast there was incredible. We ate dinner upstairs at the Number 10 Saloon in Deadwood one night, we were pleasantly surprised they had great Italian food! We would stay ate this cabin again. One warning for dog/pet owners, there is barbed wire fencing on the property. There was plenty of room for our dogs to play and go to the bathroom, but walking the property with our dogs proved dangerous. Walk the property by yourself first before letting your dogs explore. I recommed a 4 wheel drive truck if your going in a part of the year when it could snow. We stayed there in late April and it snowed 4 inches. The road leading out of the property was tough getting out even for us, were from Wisconsin! This cabin is a great value. We would stay here again! Thank you to the Johnson's and Kim.

We'd like to thank The Johnsons for renting their cabin out to our family for the weekend. Kim, the property manager, met us when we arrived and was very friendly; showing us how to use the TV, etc. She also said not to hesitate to call if we had problems (the satellite wasn't working initially due to severe weather). It was nice to know we had someone close if we ran into any problems. We had 6 adults and two kids staying for three nights and the size of the cabin felt just right. The proximity to Deadwood was great; just a quick 5 minute drive into to town, but with the rustic and private feeling of being "in the Hills." The Lodge at Deadwood was just a mile up the road and convenient for a dinner out if you didn't want to find parking in Deadwood or make dinner at the cabin. Of course having gambling with parking close was nice too...now if I could only get my $60 back. The cabin itself had the best log cabin feel with all the amenities we were looking for; two bathrooms, dishwasher, hot tub, and easy access to ATV trails. The bedrooms were all nicely sized and the porch was perfect for morning coffee. We look forward to meeting up in the Black Hills next time and would definitely stay again or recommend it to friends or family looking for a place to stay. Thank you again!
