Excellent Fully Equipped Condo Rental in Waikiki by Very Nice Owners

Guest: Margie (Las Vegas, Nevada)
Date of Stay: 02/11/12 Review Submitted: 02/22/12

My husband and I found this website from our neighbor's recommendation (former Hawaii residents). My husband and I are annual travellers to Hawaii. Last year, while doing research online, we came across this property and couldn't believe the price, for the week. My husband inquired with Tracy (the owner, who was very nice, too, by the way) and verified everything via telephone. He booked it right away since our preferred week was available (yay!). We've stayed at the Maile Sky Court, Oaha East (2x), Waikiki Circle (3x), Queen Kapiolani. In Maui, we stayed in a fully equipped condo in Kihei. So, we were lookng forward to our stay here, too. Everything inside the clean unit, was just as described- very elegantly decorated, and was to our liking (we take at least 2 vacations a year). The cushy bed was very confortable- underneath was beach chairs we could use. There was enough storage for everything we brought- 2 nightstands (with reading material- tour books, bible, and directory), a closet with beach towels, iron, board, umbrellas, boogie boards, vacuum cleaner, and hangers , a 3-drawer dresser with supplies in the last drawer, a desk with a chair (the pull-out drawer was full of supplies), and a small table with two chairs as well (some hawaiian treats- nice touch). There was a hamper, fully equipped bathroom (hairdryer) with tub/shower combination (a basket had extra supplies) with full size toiletries (nice touch). The kitchenette area had a mini-fridge (some goodies, like aloe vera gel which my husband used for his heat rash- another nice touch), toaster oven, microwave, bagel toaster, utensils, and other supplies (tape, trash bags). Also, there was a safe, and a Sony dream machine clock radio, and a LG flat screen on the wall. My husband loved the pleasant smell when we walked back into the unit (courtesy of the 3 reed diffusers). The attention to detail was impressive. Tracy asked that we empty the trash cans (located down the hallway) and wash our dishes, which we didn't have a problem with, and did, too. We really enjoyed our stay here. Lots of places nearby, like IHOP, Wailana, ABC stores, Hilton Hawaiian Village, Cheeseburger, Red Lobster, Outback steakhouse, Buffalo Wild Wings, Kobe, Kimo Bean, Subway, and also the Ala Moana shopping center (our favorite)- all walking distance. The Hilo Hattie shuttle stops right in front too. Pool, fitness room, vending machine, & ice machine is located on the same floor as the unit.

We stayed at the property during January 2012. The listing description of the property was accurate. Photos accurately reflected the Rental appearance and ammenities. The property was clean and well maintained. I would and have recommend this peoperty to a friends. Restaurants and other Tourist attractions are easily accessable by " The Bus". The owners had everything there to meet our needs. We will most certainlyt return.

Christmas in Waikiki

Guest: Roger (United States)
Date of Stay: 12/19/11 Review Submitted: 12/30/11

This was a great Vacation and renting this Condo was a large part of it. We have a 17month old and the location and amenities made it the perfect place. I have a dilemma on writing this review because I know that the more I tell everyone how great it is the harder it will be for us to book it again because we are for sure going to come back! Tracy was so sweet(the owner). She picked us up from the airport and lent us her car seat so we didn't have to bring ours. Tracy left a great welcome basket which was awfully sweet. For those that are a little leary because of how low the price is relative to how close it is to the beach, you have nothing to worry about. I will let you in on why, it's because Tracy is fair and a giving person! There is a Ihop below the hotel and plenty of places to eat around the building. Also it is right next door to the hilton lagoon(great for kids). Thanks for everything Tracy!

Owner response:thank you for staying with us and for spreading the word about room 223 waikiki.Happy New Year Tracy and Bob Hoevel glad you had a good time

First visit to Hawaii

Guest: Don (Sacramento, California)
Date of Stay: 12/13/11 Review Submitted: 12/22/11

The room was perfect for my visit and I was pleased that it was exactly as I hoped. It's close to the beach, shopping and restaurants and everything is within a short walking distance. The room is well maintained, clean and the amenities were great. The staff was very helpful and friendly and Tracy was very quick to respond to any questions I had. I have already told friends and family they couldn't find better accomodations in Waikiki. When the opportunity comes for another trip to Waikiki, my wife and I will be sure to contact Tracy first.

Owner response:Thank you Don for staying with us and we look forward to your return. Happy New Year

Short stay before Cruise

Guest: Patrick (Orlando, FL)
Date of Stay: 12/07/11 Review Submitted: 01/19/12

We only had 3 days before an inter-island cruise and needed somewhere Central to stay. The location is perfect, right next to a 24 hour coffee shop, opposite the Hilton lagoon, buses close by and easy walk to many restaurants and attractions. Tracy picked us up at the airport which was a pleasant surprise. She also left great treats for us in the room. We had everything we needed and more. From bus timetables to laundry cleaner, towels, beach chairs and a whole lot more. The free internet came in handy also. The room is quiet and comfortable and was perfect for our needs. The pool is located on the same level as the exercise room, a full laundry is 1 floor down. Staff at the desk were friendly and helpful. Our only regret was not spending enough time here. We would highly recommend the room and this would be our first choice in returning to Oahu. Great price and all round nice room.

Tracy! you are awesome! Thank you for having us at your property, it was perfect! We walked everywhere from the hotel, such a central location. Minutes to waikiki, ala moana center, beach, and night life. The walking part helped us burn what we ate on the island. hahaha. folks! i highly recommend renting her property, the owner's very accomodating, hospitable, and the nicest person in the world! again tracy, thank you! can't wait to stay at your place again.

Location was perfect for going back and forth to UH during Warriors Welcome week as well as close to Ala Moana to catch the bus to go anywhere on the island. Thanks Tracy for such a nice place to stay. I look forward to coming back over the next 4 years.

Tracy picked us up at the airport saving us cab fare! She was great and the room was great as well. This room saved us so much money so we could do other things in hawaii instead of spending the money on a hotel room we would hardly be in. The room is right near the beach just a few blocks walking and the center of waikikii was also close. Thank you Tracy!

staying by myself - visiting for my son's wedding - a bit apprehensive! What was I even worrying about??? I had a pick up at the airport with a beautiful lei and driver and was on my way to one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in - anywhere in the world. Close to shopping, fine dining, the water, a great pool I had mostly to myself, and happy beautiful people - a great bed and A/C, everything I could want was there waiting for me - thanks, Tracy and Bob for making it all come together. Can't wait to get back.

WE COULDN'T BE MORE PLEASED WITH OUR EXPERIENCE FROM THE TIME OF INQUIRY TO THE TIME OF DEPARTURE AFTER OUR STAY. TRACY RESPONDED IMMEDIATELY TO OUR ORIGINAL INQUIRY AND ANSWERED ALL OF OUR QUESTIONS THOROUGHLY AND KINDLY. WE RESERVED OUR DATES 5/25-6/6/11 IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE WE KNEW THAT THIS WAS LIKELY THE BEST DEAL IN THE AREA. WE WERE RIGHT! CANNOT BEAT THE LOCATION FOR THIS PRICE! THE CONDO WAS CLEAN AND WELL APPOINTED WITH AMENITIES. THE OWNERS INCLUDING A VERY WELCOMING GIFT BASKET AND A VASE OF BIRDS OF PARADISE. WE LOVED BEING ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE HILTON HAWAIIN VILLAGE ON A BUDGET :) WE WALKED TOO MANY ATTRACTIONS AND RENTED A CAR FOR 2 DAYS TO SEE THE REST OF THE ISLAND. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT HOW AMAZING THIS EXPERIENCE WAS! WE WILL CERTAINLY BE RENTING THIS CONDO AGAIN IF THE OPPORTUNITY PRESENTS ITSELF. THANKS AGAIN TRACY ~ ALOHA!

Our Home away from Home!!

Guest: Trina & Jason (Regina, Sask, Canada)
Date of Stay: 04/01/11 Review Submitted: 04/20/11

I want to thank Tracy and her family again for allowing us to stay in their condo this past April 1-15/2011. The place was clean, comfortable and in a wonderful location....we truly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to returning next year. Tracy made herself available to answer any questions we had prior to our arrival and during our stay which was an asset. The room was cozy and did I mention clean and had everything one needs on a holiday right down to a comfy king side bed. The pool was located on the same floor which was great to see. The staff at the Palms were friendly, helpful and always greeted us with a smile. Also, the lobby was very clean and it had complimentary coffee and fresh apples in the morning and there was an IHOP there as well. Best of all the Palms location is wonderful, right across from the beautiful Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel where we had access to many shops and restaurants. Plus the beach was a block away and I think we had access to the best beach in Waikiki....lots of room!!! We walked everywhere and everything was so close...whether you were heading to Lewers Street or the shopping mall. We did rent a car for 3 days out of the 14 we were there but that was only to drive around the entire island of Oahu otherwise one does not need a car as the bus and trolley stop right outside the Palms. Overall our stay with Tracy was a 10/10 and we already have our time booked for next year....need I say more!!!! Thank-you again Tracy we had the best vacation and it is all thanks to you and our new home away from home!! Take care and see you soon!

Owner response:can't wait for your return.

I aboslutely love this room because it comes with so much extras that you would not get else where. The King sized bed is very cozy. The owner is very helpful and caring. The owner really has it to where it makes your stay so much more enjoyable and relaxing. The room is very clean. Also, everything for me was conveniently located for me to get to. This was my second stay and always will make reservations as long as its available. What is even better is that it's very affordable and makes things better for your stay.

Hi. I originally planned to stay alone for 5 nights in this unit, but a couple of months before my arrival a friend wanted to join me, and Tracey had no problem at all with that for no extra charge. We arrived at the unit and it was very nice. In fact, she even let me and my friend check in early, and we also we allowed to stay until 8pm on the day of check out as she had no one coming the next day. We know this was as a courteousy, so we greatly appreciated it!!! The room is a standard hotel room, and although there is no real balcony, there is a very nice pool area and small gym on the same floor which you can see nice views from. The room had dishes, silverware, a small toaster oven, a toaster, a larger microwave, a safe, plenty of towels, boogie boards, 2 beach chairs, even soap and shampoo!! We were extremely pleased with this very clean rental unit. The lobby of the building was nice too, and every bus seemed to stop right in front of the hotel or very close by. There were cheap and nice restaurants within a block or two (like IHOP, Cheese Burgers in Paradise, and the Wailana Coffee House) and the very very lovely Hilton Hawaiian Village was across the street, The beach was very close too.. only about a 5 minute walk. On Friday nights, there are free fireworks at the Hilton on the beach, so it is very easy to see that 7 minute show. The Hilton has penguins and flamingos on display and lots of lovely shops. Also the Ala Moana Shopping Mall is only about 10 minutes by foot as well as Don Quixotes, which is a Japanese shop, but which sells lots of cheap souvenir goods. Anyway, I can go on and on, but for the price, I am sure it will be very very hard to find anything that comes close to the quality and location of this unit. ... and Tracey was extremely friendly and easy to reach and communicate with anytime we might have needed her.

Owner response:It was a pleasure meeting you and your friend, please come back anytime...

Guest: Ben (Soldotna, AK)
Date of Stay: 08/15/10 Review Submitted: 08/24/10

My wife and I had an excellent time during our vacation and so much of it was due to having a wonderful hotel room. It was very clean and the price was incredible for what was offered. We had access to a toaster oven, microwave, and a refrigerator which was nice so that we had other options besides eating out every single meal. The location was just a short walk away from the waikiki beach and many shops/restaurants. Many of the local bus lines also stop just outside of the hotel which makes going to pearl harbor or other sites easy and affordable. We had a great time and the owners were wonderful. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great place to spend their vacation in Hawaii.

Thanks to Tracy for a great vacation experience: the place was clean and had all the amenities mentioned in the ad. She even picked us up from the airport and was helpful when we encountered problems with the room key. The room was quiet and restful, facing away from the busy street. The value of this place is really amazing and would consider returning. The hotel is located on the eastern edge of Waikiki, close to bus stops on the main drag, but expect to walk 10-15 minutes to get to the beaches or 20-25 minutes to central Waikiki restaurants and attractions.

Hi Tracy! My husband and I had a wonderful time with the room! The price fit our budget extremely well. This room is WAY under priced for all that is provided! The guest basket, clean bath and beach towels, boogie boards, towels, the view, the spacious bed, everything in walking distance, optional massage! We even had an Expedia agent downstairs to answer all our questions and to book trips to the other islands. It doesn't get much better than that!

Date of Stay: 05/08/10 Review Submitted: 05/20/10

My fiance (now husband) and I recently stayed at this condo. This is the first time that I booked a place on Vrbo.com. After I sent Tracy the deposit, I was really nervous that this is a scam. I couldn't even sleep for a couple days. First, the price was too good to be true. Second, sometimes I feel that Tracy was not very responsive to my emails. Like when I responded to her email. I was hoping that she would respond back saying thanks or something like that, kind of acknowledging my email. Now I realized, I was being too paranoid. Sometimes people are busy and they don't have the time to do that. Don't let this get to you. Tracy is a very sweet lady once you meet her. I was too paranoid that I even made a reservation with one of the hotels for backup, incase when my husband & I arrived, if there is no Tracy then we can still have a place to stay. One day out of the blue, Tracy emailed me to confirm something. At that moment, I immediately feel better. I knew that she was real then I canceled the reservation I made with the other place. I don't regret my decision at all.. Everything that everyone wrote about this place is true. Go for it if you haven't already done so.. Sorry for the long post, but I just wanted to express my experience...

Owner response:Tina congrats to you and your new husband..I'm glad that you had a lovely wedding and honeymoon..Thank you for staying at Room 223 Waikiki

My Fiance and I were headed to Oahu for a wedding and stumbled upon this ad. We were staying two hotels from the rest of the wedding group for more than $100.00/night less! We loved having the mini fridge, microwave, and toaster - it meant that we didn't have to eat out every meal and could bring back our left-overs for lunch the next day. The unit is within walking distance to the beach, marina, the main drag of Waikiki, shops, restaurants, and tons of ABC Stores! Tracy was AMAZING! She really made us feel at home and went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable. It was our first VRBO experience and one we will never forget! Tracy, we are telling all ouf our friends and family about your unit.... If any of them happen upon a trip to Hawaii, they will definitely be calling you. Mahalo! :) Sara & Dustin

We did not have to get ant extras for hang out at the beach. It was the best deal. The most importanly, the bed was so comfortable. I felt bad for leaving my bf since he had to work. But My friend, my son and I had the best time. mahalo Tracy!

We have visited Oahu 8 times but Traceys unit is the best value ever,We wre greated by Tracey who is s lovely friendly lady. The unit is just right for a couple or 3 people the KING sized bed was so comfy and the big soft pillows made sleeping so easy.Bathroom was excellent. The whole unit was so clean and lots of spare soft fluffy towels we could not fault it.The bus and shuttles stop at the door.We had 2 stays dec 9th to dec 22 then returned Jan 2nd till Jan 14th Tracey even picked us up on our return. We will definetley return to Traceys unit on our next visit. Thanks tracey for making our holiday so relaxing. Stayed during Christmas 2010 and really loved this place! I actually got engaged just down on the beach (which was only 2 blocks away!) The pool was a nice little treat and the fitness room allowed me to keep up with my routine while vacationing! Tracy was awesome and had beach chairs, beach towels, a beach bag and all kinds of extras for us! She even put a Christmas 'Palm Tree' in our room as we were showing up on Christmas Eve! There were chocolates and teas and plenty of treats in a welcome basket. The Ala Moana mall was within walking distance and there were a few great sushi places nearby as well as a little grocery store just 5 minutes walk away. This is an ideal place to stay! I highly recommend it!

WOW! Truly a heavenly experience! Tracy greeted us with smiles, chocolates and a stunning room that overlooks trees with white doves! She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The amenities provided are very impressive. The room is so pretty, clean, well stocked and blissfully quiet. All within a block or less is the beach, rental car service, bus service, restaurants, shopping and inexpensive public parking by the marina. Sweetest deal in Oahu hands down!

Owner response:Jeannie thank you for sending your friend our way and thank you for staying with us..

Tracy welcomes you like family and personally settles you into the coziest Waikiki condo for 1 or 2 people that you can imagine. Every detail has been lovingly attended to and the location truly cannot be surpassed. If you like peaceful with a magnificent view and mere moments from the best beach in Waikiki, this is definitely the place for you. Please don't hesitate -- this is a treasure of a find !! When you sink into the deliciously comfy king-sized bed, soft fragrant breezes caress you. In the morning, birds serenade you, gently rousing you into another delightful day in paradise. Love my Waikiki nest and I'm counting the days to be back !!

Thank you, Tracy. We had a great week. Your condo has all that is needed. close to everything, shopping, restaurants and the beach is a 5 min walk. Your attention to the details, like beach towels, chairs and welcome gift, made our trip feel like a vacation at a friends house. Thanks again!

Owner response:Thank you for staying with us, hope to see you again some day

Thanks to Tracy and her terrific accomodations, we have just spent the last 10 days in beautiful Waikiki while relaxing in Tracy's getaway. The acomodations were perfect and having all the beach towels, chairs, boogie boards and so much more to use is an added touch. For the price you can not go wrong. Book now since once this gem gets out there wont be availablitly.
