The Chickadee Suite is an immaculately kept, fully-equipped Suite that has a lovely view of Cadillac Mountain from the back deck.
Your private entrance passes by one of our gardens often visited by the ruby-throated hummingbird and many chickadees.

A charming spotless upscale suite with full amenties, bring nothing but your suitcase. The wonderful owners have thought of everything you need for your stay. Nature lovers will enjoy the abundance of wildlife. We really enjoyed watching the deer feed in the backyard. We would highly recommend this suite for your vacation get away. Thank you Kevin and Donna for making our stay so enjoyable.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+.

My wife and I stayed at the Chickadee Suite for 2 days recently, a combined shopping, sightseeing, and weekend getaway trip. This place was immaculate, very well outfitted, and conveniently located close to Bar Harbor. Donna and Kevin were great. Thanks so much, we hope to return someday again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Cannot say enough the "chick-a dee" suite was extremely the cleanest place we ever stayed, very "comfy" and "homey". Everything was perfect.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.

We had a great time in Bar Harbor and highly reocmmend the Humingbird Suites. The owners were very accomodating and the apartment was well appointed. They even provide guests with the use of two bikes, incluiding helmets and a bike rack for your car. It is a ways out of town, so you do need a car, which was not a problem for us.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

THE HUMMINGBIRD SUITES As I sit here on the back deck of my suite sipping my tea The morning sun peaks over the roof to warm and greet me In the distance Cadillac Mountain is raising its bald head above the trees And I am surrounded by hummingbirds and chickadees The scent of flowers and pines fill the air I don't have a single care The place I am staying has two quiet suites that are as clean as pins And I highly recommend them over the Bar Harbor Inn's They are located just a few miles from downtown Bar Harbor on Highway 3 Which is most convenient as you will see If and when I come back to Maine I will stay here again I highly recommend them over any Bar Harbor Inn You can take it from me the place is hard to beat And they call the place the Hummingbird SuiteDid you find this review helpful? About the owner: Donna and I built Hummingbird Suites ourselves and named it after Donna's favorite bird. Kevin works at a local genetic research facility and Donna is a beautician and runs her own Salon. Kevin is from Florida and Donna from Massachusetts.
Why the Owner Chose Bar Harbor:
We live so close to the national park and we had so many friends from other States always wanting to stay with us because of the beauty and so many outdoor activities that we decided it was a great location for a vacation rental.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
Hummingbird Suites is only one mile from the National Park and yet close to town but you don't have to fight the traffic of an in-town location. Also we have plenty of parking which can be quite an issue in town. Our favorite activity is watching the numerous hummingbirds that spend their summers here at the Suites visiting a variety of flowers in our gardens.
