I wanted to take a moment to thank you. We have been coming to the area for many years. Have been fortunate to stay in some really nice places. Your house was second to none. We really enjoyed looking at your family photos. It was interesting piecing the old photos together. They tell a story about your family and the obvious love it has for your place. The house is VERY well laid out. In fact we were amazed at the thought that surely has been spent in the organizing the house. We had an outstanding week! My youngest daughter had a very successful tournament. She also had the experience of a lifetime while paddling among a huge group of Dolphin. The fishing was the best ever. We caught monster Kings each morning from our Kayaks. This directly behind the house. I could go on and on. Each in our party had a story to tell. The extra night that you afforded was the very definition of Southern Hospitality. It was more than appreciated after a long and hot day at the ball park. Thank you Nancy! 7/16 -7/23 2011Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My family of 5 and my brother-in-law's family of 6 just completed our annual family vacation in Panama City Beach, FL. WOW. What a vacation. The living conditions far exceeded our expectations. Two families living together for a week can be interesting. Nonetheless, Nancy's house was exactly what we needed. Everyone had their own sleeping arrangements. The kitchen is huge, more than enough seating for dinners; plenty of couches and love seats for everyone to comfortably seat around the TV. The best part of the house is the back patio. Lounge chairs, umbrellas, tables etc. to make your morning sunrise or evening sunset unforgetable. Nancy does a great job ensuring that no vistor goes without. We had plenty of beach umbrellas, beach chairs, kayak, fishing poles, beach toys, boogie boards etc. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates, silverware, pots, pans etc. The bedrooms were extremely clean, comfortable, and spacious. The location is perfect. We were 4.4 miles west of the main action of Panama City Beach...away from the chaos...but close enough to get to it if we wanted to. Winn Dixie (frequent trips) was only 1.4 miles away. The backyard was perfect. Nancy has two hoses to wash the sand off of your feet/legs prior to going into the house. My son and I had ample room to throw a baseball in the backyard over looking the beach/ocean (which is only a few feet away). I could go on and on......When my family visits Panama City again...Nancy will get a call from us. I could not have picked a nicer person to deal with or a nicer place to stay...Thank you Nancy.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family recently spent a full week at this lovely property. The location was perfect for our large group. The accommodations worked fine for us all, even with two toddlers and our small dog. The beds are comfortable and the deck overlooking the beautiful beach was a great place to gather in the evening as well as for all to relax during the day. The house is a short distance from grocery stores and other shopping, but far enough away from the mass of hotels to feel quiet and peaceful. We hope to return again for a future vacation. Thank you, Nancy and Stan, for being so gracious and easy to work with…and sharing your wonderful beach home with us this summer.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family stayed in this wonderful rental 7/11-7/18/09. The house and guest house are amazing! Right on the beach with great amenities. Nancy was extremely nice and accommodating. I am sure we will be back again. Oh, and as a side note to the future renters, approximately 9/15 or soon thereafter roughly 150 sea turtles will be hatching on the beach right by the house! Wish we could be there for that!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Patty and I have stayed in the Generals Quarters on several occasions and it is one of the most coziest of cottages on the most beautiful beach in all the world...you would have to use your passport to find anything comparable to this beach and cottage, 50 yards from the deck of this wonderful family compound...you will come back if you ever stay...and if you tell too many friends it will stay booked up...check it out... Your family will absolutely love it... Charlie Renfroe Seaside, Florida/Atlanta, Ga.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

I have personally stayed in this fabulous ocean front cottage on many occasions...it is a cozy, private, inviting cottage 25 yards from the ocean...the sunsets are awesome and spectacular, the beds are most comfortable, as it is furnished for the pleasure of the owners...and the view from the kitchen while cooking supper is breathtaking...you will not be sorry that you stayed in the "5-Star, Generals Quarters." ps...there are more grocery stores, wine stores, starbucks, and wonderful family restaurants within 2 miles than you have time to visit...Did you find this review helpful?
