You'll love this swanky beach retreat with panoramic ocean views from Catalina Island to Malibu! Dolphins can be seen nearly every day playing in the waves amongst the surfers. The bird's eye view also allows for great people watching on the strand. The lower corner unit is available in this 'all vacation rental' tri-plex in North Manhattan Beach also known as "El Porto".
This is a studio apartment with a 'Murphy bed', one bathroom beach front unit which sleeps two adults comfortably. By daytime, the living area has 16 feet of view windows and is furnished with a chocolate leather sofa and contemporary wicker chairs for relaxing. The fully equipped kitchenette includes a mini fridge, microwave and a full set of dishes and flatware. At night, draw the blinds, pull the Murphy bed down to transform the living area into a bedroom.
This oceanfront pad is located directly on "The Strand", which is a walking path or "promenade" that runs along the beach for several miles. Centrally located only 3 miles south of LAX, several Los Angeles attractions are just a short drive away (Disneyland, Hollywood, Queen Mary, Rodeo Drive, Venice; all within 45 minutes). Many popular restaurants, fun bars and exceptional shopping boutiques are within walking distance.
A recent remodel includes all new windows, a giant sliding glass door facing the ocean, new bamboo floors, all new furniture, new recessed lighting, new queen sized bed with comfy memory foam topper, new flat screen TV, all new linens & much more. This unit comes with ample overnight parking (permit provided) and also has non-metered street parking within 25 feet. Wireless internet, free laundry, BBQ grill, beach chairs, beach cruisers, boogie boards and beach towels also included.

Manhattan Beach....It's quiet, it's clean, it's safe - it's a very upscale community. You can walk almost everywhere. It's close to LA and all of it's attractions.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
This particular section of the Strand is about 30 feet above sea level which translates into amazing views on any level of the house. You see so much more blue water because youre a little above it all. Plus you see everything that happens on the beach for miles north and miles south. Its truly common to see dolphins from the house while youre eating breakfast and kayakers paddeling the coast line and pelicans making a dive for fish and always plenty of surfers carving the waves from sunrise to sunset.

Great experience - to be recommended! The previous reviews of this house say and it all speaks for itself. we at this point can only emphasize that all positive data were real. We spent 2 weeks in the studio apartment and have enjoyed every second. The outlook is fantastic - LOCATION IS EVERYTHING - you can hear the ocean and does not need a TV / Radio more :). We also hear any noise or otherwise. Simply brilliant! The house is very well equipped. Gas grill, Bicycles, beach bikes, beach chairs, washing machine, Dryer etc. We missed nothing and be hopefully back soon. The landlord is very nice and helpful. is also his housekeeper Rosario truly a treasure and very thorough. Quite a great vacation. Thank you!

I live in Manhattan Beach and put my parents up in the studio when they came to visit. I know the neighborhood well and the value of the properties start at 5 million on the Strand. So this was such a great value for my parents to be able to experience the "Strand Life" at the cost of a chain motel room's price. Brendhan was friendly, efficient and very welcoming to my folks. The place was clean, well equipped, stylish and obviously the view is incredible! This is my new "oceanfront guest room" for all my out of town visitors!

We stayed in this Studio over the Christmas period and it was great. Perfect for couples with no kids. Right on the beachfront, and location wise you cannot get any better. The facilities were great too, enough towels, kitchen equipment, bikes, beach towels, beach equipment, sun chairs etc. We were amazed at how much equipment we could borrow and we certainly took advantage of it! We have family who live nearby so definately a place we will be coming back to!

After an almost two-week road-trip to AZ, NV and CA, we enjoyed 6 days in the Studio on The Strand. It is a great base to either hang around the beach or see what you need to see in LA. The studio is homey, very well furnished and equipped, and clean. Things like bikes, beach beach-games, sunshades, or iron were available in the garage. If you love the ocean, amazing sunsets, and a many restaurant opportunities - this is a great deal, I think - we'd come again!

Our 2 weeks in the studio was amazing. The studio apartment was perfectly appointed and had the most amazing view. Brendhan was a pleasure to deal with and even helped me find an amazing surf camp for my 11 year old. The camp drop off was right in front of the studio. It was so easy and I could watch my daughter surf while relaxing in the studio! Rosario (the housekeeper extraordinaire!) is a sweetheart and made sure that we were settled in comfortably upon our arrival. Looking forward to returning soon to MB and staying there again!

We had a fabulous holiday on Manhatten Beach...the studio apartment was well appointed with amazing views...and in close proximity to some fabulous restaurants. The beach cruisers were an added bonus as there were some great cycleways... Brendhan was the perfect host .... If we are ever back in LA we will definately stay again.

Perfect, it couldn't have been better. We stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed every minute. The studio is fully equipped and on a prime location at the beach. We could even see the dolphins from our window. Brendhan and Rosario are super hosts. We will be back, very soon. Perfekt, es haette nicht besser sein koennen. Wir hatten die Möglichkeit 2 wunderschöne Woche im Studio zu verbringen und genossen jede Minute. Das Studio ist voll ausgerüstet und direkt am Strand gelegen. Wir konnten sogar Delfine vom Fenster aus beobachten. Brendhan und Rosario sind super Gastgeber. Wir werden sicher bald zurueckkommen. Jan & Kathrin

This was a 6-night romantic getaway for us and we had a blast! The studio was perfect in every way, and was comfy and clean! We loved that we were able to cook with the provided portable stove top or the BBQ , but were walking/biking distance to good place to eat also! (We fell in love with Sharkeez in Hermosa Beach their happy hour is an amazing deal and their food is sooo good!) Being literally right on the strand was perfect for a morning job, or convenient for a bike ride, which we did a lot of. We did surfing lessons right in front of the studio, and didnt have to drive anywhere, and also spent a day on Catalina Island zip lining so much fun! Brendhan was an amazing host and made the reservation process super easy, and was very helpful! Also thanks for the fast refund of the deposit! We will be back next year, I think we found our new vacation spot =) 5+ Stars!

We spent four nights in the studio unit earlier this month, and it was exactly what I was hoping for. The location is amazing...right on the Strand and steps from the beach. The unit is spotless and well appointed with nice towels, bedding, dishes, furniture and a flat panel TV. We made good use of the bikes and beach gear in the garage. There is a wetsuit rental place just up the street that rents full-body suits for $10 a day, and plenty of walkable places to grab a bite to eat or a bottle of wine. If you are craving the sights and sounds of the ocean, this is the PERFECT location and a completely hassle free vacation. Quick cab ride from LAX and you don't have to pack anything..Brendhan has this place stocked up with everything you need to enjoy the beach.

My fiancee and I stayed in this studio unit and are already planning our return visit! Not only was the unit perfectly situated on the Strand with wonderful ocean sounds right outside the front door, and well equipped and comfortable, but we also had bikes to be able to ride up and down the Strand and excellent service/support from the owner.
