Twisted Laurel is a convenient yet secluded mountainside retreat located between Boone and Blowing Rock off Hwy 321. Enjoy picturesque views of the mountains while dining inside or while sitting in the hot tub on your back deck. Stay cozy by the wood burning fireplace or get outside to nearby slopes or hiking trails and enjoy the outdoors. The cottage is convenient to Blowing Rock and Boone for excellent dining and shopping. Walking trails are located within 1/2 mile of the property.

The house has a roomy master bedroom, and a second bedroom with queen size beds. A third bedroom is equipped with a set of bunk beds. The home is ideal for a family or two couples. A full kitchen is available for eating in and linens are provided for convenience. There are two living areas and a dining room with a mountain view.

Renovations have just been completed. They include hardwood floors in the main living area, kitchen and hall, a 30 x 10 foot deck with a hot tub, and resurfacing of a second deck that also offers very nice views. Additional photos have also been added.

4-wheel drive or chains recommended for winter season.

  • We stayed there for five nights during the fall foliage season, and it was wonderful. We had everything we needed, and more. The view from the decks was beautiful, and the beds were super comfortable. We enjoyed a wood burning fire every night. It was an awesome trip, and we miss it. Hope to come back again when we can stay longer.

  • The house is fantastic. Plenty of room and convenient to everything in the High Country of NC. I went seeking peace and quiet and found it. the house has plenty of amenities so everything was easy. The beds are very comfortable.

  • My husband and I took my parents and our 2 boys to the mountains and stayed at this lovely house. It was perfect. The kids loved the outdoors..plenty of room to play. My parents loved the hot tub. It was perfect and cozy and close to all the attractions. I really didn't want to leave.

  • I stayed for 4 weeks and DID NOT want to leave! I absolutely love this house. Perfect location - beteween Blowing Rock and Boone. I had a friend come and another time my sister and her 2 boys and they all loved it. The house had a pretty garden, the beds are comfy and relaxing on the deck was the best. The owners are very accomadating too. I will definitely be back!!!
