Located just across the street from the Intracoastal Waterway and ocean beyond. A scenic two-minute drive along the waterway and over the charming swing bridge takes you out to the beach island of Sunset Beach. A family friendly barrier.
Sunset Beach boasts of over 100 gold courses within a 40-mile radius. The most desirable courses include Oyster Bay, Sea Trail, The Pearl and Panther's Run.
Sunset Beach is only 5 minutes from Calabash, the seafood capitol of the world with numerous restaurants for your dining pleasure.
Bird Island, which is a 1,300 acre state preserve on the barrier island, is connected to Sunset Beach and reachable by boat, walking or biking along the beach and is home to Loggerhead Turtles for nature lovers. There is a free public parking area at the beach (look for gazebo) and path to the beach.
Remember, Myrtle Beach is within a 30-minute drive with shows, nightlife, dining, golf, mini-golf, racetracks, amusement rides and shopping to please everyone!
