We are looking for someone to enjoy staying in our furnished, mountain-top home in the hills of north San Diego County.
This is simply “the best view in Escondido”, sitting on over 7 acres of avocado, guava and citrus groves. The property is nestled within a gated community with pool, tennis and nature trails. The home features 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a 3 car garage, formal dining room, large eat in kitchen/den and a large living room with 72 inch HDTV entertainment system. Add the spa on a gorgeous patio with a spectacular starlight view of the mountains to the north and all of Escondido in the valley to the south, and you may never want to leave!
All of this is located within 5 minutes of all the retail goods and services you would expect to find in a town of 140,000. Home to the San Diego Wild Animal Park, Escondido is only 30 minutes from downtown San Diego, beautiful beaches, and the famous resort town of La Jolla.
Just 45 minutes to the east are 6000-foot alpine mountains and the majestic desert lands beyond. Snow skiing resorts are only a 2½-hour drive north. Average temperatures in Escondido are delightful, ranging from 52 to 77 daily, and sunshine prevails year round.

Very peaceful, very private, and well-appointed. Our first reaction upon arrival was "Wow!", as the home and property were even more impressive than the photos depict. We were fortunate enough to be in the home over Independence Day, and were able to watch fireworks displays from surrounding cities, as well as in the valley below. Location is far enough from the hustle and bustle of the beaches to get in some serious relaxing, and close enough to the coast to keep the kids happy. It is a very short trip south to San Diego and Coronado, and equally easy to visit Laguna Beach to the north, although I was hard-pressed to ever leave the sanctity of my private mountain top. The home overlooks a gated community with easy access to very well-kept tennis courts and a pool, and the hot tub on site is a must-use every day. I could go on and on, but I don't want too much competition in booking it for next time!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
