Beautiful, new, country home with full amenities - located on a private road. You will enjoy the sun streaming in as this home has grand southern exposures. The house sits next to lovely woods with private walking trails, on a cove, on Lake Damariscotta. This home has an open living design - perfect for a gathering of family and friends, with a fully equipped kitchen. Everything for active guests, who are ready for water sports and hikes or relaxing by the lake. The lake is down a short, clear path through beautiful woods. A full dock, beach chairs and kayaks are all at the lakefront, ready for your use. A great place for kids to safely explore the woods. Master bedroom with vaulted wood ceiling is spacious enough for a crib or playpen and includes a sitting area and office nook.
Evenings may include a campfire in the fire pit with s'mores, competitions at the Ping Pong table, listening to loons and star gazing. Trips to towns include Damariscotta or Augusta, 20 minutes away or 30 minutes to Camden and Rockland. Ocean drive to Round Pond, New Harbor and Pemiquid include lobster pounds, lighthouse and sandy beach, with antiques and art galleries all along the way. A five minute drive will take you to a farm stand with fresh vegetables and farm raised meats. There is a country store down the road three miles for essentials.
Damariscotta Lake is 14 miles long, terrific for all water sports. Kayaks provide perfect access to get you close to nature and see the loons and turtles. Cove provides sheltered location for quiet enjoyment and easy swimming. Sandy beach at Damariscotta Lake State Park.

I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to enjoy their vacation in a beautiful, spotless, comfortable, spacious, well equipped home in a fabulous location with water access. I have rented several houses in Mid Coast Maine over the past several years and this is hands down one of the best. This house exceeded our expectations. The amenities are fabulous, especially the kayaks and the dock. The family of loons on the lake were just an added delight! The owners are extremely helpful in answering all questions and concerns in a timely manner. Don't even think twice about this fabulous place!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This home was fabulous, everything just as depicted. The owner was a joy to work with and the house was even better than I had expected. We had a great family vacation week there, fishing off the dock, swimming in the lake and enjoying the beauty and peace and quiet! Many great places are only a short drive away, Boothbay Harbor for whale watching is something I highly reccomend, as is walking the breakwater out to the lighthouse at Rockland. I would reccomend this home to anyone looking to vacation in Maine! The rooms are spacious, the house is well equipped, and really allows for a great famiy time together!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.
