Bear Paw cabin is in a great location, only 5 min. to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Everything about the cabin was nice. My husband and I enjoyed the game room as well as the hot tub. It was very clean and had a great view of the mountains. I would definitely stay here again!!

The cabin was hard to find at first, but after we found it, it was easy to get to. The cabin is only about 5 or 6 minutes from Pigeon Forge, or Gatlinburg, which ever way you decide to go you are in good shape. The cabin seems like it is way out in the woods, but is actually very close to town, its just nicely tucked away. The Beds were very nice and clean. Cabin was in very clean / good shape. LOVED the pool table, and the rest of the games around the house. It was nice to come to a rental and find dishes and cooking spices and what nots. All and all, the cabin was wonderful, the location was AWSOME, and the price was very nice for the location.

Bear Paw was one of the best cabins we have stayed in!! Excellent views and privacy. Just needs a decent grill, the parkside grill didn't cut it.LOL. Kitchen needs more lighting and was poorly stocked but we had fun making do with what was there!! The hot tub was awesome, that's where we spent most of our time, relaxing!!! Great cabin for the price and location was awesome!!! Barb and Rick were quick to answer any questions I had before our stay, nice people!!! Thanks for sharing your cabin with us and we look forward to staying again!!!

Very cute and as described. We had a wonderful vacation in "the mountains". Loved relaxing by the fireplace or in the hot tub. Perfect location and beautiful views. The loft with the game tables, kitchen play area for the kids and a chest full of games was awesome! The beds were super comfy and we slept great! We had an unfortunate experience with the cleanliness of the cabin. On arrival, it was very dirty with sticky residue all over the floors (like a young child had run rampant through the cabin with a sticky drink and spilled it everywhere). There was visible dirt, debris, and crumbs on the floor and counters respectively. I will not describe the condition of the toilets but you can imagine. We contacted the owners and they were very upset about it and attempted to resolve the issue that day but were unable to (this was obviously a cleaning company issue). The owners offered to have the cabin cleaned the day after we got there. The cleaning company reported to the owners that they had re-cleaned the cabin but in fact did not. I ended up having to clean up the worst of it myself so we could settle in. I don't go on vacation to have to clean... Another issue with the hot tub later in our stay was resolved promptly by the owners. They are very quick to answer emails and phone calls. The owners were gracious and refunded our cleaning fee although they did not release us from our contract and refund or rental fee as we requested so we were forced to stay and make the best of the situation.

We soon enjoyed our first time staying at Bear Paw cabin. The views were breath-taking from the cabin. It was so beautiful outside and in,we were very comfortable and loved just staying at the cabin Rick and Barb were always a phone call away. It was so nice to drive to the nearby attractions, we recommend the Aquarium too!!! There was so much to do and chocies and dinning too. But we mostly enjoyed our nights at the cabin relaxing!!!!

We stayed at this cabin for the first time, 2 weeks ago, for my birthday. The cabin was absolutely beautiful with breathtaking views! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while visiting the Gatlinburg area. The cabin was VERY CLEAN and WELL MAINTAINED. The owners are AWESOME and very helpful with any questions/concerns you may have while staying at the cabin. We would definatley reccomend this cabin to friends and family. If your in the area, we highly reccomend going to Bennett's B-Que, they have the best ribs and burgers around! Thank you Rick and Barb for sharing your cabin with us! We definately want to visit again, very soon!

A small but nice log cabin. However, this cabin does not have room in the kitchen or bath for supplies. Hot did not heat up nor did it have the proper level of pool chemicals. Also, the sewar pipe was disconnected to the residence and after a few days the area was filled with sewar causing the area to smell badly. Please consult closely with this owner before booking.
Owner response:The cabin is approx. 1100 sq' the cabin sleeps 4-6 people comfortably, with a full open kitchen to the living area. We are absentee owners and we were not aware of the pipe issue at the time of this guest stay, it was mentioned upon guest departure and immediately resolved! Please review the prior guest comments before this guest arrival date and after guest departure date. Thank You, Rick & Barb

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Three boys age 6, 8 and 12 had a blast in the game room inside and outside in the woods around the cabin. . It was good for a quick two night stay. We were trying to save money on the trip by eating in. If we had stayed longer, I would have wanted to have more kitchen cooking supplies and towels than those that were provided. That's an easy fix and doesn't take away from the overall amenities this cabin offers.

What a beautiful and comfy cabin! The views are amazing. Our family had a wonderful time Bear Paw. The kids loved it - especially the game room. The owners are kind, extremely helpful, and are timely in response to any questions you may have. The cabin, while secluded, is very conveniently located to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We will definitely stay at Bear Paw again for our next family vacation in the Smokys! Can't wait to return!!

What a great place to stay, so comfy and cozy, especially bedroom with fireplace. Really nice and clean and lots of extras for entertainment from the young(toddlers) the in between and the adults. Just everyone. My grandkids really enjoyed playing with the kitchen set and the adults playing pool and foosball. Location of cabin couldn't be any better. In between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg--close to everything. I would recommend this cabin for anyone. Looking forward to staying here again.

I spent hours on the internet searching out this GEM. My wife and I (Seniors) had been to Gatlinburg in 1998 and always wanted to return. I found this GEM with only two days left open in Oct., I jumped on it and we were so pleased. The location and seclusion were perfect, the cabin included all the ammenities one would desire. The place was clean, comfortable and included JACUZZI and HOT TUB. Oh, and the view was wonderful. We will be returning.

My family had a very good time at bear claw cabin. Everything was as was expected from the pictures and info on the web site. The owners were so very kind and helpful. We called on them a couple of times left messages then heard back from them in a timely manner. They were there to answer any questions or concerns. We would highly reccommend the cabin for the view from every window, the peacefullness, the helpfullness of the owners, location, close but not in the hustle of town. We will try to return for another fun vacation.

Bear Paw is the perfect retreat for anyone of any age and any occasion! Photos cannot capture the real beauty of this perfect hideaway. Rick and Barb were very helpful in assisting us with all of our needs and questions. We got married and spent our honeymoon there. It was very clean, cozy, and well furnished. The beds were extremely comfy. We thoroughly enjoyed both the outdoor hot tub and the indoor heart-shaped jacuzzi. (Both had waterfalls!) We also had fun playing pool, foosball, and air hockey. It was sad to leave. We would love to go back and visit again.

Our stay at Bear Paw was absolutely "PERFECT"!! My husband and I were celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary and we couldn't have picked a better place. The jacuzzis were incredible including the indoor heart jucuzzi and the electric fireplace in the bedroom made it very romantic! The bed was so super comfy not like most rental places. We couldn't believe the upstairs gameroom had everything you could think of to entertain! Bear Paw is way more incredible than the photos show. My family will definitely be back!! Thanks to Rick and Barb for sharing your beautiful cabin for such a reasonable price!!

It was one of the best vacations we have ever taken. The drive up the mountains to the house was so pretty! The cabin is beautiful and very well kept. We had seen the photos of it but they certainly didn't do it the justice it deserves. The little spiral staircase leading to the gameroom....very nice touch. The gameroom was bigger than I thought it would be and that bedroom upstiars....wow...the view is amazing... The master bedroom was so cozy and that bed...omg....that bed just cradles you!!! We felt very "at home". The kitchen has everything you need ...just buy food. Cant wait to go back!! I think we are going for the changing of the leaves... Maybe our friendly bear that scared the crap out of us will pay us another visit...LOL Awesome vacation spot!!!!

We stayed at Bear Paw for our 1st anniversary trip. We've rented cabins in the Smokies on 7 different occasions and this cabin is BY FAR the best place we've stayed. It has an awesome view of the mountains with perfect sunsets. The inside of the cabin is decorated with awesome cabin decor to top off a great experience. The cabin location provides a very short drive to either Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. We even had a wildlife experience with a friendly raccoon one night on the front porch. Outdoor hot tub, indoor jacuzzi tub, 2nd floor balcony, foosball table, pool table, air hockey table, WIFI, Cable TV, AWESOME view, and a perfect location... what more could you ask for?! We will DEFINITELY check Bear Paw first for any future trips and will for sure be back as soon as possible.

The cabin was just as good as the pictures. It is very secluded with a great view out the front of the cabin overlooking the mountains. You have the feeling of being totally away from everything but yet you are only 10-15 minutes away from Pigeon Forge. This cabin was very clean and well kept and had everything we needed for a perfect couples getaway. The game room in the loft and even miniature kitchen and games would make it an ideal place to bring the whole family. This was our first time getting a cabin but will not be our last, and if it is in the Pigeon Forge area we will be right back in Bear Paw. Rick and Barb were great to deal with and we will be recommending Bear Paw to all our friends.

The cabin was beautiful and clean! It had all the amenities we could ever want: hot tub, jacuzzi, pool table, air hockey, foosball, privacy, beautiful views and cable! We saw a raccoon on our front porch one night, but no bears unfortunately! The narrow steep roads leading up to the cabin were scary at first, but once we got used to it we were fine. The only downside was that the water turned off a few times. We were unable to get in the beautiful waterfall jacuzzi for a couple of nights because everytime we tried to fill it up, the water would turn off. The maintenance guy walked us through the steps to fix it though. Besides that, it was great! We would definitely return to this nice, secluded and CLEAN cabin. Thanks!

We had an Incredable time. Cabin was very clean and roomy (me,my wife and 5kids). Views were great, (my wife was kinda scared on the tiny mountain roads) and everyone we met was friendly. We only had one small problem but Jimmy the maintence guy fixed it quick and gave me his direct # if any more problems arose. wireless internet worked great and well everything was perfect. We will definately return, (no one wanted to leave). very peaceful, this was our 1st cabin rental (my wife is a big city girl) and it couldn't have been better. thanks again Ken

This was the first time we stayed in a cabin, and it was wonderful. The cabin was very clean, well maintained, all the amenities you could ask for, and it felt like a home away from home. My favorite part was the beautiful Christmas decorations. The owners were wonderful to work with, I must have asked them a thousand questions through email and they responded to everyone of them asap, also they called us on the day of our arrival and gave us our code and told us if we had any problems let them know. We will definently be back. Thank you for making our first cabin experience one we will never forget.

We spent 5 nights at this cabin in September of 2009. We brought along our 4 and 1 year old. They called it the "big" house. We had 2 raccoons that would visit us frequently on the front porch, which was really cool. The boys enjoyed watching them through the windows. This was such a beautiful cabin with spectacular views. First of all, the cabin is just as beautiful as the pictures show!! Very clean with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. After we arrived and got settled, I started to use my computer, but was unable to access the internet. After trying for a while, I called Barb and she called the provider and within just a few minutes, I was up and running. What a surprise!! Then, the hot tub decided to make an awful noise all night, so I called again - and again the next day the hot tub was fixed and running perfectly. Now that is what I would call a good landlord. I'm sure that these were not ordinary problems, but what a pleasure it was to have someone who would take care of whatever happened so quickly. Our stay was wonderful and we will definitely return when we can. "

The cabin has spectacular views and for us was perfect because we were honeymooners and wanted to spend time alone. I loved the waterfall Jacuzzi. I highly recommend the cabin. I thought we got a lot for our money. I definitely will go back!
