Everything about this house was just as described and then some. The living space was wonderful. Having the separate living room and family room gave us plenty of space to spread out. The rooms were clean, cheery and comfortable and having five bathrooms was an extra plus. We are 4 generations so having all this space on one level was a real asset for some of us who have trouble navigating stairs. The house is well stocked with everything you could possible need, especially for families with young children...bikes for riding, kites for flying, games for all ages, beach and pool gear and an incredibly well-equipped kitchen which enabled us to enjoy a lovely Christmas dinner without having to buy anything except the food. We're not new to vacation rentals and I will say this was probably our best experience. The owners were helpful and available. We had a small issue with the pool pump but one phone call to the owners was all that was needed to bring the pool man to our aid. We would recommend this rental any time and hope to have the opportunity to come back again.

My family and 2 other families had the pleasure of renting this house for a long weekend and felt like we were at home! It was just as the pictures portrayed it to be. Not only was the kitchen completely stocked so we could relax and cook in the evenings, the garage had a huge variety of equipmnet for fun and games. We visit St. Simons freguently and hope to stay in this house again. The owners were so nice and especially understanding when we had to leave one night early due to the death of my mother. I highly recommend this house.

Family Vacation - August 2010

My husband and I took our adult children, spouses, and grandchildren for a week in August to this great home. It was so comfortable, well furnished and perfect for a large family. Not only was the kitchen furnished well, there were coolers, wagons, bikes, life jackets, sand toys and anything you would need in the garage. There was a huge supply of beach towels. The house was very well separated for multiple families. The owner was most helpful in answering my questions via email before our arrival. The house was clean and well maintained. The village had several family oriented restaurants which were very good. I would recommend this house to anyone.

Great beach house well located on the island,just a short walk to the beach or the beautiful marshes I don't think any of the amenities were missing. Even though our group consisted of 10 adults, we never felt crowded The house has spacious bedrooms and baths and afforded plenty of privacy The decor was lovely and so much nicer than you would expect. St. Simons offers so much more than a beach vacation. Savannah, Jekyl Island,Okefenokie Swamp, and the barrier islands are all great day trips if you can get the guys away from the golf courses and the Brunswick airport is only 15 minutes from the house which was great for some of our group flying from distant locations.

This house is perfect for a family vacation. It has plenty of room (and bathrooms) and is very child friendly. We had a wonderful time using the pool and taking walks and bike rides in the neighborhood. The house is close enough to the beach to walk and just a short ride to the pier. I would highly recommend this house to family and friends. The owners were fabulous to work with and very accommodating!

Our best beach vacation yet! Your home was so spacious for all 12 of us. It was very comfortable and decorated so nicely. You had everything there that we needed. The kids absolutely loved the pool and biking around the neighborhood. We enjoyed the privacy of the east beach so much. It was delightful! Thanks for sharing your home. What a wonderful vacation home. We stayed the week of 4th of July and had so much fun. The home has everything you could ask for. Plenty of room for our family of 9 to spread out and a large dinning room table for us to come together and have our annual Nightly game nights together. Great location near the beach and yet private enough not be near the crowds. If you are looking for a ranch vacation get away with a pool to accommodate a larger family, this is a great choice.

This is our favorite beach house. It’s in an ideal location on East Beach between the ocean and the spectacular marsh and the village is close enough to walk to if you choose. East Beach is a quiet neighborhood with sidewalks and slow moving traffic – great place for strolls. The house itself is the best part of all. It’s set under wonderful live oaks and has a pool in the courtyard that is very private. The kitchen is terrific and we love the tabby floors in the living and dining area. All of the bedrooms are great as well and I think at one time or another we’ve stayed in them all. Of all of the villas and rentals that we’ve ever stayed in, this one is our favorite.

We've had the pleasure of staying at this home numerous times over the past few years. It's an amazing home - light-filled and open with lots of room for everyone to find a private quiet spot. This house is incredibly well-appointed (wonderful art, furniture, linens, and decorations) while also being totally 'beach comfortable.' The private pool makes you feel as if you're staying at your own luxury villa, and the beach is an easy walk away. The ocean on East Beach is fascinating - high and low tide differ remarkably and my children have loved combing the beach for great 'finds' - from sand dollars to large shells. It's also a wonderful beach and town for bike riding, with many great restaurants nearby. However, we chose to cook in many nights because the fresh local seafood is fabulous and the kitchen of this house is as nice as our kitchen at home. I couldn't recommend this listing more highly.
