Sunset is a duplex home on private Lt. Island which is a tidal island totally accessible by car except at high tide when the water comes through the marsh and over the causeway. You are in close proximity to the Audubon Bird Sanctuary and the pathway for many migrating species. Sit and watch the osprey, swallows, finches and many other birds go by. Shellfish abound.
Great marshes and estuaries surround the island and the swimming is ideal in the bay around high tide. Low tide is for strolling, beachcombing and maybe oyster and clam hunting. National Seashore beaches are easily accessible, particularly Marconi which is 5 minutes away, just across the Cape Cod peninsula. Lots of other activities are close by as well, but you will want to spend much time just enjoying the view and comforts of the home and Lt. Island.
Sunset is quite large and comfortable with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The living room and outdoor deck is huge, allowing very comfortable relaxation and sunning. You look off to the west in a sweeping view from Jeremy Point and Great Island all the way to Indian Neck and Blackfish Creek. The house is extremely comfortable and decorated with the taste and uniqueness of its artist owner. All the modern comforts are at your fingertips. The kitchen is fully stocked. There is a high point of the dune just up from the house where there is a wonderful bench just waiting for you to enjoy watching the birds fly by, the changing of the tides and many a sunset. A short walk to the lower part of the dune will take you down to the beach and great swimming, water activities, shelling and just meandering.
