This condo was exactly as described. It was very clean and well worth the money. We stayed a week. It was a short walk to the beach. I went walking every morning and felt like it was a very safe area. I loved the decorations in the condo. It had everything you could think of. I loved that it had ceiling fans everywhere. The places that were recommended by Linda were all execellent places to eat. I also went to the German bakery, it had the best pasteries in town. Linda was very good at communicating with me. I will return again in the future and highly recommend this condo. Good luck getting it because I'm sure it gets booked often!

My husband and I needed a quick get away to the beach and the Lazy Starfish more than fit the bill. Let me start with the pricing. The value was exceptional, especially in comparison to hotel prices in the same area. We never had any trouble parking right next to the building where the condo is located on the second floor and very close to the pool. I must admit we only used the pool once during our 4 day stay but it was lovely, small but very nice after along day at the beach. The condo itself was lovely and perfect for my husband and I. One thing to be aware of if you are traveling with others is that there is no door to the bedroom for privacy. This was not an issue for us of course. The kitchen and bathroom were both well appointed with everything you could need and there were books and games as well. I loved the shower curtain in the bathroom with the pockets and would love to find one for home! There is a closet filled with useful items for the beach as well. As far as the area goes, the largest asset is the proximity to the beach. There is literally one complex between you and the beach. You can easily walk the block to the public beach or, if you are taking things with you, you can drive right across to the beach parking lot where there are bathrooms and showers to rinse off. Also on this beach are canopy and chair rentals (prices varied between 40-60 depending on closeness to the water). I would suggest bringing your own food if you don't want to leave the beach to eat as the local snack shack there is limited in choices and taste. The water there was lovely! This portion of the island is not as touristy so the number of restaurants is limited as compared to the other side but we enjoyed the atmosphere for our purposes. This was a lovely condo with great value and location and we highly suggest it. Linda made it easy and seems as laid back as the Lazy Starfish!

We stayed here for 7 days on our vacation this year (first week in August). This place was wonderful for us. Linda had it decorated very cute in blues, green & tan, the colors of the ocean and beach. It is bigger than it looks with plenty of room. The bed was very comfortable and the towels were very nice as well. We didn't cook much, but the kitchen seemed to be well-equipped. The beach was very close, walking distance if you actually wanted to walk. The pool was small, but nice enough for a little swim. We will definitely be back! Loved the relaxed atmosphere of North Padre. My suggestions for food: Padre Pizzaria (soooo good get the kitchen sink), the little chicken place by there wasn't bad for a quick meal, Snoopy's & Scoopy's. Also I recommend a visit to the Padre Island National Seashore, just beautiful and full of birds! Thanks again Linda!

The name tells it all we were "Lazy Starfish's"! The condo is everything it says it is. Very clean and well kept. The surroundings are very quite peaceful and close to the beach. Outsude deck in the evening was very nice. Star gazing was spectacular. Close to plenty of shopping and restraunts. I highly recommend this rental. I know I will be back! Thank You Linda......Kandi & Amy

We had a great time, and everything we needed was provided by homeowner! It looks nicer than the pictures. I came home wanting my house to look beachy, with all the colors of the beach. I slept better here than in my own home. It was very clean and neat. I hope to get to stay there again!!

We loved staying at this hideaway. Can't beat the location. We brought our bicycles and enjoyed riding up and down the beach with beers in the afternoon at Snoopy's Bar just two blocks away. Completely peaceful. A quite complex and the unit has all the amenities we needed. Contemporary decor and all the basics provided in the kitchen. Above-average towels and linens for the bed. Loved having the outdoor patio to relax as well. We walked to the beach (all of one block) with our fake log and built a fire on the beach for midnight - yes it was cold, but the fire and champagne made for the perfect night. The Lazy Starfish was all we expected. Very satisfied and we will return. - Happy Austinites

My family stayed here Aug. 16-20 as an alternative to a hotel during my daughter's TAMUCC orientation and move in. Everything was just as described and shown in the pictures! So clean, nicely decorated, cozy and comfortable. Linda, thank you SO MUCH for making this visit easy and pleasant. We will definitely be back when it's time to visit again. **This was the easiest, 'no surprises' rental experience our family has ever had!**

Just got finished with a quick family weekend. The condo was very clean and functional for the short stay. Linda was very easy to work with during the process. I do recommend the Padre Pizzaria, very good pizza and fast delivery. The beach was only a few minutes walk and very enjoyable. The complex was very quite except for two loud kids. Oh wait, those were mine!

Our stay here was so great we did not want to come back home. The pool was our home the whole time. So close and easy to get in and out. The weather was great which made the whole stay even better. The beach was literally right there. There is not enough room to write everything great about this place. VERY CLEAN!!! Home away from home. WE will be going back. Thanks Linda for such an easy transaction.

We really enjoyed our stay at "The Lazy Starfish condo. We went to Doc's for dinner one night with Scoops next door to Snoops for dessert and to Padre Pizza another, all within a 10 minute drive. We went to Bob Hall Pier and the Pelican (great nachos!) another night. The Texas Aquarium and USS Lexington are only about 30 minutes away. This condo was just as advertised, a short block from the public beach. Oh and the pool was great, we went every day! This condo is great for a couple or family with small children.

My family has stayed at the Lazy Starfish Hideaway for the last 2 years for our family vacation. We are again staying here this year! It's easy to get to, along the way you'll pass souvenir shops, restaurants, groc stores, malls, you name it. Once you're there, it's easy to get to the beach too! And when you get inside, it's decor is greens and sea blues, so you relax and unwind in no time at all!

My husband and I have stayed at the Lazy Starfish several times. We enjoyed each visit. The condo is very comfortable. Everything you need for a great vacation is included. It is within easy walking distance to the beach and boardwalk (maybe 200 yards). The nearby pool is also nice. Resturants, fast food places, souvenier shops, and grocery stores are close by. The lazy Starfish is a easy drive from San Antonio & Corpus. Two stop lights and your there.

I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely condo a few months ago. It was very well kept, close to the beach, several restaurants and places to shop. It was just what I needed for a nice get away weekend. The price was right and I hope to go there again very soon!

I have stayed here twice over the past few months and I have to say, it is the perfect little get away spot! I felt welcome from the moment I walked in and everything I needed was easy to find. The condo is so cute and comfy; I felt right at home immediately. The kitchen has all the dishes you need to prepare food as well as plenty of extras, like a blender for margaritas (yum) and a coffee pot (a necessity after margaritas) as well as a dishwasher for easy clean up before you leave. If you don’t feel like cooking, anything you could want is within a short drive, and there is a menu on the fridge for pizza delivery – some of the best pizza I’ve ever tasted! There are some great local restaurants nearby and if you feel like getting out, some fun clubs within a short drive as well. There are two convenience stores within a couple of blocks of the condo for any little extras you might want. The best part is that the beach is just a short walk from the condo! Whatever you choose to do, when you get back from your adventures, the condo is nice and quiet and oh-so comfortable. When it is time to go, everything you need to clean up after yourself is there as well – mop, broom, cleaning supplies, even a washer and dryer!!! (it’s nice to go home with clean beach towels!) Overall, this is at the top of my list for favorite vacation spots, and you just can’t beat the price for all the amenities that come with it.
Owner response:Thanks for the great comment. We have now have maid service so next time you stay no clean up is necessary!
