The Ohage House was perfect. We had a party of 9 that stayed and had dinner for 11 one evening.....more than enough room....great kitchen, fun game room, great location. We were attending the WCHA Final Five so was an easy walk to the Excel. Enjoyed the Science Museum, the River and the historic surrounding area. Great place to enjoy with family and friends. Our party said....lets do this again!!!

The Ohage house was comfortable, inviting and most of all Fully equipped for relaxation and fun in a the great city of St. Paul!!The owners were gracious and very helpful with information about the house and city!

The house, area, and owners were more than we could have asked for! It leaves fun and rich memories toward a daughters wedding in St.Paul! We plan on renting this home again and look forward to having more time to truely enjoy its warmth and charm! Dirk, thank-you for making us feel so much at home!

The Ohage house was a perfect location for our family gathering in the Twin Cities in May. And, the owners could not have been more accommodating. Ohage House in an historic district in St. Paul and is, itself, part of the area's history. The home is huge...we had more than 15 people for dinner and there was plenty of room. Great kitchen...and the game room is outstanding. There's also superb outdoor that are part of the property. If we travel to the Twin Cities again, we'll be staying here.

If we could rate this better than "excellent" we would!! Stayed at this beautiful home with a group of friends and we absolutely loved it!! The entire place was beautifully and tastefully decorated, spotless and comfortable. The home is perfect for group cooking in the kitchen, long group meals in the dining room and gathering for games and conversation every where in the home. Detailed information about using the home was provided to make our stay effortless. Some of us spent much time wandering through the beautiful garden. The location is in a beautiful neighborhood and is close to shopping and touring in the Twin Cities. We wished out stay was longer to make full use of both the Ohage House and all that the area has to offer. The owner responded quickly to my inquiries about the property prior to our stay, and was exceedingly welcoming and helpful as we arrived and during our stay. Even Sophie the gorgeous dog welcomed us enthusiastically and made our stay extra special! All of us would love to return and will definitely recommend this historic and lovingly restored home to our friends.

We will all have fond memories in the years to come of the time our family shared at this lovely home. Our quest of spending time in each room as well as a wonderful evening around the fire pit was captured by many photos. You won't be disappointed by choosing this as your destination and home base when visiting the area. It was a short drive to downtown Minneapolis for dinner and then to the theater to see Wicked. The Mall of America is very close and of course, downtown St. Paul is literally in your back yard. We highly recommend a stay at the Ohage Home.

My family loved the house. Very clean and details attended to! Great features! We mostly used the great game room with pinball and pool etc. and the big round table perfect for cards and other loud and raucous games (at least to some people-ha). Owners were very responsive and hospitable and yet unobtrusive. The place was very nice and we enjoyed it much! We will definitely keep this in mind if we ever have another reunion in beautiful St. Paul. It was easy to walk to nice restaurants and other amenities. Beautiful area and lots to do!

A perfect setting for two families to gather for pre-wedding time together! We cooked together and hung out a few days before the wedding, held at Irvine Park adjacent. And the mansion provided a perfect location for the groom's dinner in the spacious backyard. Absolutely delightful and relaxing setting.

Very spacious and pleasant home. the game room was a great feature for the young adults and others who enjoy pool,video games,etc. The outside is delightful,with a nice fire pit at the end of the yard, We had our morning coffee in the enclosed sun porch,that overlooks the back yard. It is close to many interesting sites.

We loved the house for our family get together during the memorial weekend. We appreciated the hospitality from the owners. They made us feel like it was our own house, at the same time provided the support whenever we needed it. Our adult children with their families felt they were right at home. They organized our 40th wedding anniversary party right on the property with more than 40 guests attending. Everyone admired the house. It was a wonderful experience.

We came from FL. to attend my sons' wedding. Instead of renting hotel rooms for family and the wedding party we thought it would be special to stay at a place where we could all be together...thus the Omage House was selected. The wedding photos were scheduled to take place at a local hotel but at the last minute they canceled. Ruth and Dirk allowed us to take the photos on their property and it couldn't have been better or more beautiful a backdrop! In fact, MN.BRIDE Magazine will be displaying the photos in their fall magazine!! The grandkids AND adults sledded,had snowball fights, played pool,cooked together, and enjoyed the activities nearby. All the things you can't do in a hotel really made a truely memorable experience! Thank you Ruth and Dirk for the best time!! ~The Shanley family

We had the pleasure of having our dream wedding at the Ohage Mansion in June 2009 and couldn't have asked for a better location! The mansion is exquisite, from the unique interior to the landscaped exterior. We only wish we would have stay longer as three nights was not nearly enough time to enjoy all that this dream home has to offer! Our friends and family members loved exploring the historic home and all of its wonders. The owners were more than gracious and became our friends. We hope to go back to the Ohage Mansion each summer and celebrate our anniversary.

This has been the most wonderful weekend. Staying here with my friends to celebrate my doctoral graduation could not have been more welcoming and comfortable. We felt like we were being pampered and yet free to do whatever we wanted. It was also a great place to have my reception! The neighborhood with its beautiful park, your historic home with your decorative flair and your generous hospitality made this a perfect get-away in the heart of the city. Thank you again.
