Nice place, for the most part. Our main issue came on the second day of our three day visit. Our two year old saw a bug in her room, we walked in and realized it was a scorpion! We ended up leaving that night (one night early) for fear of more. We alerted the owner of the scorpion issue and NEVER heard back. Things happen, bugs exist, but the owner's lack of communication or interest once he had our check would make me look for other cabins in this very pleasant village.
Owner response:The last email I received from the guest was that they loved the lodge. I did not receive the email about the bug. I have since left 2 voicemails with the guest to get more information. This lodge is located in a mountainous area. There is an abundance of wildlife. We spray twice a year to control pests. This is the 1st report like this in 3 1/2 years. My family is sorry that this happened on the last night of their stay. We will offer a complimtary night stay in the future to show our committment to guest satisfaction.

What a wonderful place to stay and experience nature right out your back door. A rustic cabin with luxury amenities and a great place to relax, read, and play wii.
