Hi Carlana, We just got back from our week in your wonderful home. Talk about getting away from it all! We loved it. Most of the folks we talked to said there weren't a lot of tourists during the Winter. That really surprises me. Loved the feel of the mountain air at night and enjoyed the sites. We are thinking about using our other week in July to try the summer functions as well. You have an amazing home and my kids really enjoyed the TRUE family time we had even without texting capabilities!!! We got plenty of firewood at Ingles (even got an advantage card!) and stocked up. Left quite a few things in the fridge that I figured your cleaning people might like. (Lots of beer, soda and non perishable items) I hope that was ok. Thanks again for sharing your lovely home. The decorations, the window treatments, just amazing. All the best...

The trip was great. Your cabin is beautiful and we had everything we needed. Plenty of room for everyone. We used the fire pit to toast marshmallows for s'mores. My kids (ages, 26,24,& 19) even cooked hot dogs over the fire! Very fun! We drove to Highlands one afternoon and enjoyed the beautiful mountain scenery and water falls along the way. Tim and I even snuck away for lunch at the Dillard House. Tim and I came up on Thursday and the kids joined us on Friday. The next time we do this we will definitely plan to have at least a couple of days for just the two of us! Thank you for the use of your cabin. It is so nice to actually get something even better than you expect. It is so often the other way around! The cabin really is beautiful and we truly enjoyed staying there. Thank you so much! Barbara

Your Cabin was a wonderful home away from home. It was a great base for all of the activities we enjoyed in the area. Everything was very clean and had everything you could possibly need. It was great making our meals and sitting on the deck to eat them. We made s'mores under the stars...just amazing. The view was spectacular without another cabin in site. We highly recommend this cabin to anyone vacationing in the Franklin area.

Great Mountain Getaway

This property is everything it is advertised to be and more. The most remarkable feature of this house is that it really feels like a home. From the furnishings to the appliances it is apparent that this home was built for a family. The setting is fabulous. The floor plan allows for everyone to be together and not be crowded and yet it easy to go off from the group for some quiet time. Comfortable couches and a large screen TV almost beg for a rainy day to relax. The house is equipped with high speed internet, used for searching waterfalls as we wanted to leave e-mail behind. The location is great and the drive along 64E to Highlands is breath taking. I have traveled to this area many times and consider this one of the best accommodations for location and comfort. Information on the rental from the owners was very detailed and easy to follow. It is easy to see they have a wonderful place and take great pride in it and seeing that you have a pleasant stay. I would highly recommend this to a friend."

Great Place at a Great Price!!

My wife and I stayed here April 20-24. As we arrived we could not believe how nice this house is. We spent four lovely nights. The weather was perfect. The house is about a 20 minute ride from downtown Franklin, but worth the drive. The house is very big and good for a family reunion or such. We will be doing this next year. The bed in master room very comfortable. The shower clean and fancy. We ate a few dinners at the house and it was very relaxing. It is extremely quite at night. Absolutely Breathtaking!

If you are looking for an absolutely perfect place for a getaway, this house is definitely the place to rent! The pictures on the website DON'T DO JUSTICE to this magnificent house! Its spacious three floors have quality furnishings throughout. No expense was spared in any room--and the kitchen has many top-of-the line features that'll delight everyone. Spectacular views can be enjoyed relaxing on a huge deck on the second-story or while sitting on the large patio by the outdoor fireplace. Abundant recreational opportunities and a number of wonderful restaurants are within a 30-minute drive (and lots of pamphlets are at the house to give you options).

Wow! This cabin is exactly what we were looking for. It is absolutely beautiful. We stayed for a week with my family of 5 (me, hubby, 3 boys ages 9, 14, 17) and my mother- & father-in-law. The cabin is exactly what I had envisioned staying in... rustic elegance, comfortable, cozy, secluded, great views, lots of windows (so you can tell you're in the mountains even when you're inside). The kids enjoyed all the snow and went sleighing. We LOVED the fire pit in the back yard; we roasted marshmallows and made smores. The views were great and we enjoyed the many trails that are in the neighborhood. The cabin is very secluded, yet still close enough to downtown Franklin with all of their wonderful little shops and places to eat. We will definitely be back. My boys said that we have found "our place" to come back to every year for our Winter trip. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful cabin with us!!!

We have a family of six with two teenagers, and we had the time of our lives this past week! When you first read the description for this house and look at the pictures you almost feel like it's too good to be true, but then you actually get there and you see that the pictures can't even do it justice! It snowed and the kids loved it! We spent the week enjoying the incredible view, watching movies at night, playing the many games available in the house (Pictionary is the best!), outdoor pit roasting marhmellows, hiking, sleighing, sightseeing and most of all just relaxing and enjoying our time together in the incredible spot. Carlana is very gracious and hospitable. She genuinely cared about us having a great time and went well out of their way to make sure that happened. Bottom line is we couldn't have asked for a better home to spend our vacation in, and we are all looking forward to the next time we can get back up there! ~ Winter 2011

This amazing home and the surroundings exceeded our expectations on so many levels. The home is a quality build with no detail forgotten. From the decor to the views to having everything we needed, our weekend was absolutely wonderful. We were a party of 14 made up of 4 moms and 10 children. We never felt cramped and the kids had a great time with their sleepovers in different areas. The location of this home is very peaceful and the views were gorgeous. We also would love to return during the spring, summer or fall. This was our first visit to the Smokey Mountains. I can honestly say that we have no plans of looking at other options the next time we want to come back. When you find a gem like this, there is truly no need. A "thank you" to Carlana and her family for sharing their home and for being so great to work with.
