Jones Beach is a beautiful lakefront luxury home, situated on prestigious Canandaigua Lake. This is a wonderful summer or winter vacation spot, just a few minutes from Bristol Mountain Ski Resort and Bristol Harbor Golf Resort!
Jones Beach is located just south of Bristol Harbor Golf Club, in a sophisticated lake front community of historic vacation homes. The home has been decorated to reflect its original décor - updated with all the modern conveniences of home. The home has an indoor swimming pool.
The long marble hallway leads past the picture windows overlooking the heated indoor pool, past the formal dining room and well-appointed kitchen, and into the walnut-paneled library. This wonderful space features a custom paneled walnut interior, vintage pool table in perfect condition, hand thrown Mexican floor tiles, and a stone fireplace with a sitting area surrounded by plenty of wonderful books and board games.
Continuing toward the lake front from the billiard room is a wide entrance to the living room. The 25ft. living room houses a piano, farm table with mahogany finish, 8 black Windsor chairs, two new queen size pull out sofas, and a fireplace topped by a 42 in. flat screen television.
The bedrooms have been updated with new draperies in 2007. The first floor bedroom suite has a full bathroom with tub shower combo and laundry room. Additional private entry through the garage makes it perfect for a vacationer needing private space of his or her own.
The first floor Master Bedroom overlooks the indoor swimming pool. Draperies insure privacy. This bright and airy space is complete with king size bed and charming seating area, master bath, dressing room, extensive closeting, full working fireplace, traditionally elegant, vintage, Van Luitt wall covering, custom bordered sculpted carpeting and a 32in. high definition television.
Also upstairs and to the left is a friendly and bright, spacious bedroom with two double beds, a small writing desk and extensive closeting, potentially a great space for kids or teens.
The third upstairs bedroom has a king bed, large closets and a decorative fireplace.
There are three full bathrooms in the home and the third full bath, with tub shower combo, is located upstairs. There is a half bath/powder room on the first floor, along with two other bathrooms. The home has a total of 3.5 bathrooms.
Enjoy picturesque, family- friendly swimming with panoramic views to the South and West. As with a traditional lake home, the front of the property is lakeside. The lake frontage is level and the patio area is outfitted with lounges and a table and provides ample seating for outdoor dining. The patio is a perfect place to sit back and enjoy cocktails and beautiful sunsets. Guests can also enjoy the use of a propane grill. Propane is supplied for your grilling pleasure.
There is also a 3.5 feet x 60 feet seasonal dock, and boat hoist for power boats. The water in front of the house is shallow and gradually gets deeper. Our dock is the perfect spot to swim or fish from. Hint: some of the lake’s best fishing is right off the end of the dock in the early evening hours.
In addition, there is a large grass side yard for outdoor games and activities.
The lake frontage is level and the patio area provides ample seating for outdoor dining. The home provides an excellent view of Bare Hill, known to the Seneca Native Americans as Genundowa. Surrounding Bare Hill is a 298 acre area with hiking trails, wildflowers, events and an opportunity to experience local history and lore. The vacation home offers lots of space, unique amenities and an opportunity to enjoy Canandaigua Lake with family and friends.
Canandaigua and the surrounding area has a lot to offer and is a wonderful choice for a relaxing vacation.

About the owner: We are twins, living in Boston and Chicago, and we adore this home and Seneca Point. We grew up with the wonderful neighbors, and we hope you will have the same delight in visiting this unique home.
Why the Owner Chose Canandaigua:
This is the home our grandparents built in 1962, and the site of their first summer cottage, where our father grew up. Our grandparents worked as lawyers in Canandaigua, and were the first year-round house to be built on Seneca Point. All of our happy childhood summers were spent here, water-skiing, swimming, fishing, and collecting little critters to surprise our mother. We purchased this house in an effort to keep it in the family and provide the same summer bliss to our own children and grandchildren.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This house was built with all the best construction, from the italian marble flooring to the walnut paneled billiard room designed around an antique Brunswick pool table. It is located extremely close to many attractions, but we find it difficult to find reasons to leave the property. Our grandparents chose this location specifically for the view and the level property, which is hard to find next to Canandaigua Lake!
