Aloha, OCEAN Views are yours! If you are looking for one of the BEST snorkeling Beaches on the Big Island this is the condo you want. We have a gentle beach just steps away. The snorkeling is absolutely incredible and since you are right there, you have the opportunity to go morning, noon and early evening . There are so many species of colorful fish and they are so friendly. We went in May, and I felt like I was in "Fish Heaven," they were that beautiful. Also there are lots of sea turtles that love swimming along with you.
For the teens, there is a surf shop to the North of the protected Kahalu'u Beach with surfboard rentals. Just past the gentle swimming/snorkeling beach is a nice gentle rolling surf that the surfers love. If you look on a satellite map, you will see the gentle surf to the North of Kahalu'u Beach. . Our condo is large, luxurious, designer decorated and has all the amenities you would desire. The condo features state of the art in design from the granite counter tops to the glass door cherry wood cabinets completely stocked with colorful dishes. The bathrooms have glass block showers and art glass sinks, just to name a few All of the rooms as well as the lanai have tropical ceiling fans and tray ceilings. There is a large flat screen TV in the living room with Disc player and a TV in each bedroom with disc player. We have free internet hookup and free long distance to the U.S. and Canada.
Kona is a very simple residential beach village with a beach town flair... Lowrise condos intermix with homes and parks..snorkel lagoons and little sandy coves....a real homey feel... compared to the resorts. You will fall in Love with The Big Island..

GOLF: If you are a golfer....we are less than 1/2 mile from The Kona Country Club which has 2 beautiful Ocean courses. There is also a nicerestaurant there overlooking the Ocean and course.
Our unit has a sofa bed as well as a porta crib and highchair for a baby.
POOL: The infinity pool is just steps away and has beautiful Ocean views. When you are swimming in the pool, it has the feeling of just spilling into the ocean. There is a keikei(kiddie pool) area in the big pool.) Great to sit and suntan in the shallow water or if you have little ones it is perfect for them. There is a lava rock spa and a gas barbeque. Tables and chairs as well as lounge chairs are in the pool area.
We are happy to provide our guests with lists of recommended nearby restaurants and lots of activities. We have a passion for the Big Island and love helping our guests with suggestions for their traveling needs. We also have a conscierge, Rebecca who is happy to work with you and help you with any of your island planning needs.

- Air Conditioning : Definitely recommend for July - Sept.In addition to the A.C. we have ceiling tropical fans in every room and also on the lanai. The trade winds are wonderful as we have great cross ventilation. Personally, we never use it, as we love the beach air. If you decide not to get this plan, it can always be turned on at a later time.

- Kayaks available at $40.00 per day at neaby Keauheou Bay. It is within walking distance. Lots of GREAT boat trips that go out to snorkeling/diving locations such as Captain Cook and City of Refuge which are about 20 miles or less from the condo. The Bay where you catch the boats is only 1/2 mile away. Enjoy the free open air trolley that runs every hour. Ride into town, the shopping center, Sheraton Hotel, the Pier, beaches, etc. It is very relaxing and excellent scenery along the way. It is fun to take into town in the evening, stroll around in the stores, restaurants and bars over the water. Then catch a ride back on the trolley. Also, we are near the Sheraton Hotel where you can go watch the Giant Manta Rays every night. They have a light in the water and the Manta's are incredible. You can view them right from the patio at the Sheraton...wonderful experience.

Why the Owner Chose Kahaluu Beach
The Location, Location, Location. How can you go wrong owning a piece of Paradise at the Best Snorkeling Beach on the Island. Kahalu'u has everything we had wanted, the gentle snorkeling/swimming beach. The abundant sea turtles you can swim with,check You Tube "Konagail" to view our recent video. There are also literally hundreds of species of colorful fish. I have so many great pics, I would love to send you some, just ask.
If you like nature, you can hike to the many secluded Ocean areas along Ali'i Drive. White Sands Beach is a nice walk and about 1/2 mile away. You can stroll through the grounds of the Keauheou Outrigger Hotel where you will find ancient fish ponds, King Kameamehaha's old stomping grounds and an ancient birthing area by the Ocean just to the South of the hotel.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
You won't want to leave the Lanai. We have colorful fiestaware dishes to make your table very Hawaiian and beautiful. Cast your views on the swaying palms and ocean, you won't want to leave the privacy of your lanai. Barbeque a steak or some fish down at the pool and take it up to the lanai and enjoy your evening by candle light while listening to Hawaiian music as the breeze gently blows. Bring back the romance. The Kona Pier is in Kona Town. You can rent jet skiis, wave runners, book boat trips etc. (see Rebecca at the Outrigger just across the street. She will be happy to take care of your booking needs.
The Airport is about 9 miles to the North of us. Be sure to check out nearby beaches...our favorite is Ke Kaha Kai just to the North across from the Veterans Cemetary.
A must stop after arriving at the Airport to get your supplies for the week ahead.
Just across the street is the Outrigger Hotel with wonderful historical grounds and a great bar over the water. They turn on lights and you see the eels and fish while sipping your cool tropical drin
This is a must....come view the Giant Manta Rays in the evening. The Sheraton Hotel has lights that attract the plankton. This is what the Giant Rays feed on. Come early in the evening, sip a drink
Rent a kayak and paddle to monument. This is a fun area for hiking. This is where the dolfins hang out. We swam with them one morning around 7:00 a.m. Really exciting!!!
On the Southern part of Kealakekua Bay you can rent kayaks We rented from a guy named Lonnie for $40.00 for the day.

Owning a piece of Hawaii, has always been our dream. We went to Kona in 2007 stayed at The Beach Villas at Kahalu'u, Phase I and were told Phase II would be build. We jumped at the chance to have the first choice for what we think is the best condo in Phase II. We are on the second floor and love the views of the coastline as well as the Beach. We wanted a place for us as well as our now grown and married kids, and grandkids to enjoy. We wanted a gentle beach and Love to snorkel. Kahalu'u is just incredible...so much color and colorful fish there along with numerous sea turtles. I have numerous pictures I would love to share if you would like me to send you some.
There are also historical grounds all around Kahalu'u for you to enjoy.

This is the condo we'd love to return to again and again. It's spacious and beautifully decorated, yet comfortable. A gourmet chef would love the kitchen and extensive granite counter space. The kitchen, as well as the master suite, opens to the covered lanai with gorgeous views, an inviting table and oh-so-comfortable chairs that will draw you out there from coffee to cocktails. The location is great with the best snorkeling beach across the street and it's a short ride into town for restaurants, shops, music, bars and the farmer's markets. There's so much to see and do on this island from exploring volcanoes, seeing the place of refuge, sea turtles, golf, beaching, watching sunsets... Gail offers great suggestions for activities and dining or whatever questions you might have. We had a great vacation with lots of things to see and do and a great home to return to every evening. Thank you Gail and Phil for sharing your home with us!

While we were not able to stay in this beautiful unit due to scheduling, the owners were overly gracious to assist us with finding another unit at the same location. These owners are exceptional to work with and provide a very customer centric attitude to assist anyone interested in their complex. Plus, the owners provide a WONDERFUL FUN list to do while in Hawaii. They couldn't have been more helpful since this location is a gorgeous place to stay in Hawaii.

What a delight our stay in "Gail's" condo was for the week of the Ironman race. All the amenities of home, spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated. The location was excellent as it was right at the run turnaround on Ali'i Drive. So many extras and personal touches made our experience such a comfortable one. We snorkeled with the turtles every day right across the street. All the photos are very accurate. Gail called in just to make sure we had everything we needed, including the boogie boards!. The kitchen is fully stocked with the most modern utensils and the dishes and glassware are gorgeous. We were thrilled to stay here and most definitely hope to return.

The location of the condo is ideal. The sunsets viewable from the lanai are incredible. There is a wonderful snorkel beach across the street that provides hours of entertainment. The condo has a very nice layout with the bedrooms at opposite ends providing privacy for the adults. There are 3 TVs that allows everyone their own view pleasure after a long day at the beach. The Kids enjoyed the sparkling pool and the turtle deck in the water. It was a perfect home away from home.

Very pleased with the location, size & amenities of this Kahalu'U beach condo. Our family of 5 managed quite well. Gail was very helpful in providing information and tips to help make our vacation as enjoyable as possible. She even helped bail us out when we locked ourselves out of the condo. Truly made us her welcomed guests. Location was excellent for the excursions we took, both North & South. Might recommend some board games to enjoy on the lanai. We'd happily recommend this property to others.

This is absolutely a must-do place to stay while in Kona! I grew up on the Big Island, and wanted to stay near Kahalu'u Beach, the best beach in the Kailua-Kona area. I couldn't be more pleased with this choice. The condo is in a picture perfect location, and absolutely beautiful inside. There is not one negative thing to say about it. I will recommend this to everyone I know who makes a trip to Kona!

This condo is beautiful. We booked it for our 8 night stay (and first time) in Kona. We were so happy that we choose this island, this area, and this condo. We brought our own snorkle gear and snorkled nearly everyday. The sea turtles will swim right up to you. We Kayaked out to Captain Cook Monument and snorkled there-it was gorgeous. We also took surf lessons right down the street. We took a day and drove to the East side of the island. We went to Volcano National Park, saw many beautiful waterfalls and rainforests. The condo had everything we could have possilby needed. I ate breakfast and drank my Kona coffee on the lanai every morning. Everything is so clean and well kept. Hopefully we will get to come back to Kona and we will surely stay here again.

We just returned from a one-week stay at this Kahalu'u Beach condo and it was sensational. It provided everything we were hoping for on our vacation. The snorkeling bay just across the street was excellent and was the best snorkeling we have ever experienced as a family. When we weren't in the bay, we spent time in the wonderful pool or just relaxing on the shaded lanai watching the waves and the palm trees sway. The condo is quiet yet located close to many activities and attractions. We visited a black-sand beach, active volcano, farmers markets, some alternate snorkeling locations, and places of historic and cultural interest. This condo was everything it promised and more. Even though we never met face-to-face, Gail was very helpful and made us feel like her welcomed guests. We would love to stay here again and will certainly recommend this condo to our friends.
