Due to a scheduling conflict we were unable to book this particular unit....HOWEVER, our interaction with the owner was WONDERFUL.....she was extremely helpful and was able to offer some great tips for Hawaii. She was prompt, professional and extremely friendly! We will definitely contact her for future bookings. The location of this condo is perfect - right across from a great snorkeling beach....esp. nice when you've got kids. A big Mahalo for the wonderful service!

We are just back from an 19 night stay. The property is very well kept, and our unit was fabulous. The large lanai overlooks the beach accross the street. The infinity pool is lovely and appropriate for all ages. It is a small property so there were never a lot of people at the pool, lots of lounger chairs available. Gail gave us a welcome call when we arrived to make sure everything was alright, and did a follow up call later in our stay. The building manager also checked in to check whether we need anything. The barbeque always had propane in the tank and we never had to wait to use it. This is a beautiful property and I highly recommend it.

"We had an absolutely fabulous time in Kona and your condo was great! Thank you so much for letting us stay there for a week. It was one of the best vacations we've had and we all agreed we'd love to go back some day. The kids had fun staying in their own room and the sand/beach toys were so nice to be able to borrow. Thanks again - you have an amazing home in Kona and what a great location!"

The pool was a bit cold for me the week we were there, but the kids loved it! I loved the hot tub. Thanks again - you have an amazing home in Kona and what a great location!

This condo is exactly as advertised. Clean, well kept with all the amenities near by. 10 minute car ride to shopping centre, costco and walmart. Steps to a beach with excellent snorkeling, and the complex is perfect for people of all ages. Nice little bbq and patio area with a hot tub and pool, all well kept. We made use of the bbq everyday, saved a ton of money on food!! Surf and paddle board lessons are right across the street as well!! Kayaking nearby and a 5 minute drive to Kona Golf and Country Club. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Would definitely stay here again!

Subject: Mahalo Dear Gail, My daughter and I recently returned from a wonderful vacation to the Big Island, (Feb. 2012) where we really enjoyed staying at your condo in Kona. The condo was absolutely charming, and the patio was perfect for enjoying unforgettable views of the ocean. The two bedrooms were ideal for my daughter and me. We particularly enjoyed the convenience of having a new kitchen at our disposal. In addition, the condo was ideally located – perfect for driving North to the Marina (where we rented a boat and my daughter went scuba diving) as well as South to the Kealakekua Bay State Historical Park (where we kayaked and snorkeled among the spinner dolphins). The snorkeling right off the condo was also unbelievable. My daughter saw three sea turtles in the first 15 minutes! We took your advice and enjoyed an amazing dinner – and a fabulous view of the sunset – at Sam Choy’s, which is just blocks from the condo. Thank you for sharing your condo and for helping to create a wonderful vacation. Sincerely, Richard Kiekow

While we were not able to stay in this beautiful unit due to scheduling, the owners were overly gracious to assist us with finding another unit at the same location. These owners are exceptional to work with and provide a very customer centric attitude to assist anyone interested in their complex. Plus, the owners provide a WONDERFUL FUN list to do while in Hawaii. They couldn't have been more helpful since this location is a gorgeous place to stay in Hawaii.

What a delight our stay in "Gail's" condo was for the week of the Ironman race. All the amenities of home, spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated. The location was excellent as it was right at the run turnaround on Ali'i Drive. So many extras and personal touches made our experience such a comfortable one. We snorkeled with the turtles every day right across the street. All the photos are very accurate. Gail called in just to make sure we had everything we needed, including the boogie boards!. The kitchen is fully stocked with the most modern utensils and the dishes and glassware are gorgeous. We were thrilled to stay here and most definitely hope to return.

This is the condo we'd love to return to again and again. It's spacious and beautifully decorated, yet comfortable. A gourmet chef would love the kitchen and extensive granite counter space. The kitchen, as well as the master suite, opens to the covered lanai with gorgeous views, an inviting table and oh-so-comfortable chairs that will draw you out there from coffee to cocktails. The location is great with the best snorkeling beach across the street and it's a short ride into town for restaurants, shops, music, bars and the farmer's markets. There's so much to see and do on this island from exploring volcanoes, seeing the place of refuge, sea turtles, golf, beaching, watching sunsets... Gail offers great suggestions for activities and dining or whatever questions you might have. We had a great vacation with lots of things to see and do and a great home to return to every evening. Thank you Gail and Phil for sharing your home with us!

condo was perfect for a family with 2 teenagers, having separate bedrooms and a kitchen was a must and they could walk across the street to the beach when they wanted. we used the condo as a base for sightseeing and spent as much time on the road as at the condo. we did the hilo volcano helicopter ride, the mauna kea space observatory ( boy was it cold even with the parkas), snorkeling at captain cook, but my kids favorite thing was the zipline at the north end with ecotours,

The location of the condo is ideal. The sunsets viewable from the lanai are incredible. There is a wonderful snorkel beach across the street that provides hours of entertainment. The condo has a very nice layout with the bedrooms at opposite ends providing privacy for the adults. There are 3 TVs that allows everyone their own view pleasure after a long day at the beach. The Kids enjoyed the sparkling pool and the turtle deck in the water. It was a perfect home away from home.

This is absolutely a must-do place to stay while in Kona! I grew up on the Big Island, and wanted to stay near Kahalu'u Beach, the best beach in the Kailua-Kona area. I couldn't be more pleased with this choice. The condo is in a picture perfect location, and absolutely beautiful inside. There is not one negative thing to say about it. I will recommend this to everyone I know who makes a trip to Kona!

Very pleased with the location, size & amenities of this Kahalu'U beach condo. Our family of 5 managed quite well. Gail was very helpful in providing information and tips to help make our vacation as enjoyable as possible. She even helped bail us out when we locked ourselves out of the condo. Truly made us her welcomed guests. Location was excellent for the excursions we took, both North & South. Might recommend some board games to enjoy on the lanai. We'd happily recommend this property to others.

This condo is beautiful. We booked it for our 8 night stay (and first time) in Kona. We were so happy that we choose this island, this area, and this condo. We brought our own snorkle gear and snorkled nearly everyday. The sea turtles will swim right up to you. We Kayaked out to Captain Cook Monument and snorkled there-it was gorgeous. We also took surf lessons right down the street. We took a day and drove to the East side of the island. We went to Volcano National Park, saw many beautiful waterfalls and rainforests. The condo had everything we could have possilby needed. I ate breakfast and drank my Kona coffee on the lanai every morning. Everything is so clean and well kept. Hopefully we will get to come back to Kona and we will surely stay here again.
Owner response:We welcome families with children, such as Melissa and her family, honeymooners, retirees, etc. We have the perfect location on the Big Island...right at the ocean and have all the conveniences of home.

We just returned from a one-week stay at this Kahalu'u Beach condo and it was sensational. It provided everything we were hoping for on our vacation. The snorkeling bay just across the street was excellent and was the best snorkeling we have ever experienced as a family. When we weren't in the bay, we spent time in the wonderful pool or just relaxing on the shaded lanai watching the waves and the palm trees sway. The condo is quiet yet located close to many activities and attractions. We visited a black-sand beach, active volcano, farmers markets, some alternate snorkeling locations, and places of historic and cultural interest. This condo was everything it promised and more. Even though we never met face-to-face, Gail was very helpful and made us feel like her welcomed guests. We would love to stay here again and will certainly recommend this condo to our friends.

My family and I spent the first two weeks of Dec, 2010 at this condo. We had a fabulous stay. We were travelling with a baby and found all of the equipment that we needed. Gail even supplied a high chair for our stay. The facilty lacked nothing and the decor was very current and extremely pleasant. I can't describe the perfection of the lanai. The view and the cool breeze from the ocean have to be experienced. We practically did all of our living out there. Gail was very helpful and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend this condo to anyone. I hope that I can go back again soon.

My family stayed at the condo for a week in Sep. Our experience was everything we had hoped for...beaches, view, close to shopping and entertainment. Gail stayed in contact with us for over 6 mos leading up to our reservation answering questions and providing info on possible things to do on the Big Island. All the extras made the difference on this rental...the unit had a phone, cable TV in both bed rooms and the living room, beach toys for the kids, boogie boards, & the beach mat and umbrella. We enjoyed breakfast on the lani with the ocean view, walked across the street to the beach everyday, and usually drove 5 mins to the "tourist town" area down Ali'i Drive for dinner in the evenings. We will definitely book with Gail on our next trip to Kona.

In real estate they say it is all about location, location, location and this condo has it! The wide unobstructed views of the palm lined beach and awesome sunsets are amazing. Walk across the street and you will be snorkeling among schools of vibrantly colored fish. We even swam with turtles! The first night we were tired from a long day of traveling but were able to walk across the street to the Outrigger for excellent fish and chips (butterfish!) with views of parrot fish, butterfly fish, eels etc. swimming right beside our table. If you want to do a boat snorkeling or diving trip the best location Kealakekua Bay is only minutes away. The condo is beautiful and very nicely appointed. We hope to come back!

We just finished 5 days at Phil and Gail's Condo on the Big Island after several days on Oahu and we had a great time there. The condo is really well set up and in a great location. It is close to Kona if you want to enjoy the many restaurants there and it is well appointed for the meals you want to enjoy "at home" on your own schedule. We spent some time daily at the beach across the road which was good for all of us. We snorkled hours on end and then spent time in the pool before cleaning up for the adventures farther away. It is so relaxing to get up in the morning, brew a fress pot of coffee and then enjoy it on the lanai while eating fresh fruit and listening to the waves hitting the beach. While I know we have other Islands to explore I also know the next time we hit the Big Island we will contact Phil and Gail before considering any other location.

We had a wonderful time during our trip to the Big Island. We loved the condo. It is right on the beach, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The owners provided good information about local activities/places that are not always listed in the guidebooks (Hapuna Beach is now one of our favorites) The best part of every day was waking up in the morning and sitting on the lanai enjoying the ocean view. Paradise!!!!

The condo at Beach Villas was PERFECT for us! Right across the street from the best snorkeling beach and at the quieter end of Alii Drive. The owner was extremely helpful, gave us lots of tips and a list of things to do, and called us upon arrival and the day before we left. The owner provided beach chairs, a cooler, floats, beach umbrella etc, which were very useful. The condo was lovely, immaculate and quiet. The view of the beach was fantastic. We will be back!

12/04/09 We had a wonderful time in Kona. Gail & Phil's Condo is beautifully decorated, spacious & had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the view from the Lanai. We watched the activities that was going on at Kahaluu Beach every morning while having breakfast. In the evening we watched the sunset with a glass of wine. The condo is walking distance to Keauhou Mall. A Trolley picks up passengers every hour across the street at the Outrigger Hotel. **It takes you downtown all the way to the pier & also goes to Keauhou Mall. There are lots of things to do in the island. We spent some time at Kahaluu, Magic Sand, Hapuna Beach & a beach by the old airport. My family enjoyed the snorkling & Boogie Boarding. We did the Circle the Island tour, went to a luau, toured some resorts & coffee farms. All in all we had a great time in the 12 days we were in Kona. Having a comfortable condo to go home to at the end of the day made it much more enjoyable. I will definitely tell my friends & relatives about this condo & hopefully can stay there again on our next visit. Jack & Mila Nanton, AB, Canada

I would highly recommend this condo unit to anyone! You always wonder how accurate the photos are to what you will actually find upon your arrival. What you see is what you get. The condo is beautifully decorated, the units are newer and well kept, and the ocean across the street, as well as the pool are even better than they look. We would stay again in a moment. You don't even have to get in a car and you can still enjoy wonderful snorkeling, a nice pool with beautiful pool, and lanai that gives you a great ocean view. You can't beat this place - which is reasonably priced.

What an amazing place this is! The condo was just beautiful and we enjoyed waking up every morning to an incredible view over a cup of coffee. The best snorkeling we have ever done is right across the street from this place. So many different varieties of beautiful and colorful fish! And you are always guaranteed to see several turtles! Just incredible. There is so much to do in Kona from biking, surfing, scuba diving, hiking, snorkeling. And we saved a TON of money by staying in this condo and making most of our own food! We really enjoyed cooking and having dinner out on the linai with a pina colada. Perfect place for kids too! They had a blast in the infinity pool. Wow!! This Condo really is breathtaking. The grounds are nice, new, clean, and neat. It is right across the street from the best snorkeling spot I have been to on the island. It's breathtaking to walk in the door and see out the lanai and see the stretch of beautiful Hawaiin Ocean. We decided to eat on the lanai nearly every night because it was so nice. All of the furnishings are new, and comfortable. Everything is provided from sheets, towels, dishes etc. We brought our clothing and bought some food and were good to go. I have been to this condo once with my three young children and we all had our best family vacation ever. My wife and I loved it so much we went back with some good friends of ours and can't wait to get back again. This place is as spectacular as it is made out to be. The condo is beautiful; the pictures are an accurate representation. The location is ideal - across the street from the best snorkeling anywhere and four or more turtles were always out. Everything you'll ever need is included in the condo, even flashlights. Shopping is conveniently located at Keahou, along with a few restaurants. Gail provides the best information and contacts for any activity you might want to do. We went out of Keahou Bay and saw 50-100 dolphins on both the way down and way back from Captain Cook monument. In the morning, you can even swim with the dolphins. I snorkeled at Captain Cook, but the snorkeling is even better across the street from the condo. If we return to Kona, we will try to stay at Gail's Kahalu'u Beach Villas.

Our family of 4 spent 5 days at Kahalu'u Beach villas in March '09. We had a fabulous time there. We rented a 2 bedroom condo from Gail Eddy. The condo was much more than we had expected. The rooms were spacious, flat screen TVs x 3, furnished with stylish, yet comfortable, furniture. Our daughter was home from college on springbreak and the well-equipped kitchen made it easy to cook home meals! Gail's condo is located in the perfect spot, across from one of the kid-friendly beaches. Also, the best restaurants on the island are around Alii drive. Gail is a friendly and communicative person. She kept us informed about the condo, directions etc. She also gave us advice on sightseeing and was very helpful in making our holiday perfect. I hope I get to interact with her again. Gouri Sivarajan Your plans for a concierge sound great and I hope it works out. Although from my perspective, it would be hard to improve upon perfection! The absolute beauty of your condo, the incredible location and the ease of making the arrangements, i.e., you working with us to establish a week that would work for us. As I mentioned, this is the first time I've made vacation arrangements over the internet. Nothing could have prepared us for the absolutely stunning condo and perfect location that is your condo! You told us that the condo was fully furnished, however, I thought there would be something we'd need that wasn't provided - but you were correct....everything needed was provided with your condo! Right down to the utensils for the outdoor grill by the pool! The proximity to a great shopping area for groceries was so convenient. Your "tips" about things to see and do - great beaches, manta ray viewing, SeaQuest, free bus from the Outrigger with stops along the way to Kona, suggested restaurants, etc. - all added up to a spectacular "family vacation" that we will never forget. We are still talking about the amazing bathrooms - absolutely beautiful! Having a washer, dryer, dishwasher, garbage disposal, huge refrigerator - it was really better than home. The view when we entered the condo thru the tri-glass doors to the lanai was just breathtaking. And the "mood music" playing softly in the background really let us know we were in "Island Mode"! Thanks for everything - the follow up phone calls to be sure everything was alright, the e-mails before and after our vacation - you have been great and we do hope to return next spring. Sharon

This is one of the Most beautiful condos we have ever stayed at. Walking in the door almost brought me to tears. And if you like snorkeling and swimming Kahalu'u Beach is right there. I would give this place 5 plus stars.... The Outrigger Hotel is just across the street and has a fantastic bar over the water. At night we would see the eels and fish while we sipped our drinks. Can't wait to go back to this condo.
