Lake Andrew Cabin - 225 Feet of Sandy Shoreline!

  Have been there the last two falls in early october and both times experienced some fabulous walleye fishing with their small fishing boat. The lake also has super bass fishing along with some crappie and northern. Good weather or bad...this cabin/home makes for a super retreat where can play games and relax in bad weather and do water recreation and bonfires when nice. Amenities galore...with beautiful views.

  The rooms were great in size and offered plenty of space for 6 adult and 6 kids. The bedrooms were good size and very comfortable. The remodling of the downstairs was very nice. The washer and dryer was great. The beach area was awesome. Plenty of sand for the little ones to play and great swimming area for the older kids. Loved the wrap around deck, was able to sit and enjoy watching the kids swim or sit and watch the sunset over the lake. And the new grill was use a lot. The guys were able to catch a mess of Walleyes for one of our evening meals. In fact my Granddaughter caught the biggest Bass off the dock with a homemade fishing pole made from a stick. The kids also loved the variety of movies that was provided. The peaceful sounds of the lake during the day and night was wonderful. It was like we had the whole lake to ourselves. The only thing I would change is the stove, even though it was charming the lack of a burner made it hard to cook for a large family. Also a bigger dinning table and more chairs would be nice too. All in all it was a great vacation home and would love to come back again. Oh and not to forget how friendly and helpful the owners and Dwayne & Judy were.

  Our family vacationed in Alexandria for 25 years before the resort we went to closed. We found this house on the VBRO site and thought it looked nice. When we arrived the home far exceeded our expectations! The moment we walked in we felt at home. Hard wood floors in the fully stocked kitchen, carpet in all the living areas and fantastic views of the lake are just a few things we loved. We also loved the air conditioning on one of the hottest summers to date! Our kids loved jumping off the dock and playing in the sand box area. We used the fire pit on more than one occasion for smores, and there were lots of rafts to just float on the lake. The lake was quiet and we loved the privacy. I think we would love to make this our new vacation spot! All the family members we spoke to were very friendly and helpful!! I would recommend it to everyone!!!

  YOU CANNOT GO WRONG IF YOU WANT ABSOLUTE PRIVACY; AMENITIES GALORE; COMFORT; GOOD FISHING; WONDERFUL CAMPFIRES WITH FIREWOOD PROVIDED; NUMEROUS GAMES INCLUDING VIDEOS AND OUTDOOR GAMES; BEAUTIFUL SUNSETS FROM THE DECK; DOCK, SANDBOX(BEACH) FOR KIDS WITH BEACH TOYS; A NEW GAS GRILL AND DISHWASHER AND THE BEST, A VIEW OF THE LAKE WHICH IS TOTALLY AWESOME!! THE FLOWER GARDENS, POTS AND YARD UPKEEP IS REFRESHING!!!! THE CABIN IS SUPER CLEAN AND RECENTLY UPDATED THE TOWN OF ALEXANDRIA HAS MUCH TO OFFER ESPECIALLY THE SUMMER THEATRE, ART IN THE PARK, CARLOS CREEK WINERY,TWO MUSEUMS; RESTAURANTS GALORE; GOLF UNLIMITED WITH AT LEAST 10 COURSES WITHIN 5 MILES;MINI GOLF AND MANY LAKES TO EXPLORE IN THE AREA.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.
