Eleven west is a beautiful, professionally decorated, three bedroom, two bath, one story home on Pelican Lake's sugarsand North Shore Beach. The home was so named because it is located eleven houses west of the house where Sinclair Lewis wrote Elmer Gantry during the summer of 1927. From its spacious deck one can see for eight miles to the south shore of the lake.
According to A. W. research, Pelican Lake is one of the top 10 cleanest lakes in the USA with a water clarity level of 26 feet. Just walk out the French doors and on to the sugar sand and into the water where the hard sand lake bottom has no weeds and a very gradual depth. It is one of the best walleye fishing lakes in the state.
Eleven West has maple floors, a wood-burning fieldstone fireplace, and beautiful furnishings. In the large living room with a foyer and a 12 foot cathedral ceiling, the focal points are the floor to ceiling fieldstone fireplace and the French doors opening out to the beach and nearly 9000 acres of water. The leather sofa, books, artwork and unique antler tables provide a western motif to this elegant home.
This property is less than 10 minutes from Deacon's Lodge Golf Course called by Golf Magazine one of the top 100 courses in the country. It is also located moments from the Paul Bunyan Trail offering 57 miles of paved biking trails. There are 35 public golf courses close by along with 15 fine dinning restaurants.
